  • @newf360 oh yeah mention his weight because you disagree with him THAT'LL win you some friends. Reread what you wrote and realize it's the reason why you are an insular lonely prick who feels the need to lash out about someone's weight and hope they die. :)

  • what a dumb fat fucker. at least the world won't have to listen to this guy much longer, being that fat he's do for a heart attack any day now.

  • Do you not find that this video, is innately hypocritical. Yes the video my be Ironic, but suffers from the very problem that is being ranted about.

Having said that I agree with it and agree with many of the other videos posted by Jim Sterling.

so I dont know where I stand with him on this video.

  • did you say Gordan freeman?

  • It's really entertaining to watch this. Both because Sterling sometimes makes points I think are extremelly intelligent, and sometimes a load off complete bullshit. This one is the first, and then comes the second part of the mini-rant, and the best one: Reading the coments to see retards attack him. Sometimes there are intelligent people who attack him, and that's easy to notice when the point they're making MAKES SENSE or at least they're actually making a point other that "This sucks".

  • what is his opening song =T-T=

  • @grayterminal232

    drill queen

  • @grayterminal232

    drill queen- born depressed

  • Anone else know someone one facebook/twitter that just does this constantly, every time a semi famous celebrity dies?

  • celebrities should mean nothing to all, most of em don't have success because of talent or brain.

  • I think the problem is that some sites are trying to turn video games into a lifestyle. That's why we get all these reports on "geeky shows" (where geeky just means supernatural) and stuff.

  • GamesRadar maybe?

  • The irony, Sterling is notorious among gaming communities for trolling just to stir up controversy. Hence, get page views.

  • @Chriskent101 Or maybe he does it for the lulz ^^

  • Loads of people were exploiting Wes Leonard's death to get hit. It's ridiculous.

  • I've honestly got to disagree here. I'd rather hear about news and world events from the perspective of a gamer, even if it's a tenuous link than hearing about a Mario tattoo. Say for example someone is discussing an issue concerning DVD region coding and laws concerning that. Sure it's not about gaming, but games are often region coded too so it could be linked, plus I buy DVD's. So I'm interested. Someone doodled Mario on his cock? I really don't give a shit. Interesting =/= most relevent.

  • Our business!, the only business you have is with Jenny.

  • I don't really see the point of a video bashing of other reviewers, it just doesn't seem like anybody well... cares?

But then again if SOMEONE doesn't call them out on it then itll only get worse...

  • Commenting today because I saw an article on Kotaku about killer mosquitos.

  • @JRod8885

i left a screen cap from this video on that mosquito story. i hope that's okay with Dtoid. i don't give a fuck if it's okay with kotaku.

  • @ArsonMurderJaywalkin

The journalist said, "Where one frozen unfrozen global moran for members of the what did you go incidents related stalwart most your." Later he added, "It's moslems mentioned mcfarland dot blot but uh... the."

Alien Ant Farm said, "They treat their units."

  • The laugh was brilliant!

  • Barrack Obama brushed his teeth today, which is reminiscent of the character Zach Hammond from dead Space and how a brute CLEANED the floor with him, so let us talk about Dead Space because it is completely relevant.

  • This guy is so fucking full of himself. Also, it's not OK to report popular news stories for page views but it is alright to give buggy outdated piece of shit games perfect scores to drum up controversy for page views?

  • You're my new Youtube hero.

  • Kotaku could learn a thing or two from this...

  • You're the perfect, stereotypical, fatass basement gamer.

You just have it a bit big.

  • Kotaku has been NOTORIOUS for this kind of behavior as of late. They recently posted an entire article about that fucko who killed those people in Arizona because he posted on a videogame forum.

  • you are mt hero man i totally agree with you man. Keep up the awesome work breh

  • wait arent you the guy who had a meltdown at the game journalists are incompetant fuckwits guy for calling you out on exactly what you complain about in this video

  • @shinymans No. Jim Sterling and Ben Paddon from that site actually get along famously well. So, you're wrong.

