  • It’s awesome to see someone resisting the US led culture of Deceptiveness, Excessiveness, Pervasiveness...

  • when? 2 minutes 21 seconds ago

  • setting a good example. that's key.

  • If only people like this man succeeded in politics. Sadly only the rich, corrupt and/or stupid get far in that world.

  • A real human being and a real hero

  • Idol :O

  • 9gag, someone?

  • This is the Jap version of Ron Paul...

  • @superluminalthought dont use ethnic slurs

  • What a champ!

  • The only similarity it seemes is that their wives complain and moan just as much.

  • This is japan, Japanese people are just too humble and honest - they have a certain degree of honor that will probably never be achieved by the west.

  • CEO's in America and others countries, who do not understand the society like this man does, destroy the world. I'm happy at least one CEO is down to earth.

  • And to those who think company performance is linked to executive pay. Japan Airlines has gone from an annual loss of roughly 0.5 billion dollars when this was clip was made, to a profit of over 1 billion dollars today. That is a way better turn around since 2008 than any of its American competitors, many of which are still making losses, and those companies pay their CEOs 10 million dollars plus.

  • 9 people must have a 200 million dollar bonus!

  • +1 this. we need more CEOs like this in charge. ppl who actually make real sacrifices instead of abusing their positions and using it as an opportunity to line their pockets.

  • what an outstanding character! an example for the world whos lost its way

  • Real men don't have vast amounts of money, real men take control and sacrifice in the face of adversity.

  • LEGEND

  • Iberia pilots please note!

  • 1:34 epic successful man laugh.

  • he's awesome

  • What an incredible man

  • i bet he gets bigger portions in the cafeteria ;D

  • Why is corporate America so supportive of a high income gap? Then when we ask the CEO's to cut their salaries or for congress to increase their taxes we call it "Socialism" and completely avoid it.

  • 9 American CEOs saw this video.

  • Good Guy Nishimatsu-san.

  • Japan pride! sometimes I wish I live in japan.

  • dammit, steve jobs made 9 accounts before he died

  • It's called leadership, people. Hat's off and thumbs up to him.

  • Like a boss.

  • best part @ 1:33

  • That is an true human bien who feel an have understanding... I want to be like him one day... Someone should send dis to delta CEO or all the top airline who fight labor union to deny employee fair share..

  • 0:33 DAT LAUGH

  • amazing. think of a maggot, such as the CEO alan joyce of QANTAS who recently approved his own pay rise to $5 million while asking pilots and staff to resign due to the 'bad' business conditions. hypocrite!

  • isnt this kinda like communism?

  • @IvorTheE Communism ? Would you like to rethink that ?!

  • Comment removed

  • @benalbanach i would like to rethink about it but seeing as i have a lack in education on communism - the outcome would just be the same, but when i was told about it i imagined this sorta thing, guess from the tone i'm reading your reply in i was dead wrong?

  • @IvorTheE Not when its not state mandated. This guy wasn't forced to take a paycut by the Japanese Gov't

  • @shaocaholica it was literally a question, when i was taught about communism i always thought it was something like this, sorry for sounding idiotic

  • @IvorTheE The good kind I support, yes.

  • FUck the US! This guy FTW!!

  • if i have a company, i will hire him as CEO... what a leader!

  • Talk about a class act, Every CEO should watch this, Thank you sir,for showing the world, employees are not just numbers, They are actual people.

  • Only 6 Republicans watch this?

  • Just wow.

  • don't you think it is a real indictment of the Western world that this video was even made? it is time for a revolution.

  • 6 greedy ceoS disliked .. he's a good human

  • i would work for this man

  • That's it, I'm building my own Utopia underwater.

  • This is one of the reasons Japan has such low crime and drug rates. People are treated equally.

  • Americans raka disciprin...

  • I love this man. No homo.

  • JAL is broke and Japan has a different culture than the U.S. Its not so individualistic!

    YOU FAIL CNN

  • @Tr1ple So I suppose you think that cultures can not influence one another? "YOU FAIL"

  • @imaginedatyo well no I think cultures can influence other cultures... best example is the US "culture" destroying Germanies and Japans culture!

  • Meanwhile in the US... tax cuts for the rich

  • This would never happen in a multicultural society.

  • this is awesome a CEO that realizes that his company needs the money more then he does. American CEO's don't realize this and harm not only the company but the millions that work for it.

  • وشرايكم نبدله بالملحم هذا يصير رئيس الخطوط السعودية والملحم يقلب وجهه لطيران اليابان

    عشان يجيها تسونامي جوي !!!!

  • @Sheqardi lol .....والله لا ينتحر

  • Nishimatsu -san,

Respect you for your leadership !

  • Here, executives would just as soon throw employees under the bus just to ship jobs OVERSEAS for a little extra profit or "shareholder value", which is just an artificial bullshit term for "us looking like we're doing the things that'll increase profit so more people buy our stock, and we make EVEN MORE."

