No worries. Even tho it's been replaced, the fight we had to go through was unbelievable and still get my back up!!!! I can't believe that you can spend that much on a car and be ignored the very next day!!!

Do your homework, find out comman faults, rectify if can- if not get independent report- and front dealer!!!!!

They have a warranty rep visit once a month and he decides on a case by case basis who's car gets repaired. And the reps are the biggest tightasses and are pushed by management to knock back any "non urgent" cases. I heard this straight from a Ford Foreman who did 25 years there...

In a case such as a warranty claim provided the customer has fulfilled his responsibilities under the warranty, he should maintain pressure until the provider plays ball. In the end they are required to honour the warranty.

Hey my mate has a bf xr6 turbo with six speed manual. He does not have clatter noise but at times it crunches gears even with the clutch fully depressedusally. this usally happens from 3 to 4th or going into 5th. You should take car back it not in good shape.
Big brother got his NEW new car today!!! After a lot of jackassing around and umming and ahhing Ford finally decided that it is NOT normal!!!! Maybe youtube emarrassed them a little. Word of warning tho...... they ARE planning on repairing the car and selling it..... so if ur in the market for a new XR6... stay WELL away from Mackay and any 06 plated neo blue ones! tell your brother not to listen to that shit, its obviously something wrong with the box, its a clanking noise, its like a gear not aligned and its hitting the case, which after a while will go BOOM! either that or a bearing wasnt put in it when new. what ever it is it can be fixed! thats not normal!!!!
i got an 06' BA XR6T and i can tell u mate that i have never heard that niose when idiling .. mayb take it in to a mechanic and tell em to check ur alternator ... as for the wining maybe allignment???
but get an RAA report done on it and then bring it back!!!!!

Take it to a diffrent fords dealer and get them to check it out, If they tell u its normal get them to start a diffrent XR6 and see what it sounds like, never should it sound like that...?

its only a gear box, there is no need to be carefull of buying that car if its repaired!
lots of people run 400+rwkw through them gear boxes without problems, they are tough!
but like just about every thing made (tv's, phones, ipods,) there will be 1 faulty product now and then...
you just got a faulty part in your car, its replaced now and i bet you wont have any problems with the car for atleast 15 years!
