This trac holds a special place in my life for after my soulmate died within 6 months I would have joined her if not for my friend who knew how much I loved the music of YES in icu they normally do not allow cd players an headphones but they decided I would not recover that night so they allowed it My friend set the player to repeat and played continuous YES over and over Yes played and at 8am I opened my eyes I reached over to touch the arm of a nurse and quietly spoke dont let me die please..

@stolendolin Yes, this song has a powerful emotive component, easily in league with CTTE and Awaken. The crescendo is downright healing. So I can understand how it brought you back. Peace to you and sympathies for your loss. And thank you for sharing that very personal story. Be assured if anyone tries to flame it, I will delete and block them. :-)
@IYAMNI Bless you and thank you I can tell you how much it means to me reading your reply and understanding that my life today is simply a miracle and I owe it to my friend and more than anything else YES...............
I would have liked to have seen Wakeman on keyboards playing this material in place of Tony Kaye with Trevor, Jon, Alan, and Chris. That would have been pretty cool, but sadly it's never gonna happen.
I had two tickets for this Tour/Concert for myself and ex-wife to see... but they canceled at the last moment! I wanted to see Trevor and Chris live, for the first time as, I was present for the ABWH concert, which was amazing.
No way is this the best Yes song, Awaken, Close To The Edge, Parallels, Wondrous Stories, Owner Of A Lonely Heart are better to name a few. This is ok but it does not have the cohesive feel and strength of melody that the true classics have. Yes's last great album was GFTO after there has been the odd few tracks on most releases but Talk was very average, Rabin admitted that he was on his own for most of it, not a group effort as the line up was contrived after the Union tour.
This is maybe their best song.....right up there with GENESIS (Supper's Ready)Very Melodic and lengthy and, although it's long, one would never know it. Listen and enjoy. I hope I have a chance to see it played live before they retire, but, sadly, I doubt they will include it in a set list after their 1994 tour. I hope Jon gets better and is able to Reschedule their 40th Anniversary tour Next Year.
This is one of my favorite performances of this song, they were really on that night, especially Trevor

Thumbs up if you had to scroll off-screen because the intro was giving you seizures. It would have been so cool to be there.

close your eyes and you don't even know the genius line-up is missing. it is the spiritual progression you'd expect 70's Yes to take into the 90's =)

no matter how great the classic early albums were (Tales, Edge, Relayer)
Talk is a real stand out and gem in the Yes library. I was thrilled to see them release such a great and inspirational album at that time.

Best Yes song. I knew that track recently. Hard to pick "one best" Yes song cause everything made by this wonderful band is almost perfect.
