Nice bikes, pardner. Lots of my machines are in various stages of rebuild and riding condition. Maybe I'll post somethun' soon, too. I especially like the Mt. Bike converted to fixed gear. It looks so clean. Have you seen the OSO single speed bike? Your machine reminds me of it. It's pretty cool and anyone could make one just like it. Good video.
Nice Peugeot, I guess a mountain bike frame gets kinda light when you strip everything off of it. You should see the Peugeot PR-10 I built up, it lies somewhere in the 1972-1974 vintage.
you would THINK that bike would get light after you strip everything off of it. I mean it feels light to me, and I can keep up with guys on light bikes, but when I get on a different bike and start skidding it's just so much easier. It's like playing soccer and practicing with a ball 10 times too small. When you get a normal sized ball, you're a pro.
I know what you mean, both of my road bikes are old steel 10 speeds from the '70s, and I can just about keep up with cars on them. If I were to get on a modern bike that's lighter and has more speeds I probably wouldn't have to stand on the pedals as much.
I think it erased my first comment. Okay well your bikes are beautiful! I cannot believe you put those together yourself.. what a cool & crafty skill! Don't worry about making me walk out there :P my foot only hurts when I run but it's okay to walk on. I checked the bike again and it's a '77, and I think it said "SunTour" on it.. could that be it or is that the name of something else on the bike?
Suntour is actually the name of a company that manufactures derailleur and shifting systems, so not the name of our bike. Your Raleigh isn't much younger than mine, so I'd assume it was a Record like mine.
If you look toward the rear or the bike, the name of the model should be located on the bar called the chain stay :) I wouldn't suggest going to look at it anymore cause I don't want you to hurt your foot. Look at it when you get better! <3
Ooh. Cool, I learn something new every day! But then again you're a pretty good teacher too. I'll check it out sometime soon and stay off the foot for today. Thanks :) :)
Sounds like a plan to me little old lady. When you get a chance, let me know what's wrong with it so we might can get it back in working order :) Hope your foot feels better REAL soon.
Oh also, your observations of my bike have motivated me to fix it up for riding! I'm going to do it soon after I get back from vacation! Thanks for making a response video, too :)

I'm glad you liked them! Too bad my Raleigh got stolen like a week ago. If you see it anywhere let me know!
