  • For a good stretch, Lloyd Carr delivered better seasons than Bo did. But he always had enemies and he was always angry about something. He certainly seemed to be a man of character but, as others say, rumor has it his last years were ones of frustration. Ohio beating him year after year probably did lead to an ultimatum which forced him to retire. Then followed: absolutely the stupidest search to replace him (as if they didn't know he'd retire!). Sad.

  • @chucknorrisworshiper He was planning to retire right after Wisconsin blew his ass out. He had 5 good years left. He planned to retire right after Oregon kicked his ass, not AS. He knew he had a rebuilding year after Hart and company, then was planning to win a championship with some phenoms on defense, but he was told, "Retire or get fired".

  • As a Buckeye fan, I can say this is just another reason to hate the U of M. Force out a class act and hall of fame coach like Carr to bring in Dick Rod. Thanks for making it easy.

  • Word's of Wisdom Lloyd, words of wisdom...

  • Legend

  • Who in the heck is Park And Ham Beaty?

  • He was a good man, in tradition with the family plan. (From Elton John's "Levon.":-)

  • Class act! Proud to have had such a quality man represent the U of M!
