  • thank you from Holland for making this video.. Thank you!

  • That's a very well done video!

  • @Alienliquid

I spent weeks in every corner of the web - YouTube, NASA, fan-sites - private collections etc. I actually have lots and lots of great and uncommon footage that I just can't squeeze into these 3 minute vids. I plan on doing at least one more Shuttle video to show some of the best orbit footage I have ever seen. Thanks for the great question!

  • If you like my Discovery tribute you might also like my new vid - it's a high volume 'real-audio' Shuttle launch. There is no music, just the experience of seeing/hearing one of these monsters roar off the pad. You'll need a lot of speaker system to get the effect though.

  • John Williams is the man

  • @Jcsthird

John Williams has inspired more film-makers, authors, dreamers, poets, patriots and everyday people than he will ever know. My hat is off to you Mr. Williams - wherever you are...

  • @indiegun He's in Los Angeles back from Boston finishing The Adventures of Tintin for its December release.

  • Thanks Charlie! I'll drop you a line when my new Shuttle vid is done. You'll need a really loud sound system with a good sub though to get the effect.

  • this is brilliant :)

  • Awesome! 5 out of 5 stars for this video. You definitely beat me with this. I've tried doing this sort of stuff with videos. But, it's hard. Hope you know what I mean by this.

  • @GreshamUnlimited

Thanks Daniel. I'm currently working on a new Shuttle vid that will showcase a high quality 'extreme' audio track of the launch sequence (real-sounds only - no music). Check back soon - it should be up in a week or so!

  • Very well done video! Clear editing, enjoyed watching it thanks for sharing!

  • @tjomka2000

Thanks. I'm glad you liked it. Sorry your comment was marked temporarily as spam. I'm not sure why YouTube does that. I'm enjoying your channel. Your Epcot 'Test Track' vid brings back great memories!

  • @indiegun Thanks

  • Congratulations Indiegun for this passion that unites us! I hope one day to return to Cape Canaveral to relive these great emotions. greetings from Italy

  • @ildena

thanks ildena! And thank you for Italy's many great accomplishments in the space program as well. It was your own 'Alenia Spazio' who built the marvelous Cupola 360 degree window observatory that boast the best views of Earth that can be seen from the International Space Station. Viva l'Italia!

  • What an enjoyable and emotive film - well done!

  • @LimehouseDan01

Thanks Dan. It's always great to hear from the U.K. You should check out your fellow countryman's channel 'george7378'. He is a brilliant young man that is a credit to your nation's future.

  • You gotta love that amazing machine.. Farewell Discovery, you did an awesome job for mankind!!!

  • Awesome!

  • Beautiful - after seeing the bright light of Discovery from my own garden just a few days ago, I think this was a fitting tribute.

  • @george7378

Thanks George. I'm glad you got to see her with your own eyes on her last mission.

I emailed Story Musgrave a link to this vid on a lark and he replied almost right away with one word 'beautiful'... That really made me proud.

  • Thank you very much for making this tribute, you did a fantastic job with it. It’s sad to see the shuttle program come to an end, but it’s good to know that Discovery has finally accomplished more than a generations worth of work flawlessly. I don’t know where NASA would be today without that shuttle. Goodbye Discovery, you may be gone but you will not be forgotten.

  • @zoecallisto

thanks you zoe for the kind words. It was a great pleasure and indeed an honor to pay my humble tribute to such a fine specimen of scientific achievement. Discovery in particular seems to invoke a love and respect not quite equaled by the other magnificent Shuttles. I think it has to do with all of her 'firsts' in spaceflight coupled with her record breaking achievements and the fact that she lovingly was first to fly after the Challenger disaster and then the loss of Columbia.

  • great work man... its a wonderful tribute to a brilliant and inspiring spaceship. today is a sad day, an era is ended. goodbye Discovery, i'll miss you. hugs from Brazil.

  • @Swummer

thanks Swummer - my best wishes to Brazil...

  • Great tribute video,

I was lucky enough to witness Discovery's last launch live from titusville.

Thank you Nasa for the experience, Thumbs up from Holland

  • @alje87

thanks so much... America's space program is without a doubt the one of the best things we've ever done as a nation and, dare I say it as the human collective. So many countries have toiled with us in glorious achievement. It is a shining example of what we can achieve when we all work together. A rather rare thing in these dark, uncertain and politically divided times.

  • I love Discovery Space Shuttle it sounds friendly than other space shuttles :D Thanks for the video:D

  • @Pritttonit

You are very welcome... Discovery is my favorite Shuttle as well.

  • Bravo! Well done!

  • @stimmons2010

Thank you buddy. Very much obliged!

  • What will happen now that Nasa is over? :(
