well Carlsen would never play his king to d4 seeing that bf2+ loses the rook, its true that his move is confirmed once he let go of the piece, still its not really a good way to win..btw carlsens evaluation was +1.0 i checked his position with houdini.. Not cool to lose an almost won game due to 1 overcorrect guy.. and yeah carlsen is kinda arrogant, i dont like that either -.-
@chessmassi thats a tournament rules unless carlsen didnt drop the king he can still place it to the right square that so called touched move in chess rules... Time used only to determined how fast the player think with brilliant moves... In this game its blitz
Carlsen receives all that attention, to be the first in the world is not easy... I think that all that watchers around him gives an extra pression and as anyone else (but of course less than anybody else) he sometimes blunder his game... But still #1. ¡Great Carlsen!
@chessmassi the official rule says the movement has been done when the piece has bee dropped. How ever in friendly games, pressing of the clock is usually the sign of piece moved.
@MikeDecipher lol, I've watched so many Carlsen videos, always looked like he can't stand to lose, that face he pulls at 9:11 makes him look like an arrogant little brat
@Th0usandMaster 19 then, hardly a kid, which is exactly how he acted like. He resigned out of fear for his image, not out of respect. Had they played in a private room, he would've probably thrown a fit.
@BachFong11 A play can not be changed if the part is released in a box and the movement is legal, unless the opponent does not request the end of the play.

Be1 sets a trap, those backwards "enfiades" are so hard to see!!!
A friend recently lost a game by a mate in 2 with N+R with the K coming from his first rank :P
He told me, I forgot he could move backwards ... lol

being where he is, ranked 1st, how could he be ok with losing because of a blunder?

@chessmassi If the player asks the referee fails.

@chessmassi If the player requests, the movement must be done.

he lost because he had to go Kd4 because he released the piece, and after Kd4, Bf2+ wins the rook

Why did Carlsen lose? Just because he lifted his hand off his king? He didn't push the clock yet? Can someone explain??

@BachFong11 The rule, i believe, is that once you have taken your hand of a moved piece you are no longer allowed to move it

Very good trick 32...Rb3!! (at 7:48) prepared by 31...Kf7 on the previous move from Savchenko. Carlsen probably missed this.