  • The stock market itself is based on companies SUCCESS, really. People buy stock in firms they think will stay successful or become EVEN MORE successful. And they dump stocks in less-successful ones. It's really little more than a Wall Street casino using artificial 'value' called shares. There's no ACTUAL wealth created; it's just moving money around, really.

  • Japan's economic growth and prosperity and austere executives PROVE that you don't have to be a jackass running the company who only cares about the bottom line to be successful. You CAN care about employees, treat them well, and not act like you're so much better than them.

  • Now that is a man I could follow. What good leadership values. I'm not against compensation for executives, just excessive compensation. Well played Japan...

  • gOOD EXAMPLE!

  • the 6 dislikes are CEOs that want to stay rich

  • I was on the fence about this guy until i heard the laugh at 1:33

  • 1:33

     Laugh

    Like a bosse

  • It's amazing and it's not all at the same time. I tip my hat to you sir. You, Haruka Nishimatsu, are a true gentleman.

  • @bsphil agree'd guy is doing what needs to be done to keep up great business budgeting and employee moral up at the same fucking time.

what a great concept for a business ceo to actually take on.

  • @alucardisdumb it's been shown that improving employee morale will cause an increase in sales and customer satisfaction.

  • This America is what happens in a secular, almost all non religious, society that cares for it's people and understands life.

  • @crazyCA12 What does religion have to do with it?

  • @Warewolf943 Religion constructs a way of thinking. One not based in reality and not worried with life here. One not dealing with reality and not dealing with the pressing issues of the day, preferring to waste away on fantasy's of infinite life. When a society realizes the pressing concerns of life to deal with the people, a society that cares about the way those people live and the quality of their life is when a society is free. Theocracy are opponents to freedom, or in our case pseudotheocy

  • @crazyCA12 Religion is a good thing and a bad thing - In equal measure. There's a lot of religious people who are amazingly tolerant towards the different races, genders and sexualities. There are rotten apples, though. (Westboro baptist, for example) Those seem like they exist only for the purpose of painting a bad picture of religion. Religion is a good thing for a lot of people to have - It's something that gives us hope that there's something to do after you die.

  • @Warewolf943 Name me one good thing that needs religion to happen? Note this cannot be an axiom of religious faith because that in intrinsic upon the belief it's-self and requires the supposed to be granted. (AKA. It gets you into heaven). It gives many hope, at the cost of life here on earth and quality for the rest of us, need I point at the GOP?

  • @crazyCA12 Arguing about religion is fruitless. We've been doing it since religion was invented. Religion is really just a choice - It's an opinion. I may like red cars (The red ones go faster), you may like blue. Not every religious person is a fanatic who goes to the funerals of people who die in service just to protest and call them queer.

I'm not really sure how religion is affecting you folks on separate ends of the pond, but here in Iceland, religion is well, laid back. It's an opinion.

  • @Warewolf943 Religious affiliation is an opinion, but it's affects are not. I assure to come to the US or study our current politics for one second and you will wish I was harsher. The reason I even brought it up is because you made an assertion that must be qualified.

  • @crazyCA12 I asked a question and I got a good answer, while my question probably went across as quite rude. Religion is practiced in a wildly different manner across the world, there's die-hards, there's people who only believe in a higher power, and so forth. I chose to believe in god because I wanted to. I have no problems with atheists or people who belong to a different religion. A lot of people, however, do not share my stance. This is probably what you mean, right?

  • Because of people like him... Japan will recover faster in their current tragedy.

    Japansese... such beautiful people.

  • This man reminds me of one of my maths teachers. Unlike the other teacher, he hangs out with us students during lunch time. He has such a great sense of humour and doesn't find it embarrassing to with students. He even shares stories with us and his childhood. This is what every teacher should be like, engaging and fun. He's an excellent teacher as well. And it so happens that my teacher looks like the Ceo a bit. but that guy in 1:19 is seriously scary.

  • I still can't get over that they changed their logo.

  • LEGEND ! Omae wa Tensai !

That's a helluva way to prove your true Worth as a human to society and your country.

I don't run any business yet, but I have been a leader in virtual reality - Internet on numerous occasions, keeping it Lawful Good is the way to success.

One might say the mythical Paladins, do exist and should rule as Kings or Presidents IMHO, to decrease corruption and increase the 'spiritual will' of others coming to Work everyday with a smile on your face.

  • so that you are No#1

  • 00:25 he's so cute hahaha

  • All my Respect to U

  • God bless Japan.

  • another reason why the rest of the world hates america

  • This is how every CEO should be. The amount of greed out there is astonishing and it's nice to finally see someone with some morals who actually believes in good corporate governance.

  • See?? the problem is not capitalism, the problem is humans.

  • @KodierungHerz I think we cannot say that the problem are the humans, indeed this CEO is a honorble man which dosen't take advantage of his position having a luxury life(at least in work hours, has we can see here) but, the reality is that a human being by itself can't stand firm against whole companys, there is much more persons that would like to make their jobs to a bigger cause, cus inside they are "Good Humans" unfortunately that is often a fight which involves a 'human' against the humanity

  • @KodierungHerz your point? kill all humans!