  • @DTOID oh

  • I got ban from kotaku when they posted the story about when one of the 2 cory's died and I commented saying why is this on here.

  • Ant farms kind of have a 2-D view, and lots of video games have aliens....so an alien video game is like an Alien Ant Farm! PUBLISH!

  • 3:53 - 4:10

    Epic.

  • 3:53

    Epic.

  • dang why is it so deep

  • Nice Final Fantasy IX music. :3

  • That might be the greatest laugh I've heard this decade. Each time I can barely hold back choking on my laughter and terror.

  • you love talking shit dont you lol i would hate 2 argue with you

  • Comment removed

  • Your laugh amuses me for some reason it's just so evil.

  • It's just cross promotion between the Gawker media sites, right? I agree with Jim on this one, but I can see why Kotaku's doing it. I think they've started a trend of "top 10 videos you have to see this week" articles too, which link to one of their other sites.

It's clever on their part because I'm sure it works, but I can't help but wonder if it bothers readers enough for them to go find another source for gaming news. This wasn't the reason I stopped reading Kotaku, though; personality was.

  • I agree with you so much about the particular sight in question, I do enjoy reading the gaming news on it, but not about an insanely weak link tied to videogames about Japan, such as "this dude was once an unlockable character in a game once".

  • Oh my God, that weird maniacal laugh just about killed me.

  • @GoldenNocturne "Jesters of the Moon" from the Final Fantasy IX soundtrack.

  • Jim pwnes all.

  • All gamers should see this web series

  • oi jim mate.....yeh your cool...that is all

  • Jim I love you.

  • I feel that the only reason Pete Postlethwaite is getting this much of a mention is because of Inception, had he not been in that movie whether the role was significant or not (I havent seen it so I dont know the role) but had he not been in it I guarantee you most people wouldnt even be mentioning him.

  • @fallenrosepetal You're forgetting The Usual Suspects too...that was popular...>_>

  • 1:36-1:54, easily the best 21 seconds of the video

I love Jim's Distinguished American Retard Voice

  • Absolutely awesome as usual. Keep up the great work Jimbo!

  • Does anyone know what website Jim is referring to?

  • The irony is that this will probably be the most viewed Jimquisition, because of Pete Postlethwaite and Barack Obama are in the title.

  • Jim this show is great. Keep it up Sterling

  • What articles that discuss what a subject means to gamers means to gamers.

  • The mic really got it this time.

  • Cheap easy clicks? Is that similar to giving a high profile game a 4 out of 10 just to get page views?

  • @Vash3OO1 Yes it is. We haven't seen anybody do that though. Please let us know if you can find (and prove) that somebody intended to do that!

  • @Vash3OO1 Destructoid doesn't give high profile games 4 out of 10 just for page views. Have you not noticed their grading scale is different than other sites?

Games such as FFXIII and AC2 got 4 out of 10 from Jim because he absolutely didn't like the games and gave them a 4.

...Except a 4 on Destructoid means just slightly below average.

You know, unlike every other site that rates a game 8 out of 10, and anything below that they think is shit.

  • @Vash3OO1 You're hilarious. The whole internet doesn't have the same opinion. Small minded or what.

  • Pure win

  • I loved Pete! :(

  • @lewisp90 Ipads are used to play games, that's what

  • @lewisp90

    ipad has games.. derp

  • @lewisp90 You know it does play games... In fact that is what apple released it for. Try and find a better example

  • @Arbitor1 yep thats cool except the article was about an iPad 2 case like I said originally do iPad cases play games? Is it a good enough example for you now? I'm sure I can find another if you want

  • @lewisp90 If you read the article, it wasn't about the case itself. It was about what the ipad 2 could look like from what the case looks like.

  • @eng2k7 i've read the article thanks and its mainly about the case, also how to the parts about the iPad 2's shape relate to gaming? Its practically a repost of the original Engadget article and is exactly what Jim is complaining about, is destructoid a tech blog now? Its as relevant to gaming as the Lost Finale.

