Evolution has nothing to do with apes raising people or organisms from another species.

It's acquiring more favorable traits which over time (over generations) develops into a new species that can't reproduce with the original species it came from. These favorable traits are only for the environment those species live in, not more favorable in terms of the whole world. Once that environment changes (loss of habitat, food, etc), those traits may not be favorable any longer.
