josh was awesome he just couldn't handle the pressure of touring and recording any more and was getting anxiety attacks and was doing drugs it sucks what happened but I have to say Chris is a incredible addition to the band I mean he doesn't have that groove that josh brought to there songs but he is a precision machine and he brings a more heavy feel to them which plays well with there more recent stuff and it shines live

Josh had the awesome groove behind the kit and always did something different on all the songs live. His energy was amazing and he did a lot of technical stuff then Chris. Sure, Coheed made better music when they were with Josh but the drumming was always the weakest part of the band. Take IKSOSE:3, the only song he really excelled on was The Crowing.

@SolidarityIX Chris is a lot more technical on the drums while Josh was more natural on it. I just feel like you can't say Chris is better then Josh or vice versa. Btw Josh had a lot of technical stuff on all albums. Listen to Everything Evil, Junesong Provision, Neverender and Godsend. They were pretty technical for startin out. IKSOSE3 didnt hav technical but made it up in Good Apollo album and he wasnt the weakest dude, none of them were u cant say that about coheed

No doubt...but he doesnt have the soul that josh had...i saw a interview with josh's band (Terrible Things) and then the singer makes a comment "we all left our bands at there prime, and we all thought it seemed like a good idea, and we were the only ones" and josh looked down, and i honestly wanted to cry. He shouldve rocked out the neverender, it just wouldve been appropriate... Chris has so much talent, but josh is just...hes got a place in all our hearts.

I just honestly don't feel, from the album and live songs I heard, Chris doesn't fit in. He's amazing and I do love his talent but Josh did some crazy shit behind the kit with coheed. Watch any old vids with him at the starland and the last supper vids. Chris in my opinion is only technical Josh is all instinct
