That's what creates the difference between Atheism and Theism. Atheists never make an argument based on what they believe in, they base it on what they KNOW. They use facts to prove what our world really is, unlike Theists who prefers theories in which they just LIKED to believe in.

Unlike biblical arguments, Science only states something to be a fact when they are ABSOLUTELY sure of it. Big bang and evolution are called theories because they can't be 100% proven, but the reason why they even exist is because there is millions of evidence that supports it.
Give me one physical evidence on "why Christ will return" and I will gladly give you at least 30 books on evidence of Evolution :)

@zugrath16 Atheism doesn't tell 'the truth', it doesn't make any absolute claims. All atheism is is the rejection of any supernatural gods. It is a negative position, not a positive one. I'm an atheist myself, but I do know that there is a a VERY VERY VERY small chance a god exists. Just thought I'd clear up a common misconception :).
@iknorock23 True, Atheism itself is not an "answer", but most atheists choose to not believe in god because of that they have seen he more logical theories of science. Every atheist i know believe in the theory of evolution, the big bang, etc. so if you were to define atheism by their believers there are alot of "truths" attached to it :). but still, you are right.
And just to add - I have read the bible. Nowhere in it does it motivate using logic/common sense on why it is telling the truth. Sure, it teaches alot of moral lessons, but when it's saying that "we were all created by a being in the sky about 6,000 years ago" and "Christianity is the only true religion" it goes too far. I am saddened by the incompetence of the people in this world...

I then look for scientific validation to my belief in it, & those things are there - at least to my satisfaction - ie. historical, archaeological, literary support etc. etc. As to God being neatly examined via the Western model of Science, that is not going to be so simple.A lot of the data can support intelligent design -that supernatural creation should not be excluded from the realm of possibility.

Using scripture as support for a belief is a logical fallacy known as begging the question. And I'm not concerned about life after death, because there is no evidence to suggest that there is life after death, so why should I believe in it? @Jehu30 Good question. I came to Israel as a theist interested in learning more about God. What I found instead were conflicting theologies, all claiming theirs was the truth, with no evidence to back it up. So I left Israel with a much better understanding of religion's true purpose and newfound atheism. Don't get me wrong, I love Israel and I've been back plenty of times, after all 51% of Israelis are secular compared to America's 12%.

The incident left him brain-damaged, and we never found out whether he'd been to Heaven because he'd lost the ability to speak.. I am sorry bit I am going to have to agree with cheese fish. The trama from the impact would cause a temporary whiteout, the number of times I've had the same thing happen getting knocked unconcious doing something stupid as a kid. The humming sound occured as well. Of course this by no means means heaven does not exist. Part of faith is believing what you have no evidence for. This man never experienced heaven because he was never fully dead.

Unlike biblical arguments, Science only states something to be a fact when they are ABSOLUTELY sure of it. Big bang and evolution are called theories because they can't be 100% proven, but the reason why they even exist is because there is millions of evidence that supports it.
Give me one physical evidence on "why Christ will return" and I will gladly give you at least 30 books on evidence of Evolution :)

I then look for scientific validation to my belief in it, & those things are there - at least to my satisfaction - ie. historical, archaeological, literary support etc. etc. As to God being neatly examined via the Western model of Science, that is not going to be so simple.A lot of the data can support intelligent design -that supernatural creation should not be excluded from the realm of possibility.

And I'm not concerned about life after death, because there is no evidence to suggest that there is life after death, so why should I believe in it? @Jehu30 Good question. I came to Israel as a theist interested in learning more about God. What I found instead were conflicting theologies, all claiming theirs was the truth, with no evidence to back it up. So I left Israel with a much better understanding of religion's true purpose and newfound atheism. Don't get me wrong, I love Israel and I've been back plenty of times, after all 51% of Israelis are secular compared to America's 12%.

Have you ever thought of that the reason why one of you believe in Allah and the other in Christ is because you happened to be brought up in a society that had the same believes and influenced you? Think about it! If alleverrr was brought up in a christian family you would be 100% sure that Christ is real, and if Skyline and fleppie were brought up in the middle east you would believe in Allah.
No god is more real than the other.

It is written that we will get heavenly bodies & I believe that with all my mind, body & soul. Jehovah Witness is a false prophet so I'll pray for you! Jesus loves you more than you can ever imagine in the physical. If you believe that Jesus lives in heaven then why not pray to him for guidance?

My mother described heaven as my brother and I stood by her hospital bedside. With both arms lifted up and heart monitor flat lining, the nurse was stunted. I'll never forget that experience...the joy on her face, the words that were spoken, and the Power of God and Love that filled the room. The greatest words she spoke that day were also the most simple, "Jesus Loves You". Thank you momma...I'll see you in heaven.

How dumb, how completely scientificly ignorant do you have to be to not know that it's 100% impossible to be dead for ninety minutes(or even 15 minutes) in a car in normal temperature with no freezing water or ice, and then be brought back to life? Even if it had just been 10 or 15 minutes, he'd be a complete "vegetable" today! But I'm sure the "700 club" makes a lot of cash on the story..: (

@winterstellar By the way, this happened to a christian friend of mine many years ago: He was found after he stopped breathing, and when the paramedics managed to save his life his brain had been without oxygen for many minutes. The incident left him brain-damaged, and we never found out whether he'd been to Heaven because he'd lost the ability to speak.. Maybe God told him: "Hey,I know you're a christian and everything but you can't stay here.In fact we'll send you back brain-damaged.. for fun"

I am sorry bit I am going to have to agree with cheese fish. The trama from the impact would cause a temporary whiteout, the number of times I've had the same thing happen getting knocked unconcious doing something stupid as a kid. The humming sound occured as well. Of course this by no means means heaven does not exist. Part of faith is believing what you have no evidence for. This man never experienced heaven because he was never fully dead.
