Looking back on this now, I realize that there were two types of horror to this. The "obvious" horror, that is, that very idea behind this episode in and of itself, and the "subtle" horror, the fact that the sister did so much to save her brother, yet get rejected in the end, signifying the divide between them. The human and non-human.

Huh, this show was very layered for a "kids" show. Ah the 90s, a time where TV producers took the younger generation seriously ...

The aliens in this episode are so corny and fake, but back in the day, we didn't care. This show was the shit, along with pretty much every show on nickelodeon. All that, Keenan and kel, goosebumps, etc. You just don't see shows like that anymore. Such a pity.
