I have frogs that eat crickets and if you watch they're sometimes still alive inside of the stomach of the frog. Shitty for the crickets, but I did introduce their species to my area and they mated with the local field crickets and produced a new cricket. So I would say I did them a favor. There's nothing wrong with a lizard eating an insect - and likewise, there is nothing wrong with an insect eating a lizard.
What I do find wrong is how it was forced, "just to see" how they greet each other. Put em in a tank and tilt it over to force the lizard to face the mantis?

@JesusChristRulesYOU Animals kill each other all the time. I have feeder fish in with my turtle. He chooses to eat commercial food more so and because well, he is a lazy turtle. I have frogs that eat crickets and if you watch they're sometimes still alive inside of the stomach of the frog. Shitty for the crickets, but I did introduce their species to my area and they mated with the local field crickets and produced a new cricket. So I would say I did them a favor. Yes I did this on purpose.

There's nothing wrong with a lizard eating an insect - and likewise, there is nothing wrong with an insect eating a lizard.
What I do find wrong is how it was forced, "just to see" how they greet each other. Put em in a tank and tilt it over to force the lizard to face the mantis?
If you were just feeding your mantis, alright, nice hefty meal but It doesn't seem that way and that's what I dislike about this video despite the fascination of the underdog being the lizard instead of the insect.

I really don't see what's so "wrong" about this.. I think it's fascinating to watch! It's not something one sees everyday. I agree with bxwarrior - if the roles were reversed ppl would just call that "feeding a lizard". is there really anything that unfair about his plight besides just being a yard lizard? they breed in the THOUSANDS and their brains weight about as much as a few grains of sand! That's why he's a prey item! he'd quite likely just get eaten by something else anyhow!