  • How is this one of the world's top 10 international airlines if they are doing this bad???

  • SPONGY BOBBLE

  • Such a gentle heart. Bless him.

  • The Japs rock!

  • simple formula - eliminate greed = success

  • American CEO's need to learn some compassion like this man.

  • OMG a pig in a suit at 1:18!!!

  • @buchan23 lmao

  • This is an example of a level 5 leader. Someone who is humble yet has power and puts the company's interest ahead of his own.

  • CASH RULES EVERYTHING AROUND ME! GET THE MONEY

    CREAM GET THE MONEY

    DOLLA DOLLA BILL Y'ALL

  • A TRUE LEADER leads by example, shares the burden and hardship of his fellow employees. American CEO's should be asked to do the same, and if they refuse, remove them. US CEO's and politicians always expect the little man to suffer while they enjoy the perks of our labor

  • Americans are SO money hungry!

  • Americans are money hungry. That's all that motivates them.

  • Makes me want to get millions of people together and take to the streets till our ceo's do the same here in america!! Theyare the real reason we are hurting!! I would love to take all their money away and make them live just like we do!! fucking bastards need to all die for what they have done to this country and still doing!!

  • This is why Asia will be ahead of us. They have the most intense discipline and principles

  • this changed my mind

  • Those greedy american bastards can learn a thing or two from this man

  • @TheMitchellWhite Please say those greedy american CEO bastards next time... cause most of us are just as poor as the next guy over her in america! I do wish people would demand our ceo's do the same though!!

  • Bad time management. Wasting valuable time with queues and waiting for busses. I would be worried if I was a shareholder that his decision making may also be flawed.

  • Please send 100 CEO:s like him to Finland.. we really need leaders with some backbone.

  • love such high standard work ethics and self confidence !! wish we have the same in my country!! :(

  • Corporate CEO sharing in our pain. I'm glad a CEO can finally empathize with what it's like to come home every single day to a woman shouting "It's all your fault!"

  • Over here, CEO's might make millions of money but they don't have anybody respect! They only care for themselves while letting their employees fend for themselves.

  • A more equal society is a better society

  • CEO: Cost-Efficient Officer :)

  • LIKE A BOSS

  • This is exactly the kind of behaviour I expect from CEOs. This is one of the attributes that makes a freat CEO.

  • @TheFlojj

i giggled like a little girl when i heard that....not sure why

  • we need more people like this. this guy likes his job. i wish i culd find some job as nice as this.

  • @enriquehgo7

go spam yer mother... cock sucker

  • @allangalesco hahaha I'm sorry :D

  • @enriquehgo7

its kinda funny how we feel bad when we say bad things to someone and this one just say SORRY....

now, IM SORRY man.. rs my apologies

  • @allangalesco Don't worry =) Nobody likes spammers, not even me haha

  • WHAT A BOSS

  • This is the best thing I've ever seen. I'm so tired of seeing CEO's cut pay on the lowest income bracket in the company while they, and their board members, keep making millions of dollars themselves.

  • Such a roll model.

  • [ 1:18 ] It's the "Man-bear pig"!!!

  • He and Michael Scott are the two best bosses that ever lived

  • Ali G would say: "restecp", I can only say the same.

  • Make your workers happy, and your company is bound to be more profitable.

  • America is doomed.

  • this makes me feel a lot better about humanity.

  • It takes alot to do what he is doing, especially cutting his own salary and benefits even though he has the weight of responsibility of the entire company on his shoulders.

  • Looks like a high expectations asian father to me.

  • lol, He was like "hahaha'ha`"

  • Wow, why couldn't more people start thinking with such respect and responsiblity.

  • 4 people missed the like button

  • @JackieOnFire

thanks for reminding me, *clicks like* :)

  • "$200,000,000?

    lol"

    thats a badass right there

  • This guys' a boss.

  • i wish there were more people like this

  • 1:33

    THAT LAUGH IS FUCKING BOSS.

  • Ooo Kyung Lah! Hey what are you doin' later baby?

  • This isn't that unusual for for the Japanese. The best description I have heard for it is "enlightened capitalism." Basically, being a dick to your employees and customers isn't standard practice like it is here in America. Tax is included in the displayed price, utilities are priced competitively (it costs less to rent a phone in Japan than it does on contract over here), customer service is second to none, ect...

The only reason why we don't have this over here is that we don't except it.

  • PIG MAN! 1:17

  • @key421 By far the most observant comment here.

  • 4 American CEO's did not like this video.

  • @gojirra5 STOP MAKING FUCKING RETARDED COMMENTS LIKE THIS!

  • @gojirra5 only 4?

  • @opticbit 6 now.

  • @gojirra5 now they're six

  • "We in Japan learned during the bubble economy that business, who pursue money first, fail."

That's a very poignant quote, given what's happened in this past recession here in the US.

  • Leadership by example.

  • I think he is undercover samurai. Such honour.

  • Fuck steve balmer

  • good for this man...he should be a model for other people..too bad money corrupts

  • nice job high five dude

  • wow
