The Clearaudio decks are more accurate, and neutral than the Rega units, the latter being more warm (but not what I'd consider accurate) imho. I guess it comes down to what type of sound you want.
How does this P7 turntable compare with the other turntables in your videos, I would be interested to know in particular your opinion on how the P7 compares tp the Gyrodec
I would like to hear a good vinyl transfer of this record player - plug the amp into the sound card input of computer and make a recording that way using Audacity software (free). I have lots of transfers of the P5, would like to hear the difference between that & the P7. See my channel, MarkPMus.
I have auditioned the P5 before i bought the P7 i think the biggest difference lies in the TT-PSU, it reveals more details and gives a deeper soundstage. Strongly recommended.
I think my next upgrade has to be speakers, but I will most definitely add the TT-PSU as and when funds allow. Would really love to hear the P7, so could you do an upload asap? I will be your best friend if you do LOL!
Well...exactly what I like in the P9 is its "simplicity" and almost "plug and play" design, with a fantastic performance and built.
In my opinion, it sounds better than the competitors at the same price level ....that´s why it is my choice....Of course, the Mitchell Orbe and Avid Volvere are also great decks..
I have also a Rega P7 with cherry sorrounding...it is a really great deck, playing as good as decks of other makers costing twice. In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful turntables around. I am now making an upgrade to the Rega P9.
The p9 is a fantastic deck but for that kind of money i might consider one of the exotic suspended decks such as the Michell orbe or the Avid volvere.
it's 2k & that's already ex-demonstration price. This might surprise some people but the cartridge used in this video cost nearly as much as the turntable.
not surprising at all. I quality turntable needs a quality cart. what cart are you using?? it looks like a Grado Statement or a Benz..... also, what's your phono stage?

It'll sound even better if you take the lid off the deck btw...

What video camera are you using to film this?

Some people cut of the little lifter handle on the headshell because they believe it resonates. I fear that's what may have happened here.

What about the rest of the system. What kind of speakers and amps are you using. Did you trade the P7 for the Clearaudio Champion?

real nice table.... but they couldn't put a finger lift on the end of the tonearm/

The tonearm is missing the little "hook handle" that my P3 has; pink vinyl ,nice.