  • @lewisp90 well it comes down to opinions and yours is completely wrong, so there.

  • @lewisp90 Company makes a case that fits a new PSP that's slightly different. Would you suddenly be saying that's not about gaming because it's about a case even though that case is for a gaming device?

  • @lewisp90 I was going to go into the whole since it plays games it is considered gaming news thing but it seems dtoid already made a comment. Instead I will say have a lovely day and next time don't criticize when you don't have all the facts.

  • @lewisp90 The iOS is a very strong gaming platform and the iPad is the machine of choice for many iOS gamers. The iPad 2 case gave us a clue as to what an upcoming mobile gaming device would look like. It's pretty obvious, really.

  • @DTOID @Arbitor1 ok a post about an iPad 2 case may just about be called gaming news by some people even though it isn't but a news post about Reese's minis has nothing whatsoever to do with games.

  • @DTOID Then where do you put the line between what is video game related and what is not?

  • @DTOID How can Barack Obama be black when he was squirted out of a white pussy?

  • This reminds me, I need to write a blog about what my most recent bowel movement means to gamers.

  • I was with you right up until you did the Fetal Alcohol Frederick routine with the funny hat in front of a keyboard. Then you went from an interesting dude with a good point to, well, just kind of a dick. Sorry, calls 'em likes I sees 'em.

  • @TrueTempleDog Yeah that is Jim Sterling, a right old cunt with a heart of gold

  • Didn't Pete, sorry, Mr. Postlethwaite (man, that name is a lisper's nightmare) do any vidyagame voice over work? Hang on, I'll hop on over to the IMDB, back in a sec.

    (a sec. passes)

Nerp, don't look like it. So I'm with Jim, if yer gonna throw yer condolences around, do it in a general news post. Dude was never in a game, prolly' never played 'em, so it's just jumping on the hearse.

  • Epic trolling

  • woah, real rage at the end there, go jim!

  • and this is why kotaku can suck a dick

  • Comment removed

  • I know GameJournos is on hiatus, but you don't have to fill in Jim ;D.

  • Mr Jim Sterling has the same monitor as me :')

  • what does this have to do with video games

  • What does bollocks mean?

  • @tehblckdeth generally it means something is bad. Also it means testicles. You can however say something is "the dog's bollocks" which means something is very good.

  • Comment removed

  • @tehblckdeth oh I see...i just got to that bit. "This sort of bollocks" = "this sort of stuff" sort of catch-all term for stuff, crap, junk, etc.

  • @tehblckdeth basically it means "bullshit" in a more polite way

  • @tehblckdeth It's fancy british talk for balls

  • Sterling RAGE. I enjoyed this.

  • JOURNALISM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111111111111111111

  • i love this guy :')

  • A tattoo on someone's anus would be quite small and unremarkable unless it was done by some sort of science team involved with an experimental tattoo laser.

  • What's REALLY offensive is the way you do those impersonations that imply that those who disagree with you are mentally ill man-babies. Ever heard of respecting other people's opinions? I know it's supposed to be funny, and for most people it probably is, but that doesn't mean it's okay.

  • @UncleBibby47 You need to respect my OPINION that those who disagree with me are mentally ill man-babies.

  • so was that Jim´s retarded brother right?

  • At 1:40, you suddenly dressed like my brother.

  • I agree with jim on this, but wasn't the half life logo in lost season one (im not 100 percent it may have just looked like it, i only saw the first few lost's)

  • @Theicemonkeyjr A lambda was, yes. But it's just a letter of the Greek alphabet; Half-Life's use of it is irrelevant unless somebody starts talking about Black Mesa or something.

  • @ARyttz Ah i didnt know it was a letter of the greek alphabet :)

  • Can you really write the Alien Ant Farm story? I think that would be funny

  • ... Kotaku? Is that you?

  • woah for once i actually am first.... Great job jim, love your show.
