I don't know why people are slamming this interview. They weren't interrupting him that much (Mel interrupted, too), they weren't really trying to make jokes, they were praising his films, and Mel seemed disoriented (and I mean old man disoriented) anyway.

It just seemed awkward because these usually politically-oriented pundits are on another subject.

Cenk and co. use "Young Turks" in a metaphorical sense, that of revolutionaries intentionally challenging the status quo. I don't think they in any way peddle in genocide apologetics.
