rome made their own version of Cataphracts as their mercenary cav force and they later made it a premanent force for rome when rome slit in to 2 empires but only the eastern roman empire used them as a force that wasnt a mercenary one.

@syncmaster930 Rome did NOT have cataphracts. Cataphracts were only used in the east. Rome historically used infantry and viewed cavalry, even heavy cavalry, as supporting units.

if what you want to know is If theres any mod for M2TW about the roman era, i think there are a few ones, but theyre not really good.

Theres Europa Barbarorum II coming in a few years.

Europa barbarorum was the best RTW mod before RSII came out

@XDlolzilla i know EB2 is Cool......but i don't want to play the very Early years of Roman,when they are not yet called Roman Republic but instead Romani,those are the days when Romans were not yet fully Civilized,i like to play it in the same Era as RTW where you can have Legionaires already with those cool looking Armors.

Go to TW center and look for the RTW mods

and no, you wont be able to play the Vanilla version of the game once you have installed RSII... unless you install another version of the Vanilla game in a different directory.

any way, you wont want to play the vanilla game once you have tried out RSII!!!!!!!!!!!

@PatriotGabe download the MOD @ TW center.com ..make a copy of Vanilla Rome & install the Mod into the Copied Folder .. Then U can still play regular ROME ;D on your first Rome File..

silly me, i downloaded RS II about a week ago & still haven't installed it yet lol, cos i'm playing a bit Invasio Barbarorum since lately i got crazed for late romans & byzantines . But this video made me think again hehe, thumbs up mate.

Very nice! Love to watch all that action without lag. Your rig must be an animal to be able to handle rain, grass, fire, and all those troops. I thought the music was a good choice. Great vid.

Good job! For next time however, videos like this seem a little more epic when the soldiers' actions reflects the music to some degree. For example, on an upbeat you can edit it so that you see a giant rock from a catapult slam into a group of soldiers, etc

Just a tip go into your preference file in the RTW file for XGM and turn Banners to False so it takes the flags out when you record =) nice vid btw
