I had a very confusing ending ... I played as an elf and romanced with Alistair. In the end, I made Anora Queen and Alistair ... um ... well nothing I guess cuz he just wanted to be normal XP but it turns out Alistair became king anyway, visited me once in awhile to keep things going, and I lived o-o .. strange ..

Why do you think so? You can also make Anora rule and stay with Alistair with Grey Wardens (it's my favourite happy ending with him now). And you can also 'harden' Alistair after visiting Goldanna, make him rule and convince him not to dump you after the Landsmeet. It's much better then endings for male characters who had romance with Morrigan. ;)

Now, if you didn't harden Alistair after the Goldanna thing, and he ends up as king, then his romance with a, say, city elf is ended, right?

So if you want any little tidbit of romance later on, he can't become king, right?

So my question. When it comes to the ending where one of you is sacrificed (ignoring Morrigan's offer in this case), do they differ if he's king or not? Assuming fem pc romanced him?

If you had romance with Alistair an made him king and he dumped you he will die for you anyway if you take him with you to the archdemon. If he isn't king I heard he leaves the Grey Wardens because he can't bear the loss of his love.

1. Die.

2. Stay with Alistair within the Grey Wardens order (if you make Anora rule).

3. Stay with Alistair if he is king but not as queen of course, but as his mistress (if you hardened him after Goldanna)

4. Part with Alistair if you didn't harden him and made him a king.

5. lose Alistair if he kills the archdemon.

Man, I kind of wish I went this option for my female dalish elf. I missed my chance to "harden" Alastair because my chick is just TOO NICE and the big jerk dumps me once he becomes king.

But, instead, I made him do Morrigan and saved myself. I would have been totally more epic if I went this route.

My end was good.

Noble Male Dwarf Named Ödigún, in relationship with Leliana.

Zevran also also thought that he had a thing with Ödigun, but there weren't actually :/

Ödigún was friends with everyone but the dog he never got.

Sten returned with his sword, Alistair staied in Denerim along with Ogrhen and Wynne. Ödigun continued his path as warden with Zevran and Leliana as companions.

I like to believe that he married Leliana ;)

The problem with Alistair is in how you play him. At first glance he's this wonderful humorous guy. At second glance you see the chinks in the armor. He doesn't seem to fight much when asked to sleep with Morrigan nor does he have a problem having a threesome with you and Isabela. And if you harden him depending on whether you make him king or not he can become a real jerk and don't get me started on his immature reaction to saving Loghain. I liked Mass Effect's Kaidan better...stable and loyal.
