  • what kinda key are they? do they fit VW touaregs info ASAP

  • what does the back of the unit look like? what type of connectors are on it, and what do they look like?

  • I like a proper factory sound system so I don't need to install an aftermarket one. I grew up in the days where music was everywhere. I'll probably wont listen much to music however. When I do it will mostly be Alternative, R&B, POP, Christmas and Gospel music. News and current affairs is my thing now.

  • clearly only need two key thingys! dumbassss

  • @tanbanans not true because otherwise the locking clips wont disengage.

  • @tanbanans Lol he unlocked all 4 locks with the keys, then only used 2 to pull. You still need 4.......otherwise you'll have 2 stuck keys in your dash and you'll look like some kind of car thief for a while

  • It took 1 hour for me to get it to release. I finally had to use a putty knife to assist. If your is like mine, there's probably a lot of coffee holding the tabs in place.

  • does this apply for VW polo's?

  • its not called a radio unit its called a head unit

  • I keep reading iPod. I have a stock radio and I was wondering if anyone knows if there's such a thing to hook up my iPod. I don't want to change the stereo

  • @rzorNvme I'm asking the exact same thing... I see on the vid that it's possible but how..?

  • @rzorNvme yes there is and it is called a Volkswagen aux cable 3.5mm that you plug into the back, they sell it on ebay for around 10 bucks and it really good quality as long as you keep it out of the sun for long periods of time

  • @rzorNvme For my VW, I just have a tape that has a wire you can hook your iPod in. It was about 40 dollars though.

  • thanks for the vid!

what is the adaptor you have for the ipod cable? where can i purchase it?

  • "and the radio simply comes out" no, it doesn't. that's why i'm looking up youtube videos. thanks for nothing.

  • if u change the radio all together . is there going to be a problem with the car working properly . being that i wouldnt want to use the stock radio anymore

    ??????

  • the radio code is on the owners manual.

  • I did mine with some thin metal nail filers ;)

  • thank you

  • i dont have those keys, what else can you use??

  • what are the keys called.? like a specific name for them? or what do i ask for when i go into a store?

  • how can u unblock a radio or find the code for it

  • @vipstuner your pretty much fucked, you need the code to unlock it......contact previous owner or never have radio!

  • @vipstuner have a vw dealership run a scan tool and they could find the code...thats my best guess

  • You can get these keys at wal-mart for 5 bucks. Don't waste your money on a website.

  • @manegement69 where in wal-mart, their (wal-mart) site doesn't show that they have the vw key or any key that even looks remotely similar.

  • @3vilMini0n its right near the car audio section and in the area where walmart sells installation kits for aftermarket stereos, i bought 2 removal kits because having 4 keys makes this easier, you also get the ones for ford stock stereos which i have...

  • @manegement69 I bought mine from Wal-Mart. They're shit. I put them into the slots, and they just slide in all the way. They don't click and lock into place. I'm fucking pissed.

  • @manegement69 I stopped by walmart today to get some keys to pull my radio out, and the only kits they had were for $11 and only came with two keys... So yeah theyre like $5.50... Each =/

  • @MrCocta how do you make the keys

  • THX

  • na ja

  • Hey man, where did you get the keys from?

  • @yourdeathis0wn3d you can buy them on ebay ! 2 keys for 3 pounds or something like that

  • or Metal collar stays that are nipped to grab the radio

  • i have a question, i got a 1 piece console with the heater and stuff all connected to it

so i can remove the radio,

but i want to place a aftermarket radio somewhere, can i just run a new cable from the battery and connect the output to my amps and use that as a seperate radio?

  • now I know hot to still one faster !! ja

  • @transttorner you mean.... steal

  • @transttorner lol

  • @transttorner u should start by learning how to spell!

  • @transttorner do us a favor and steal a 3rd grade english text book.

  • @brianpfeifer BRV ALLOW TAKING DA PISS,ATLEAST HE MADE A VIDEO

  • como puedo conectar el ipod a esta radio?

  • I wanted to know that man. Just a question: where did you get the keys?. Thanks.

  • So I have this same radio. I wanted to replace it... is that system 2 din or 1 din?

  • one din

  • Is 2 din but if you look it backwards the radio itself is 1 din, the rest is just for using the whole space. Anyway there are 1 din original radios but you will need the cap if you want to cover the rest of the hole.

  • Thanks, it's all I needed to know

  • how did you connect that ipod ?

  • what if one of the keys will not click? i cannot get the top left one to "stick," its almost as if it is stripped

  • Thanks man!

  • Thank you!! Great instructions and so much better than having to purchase a manual. Thanks!

  • a radio Alpine is smaller that your unit radio; can i put it into?? what with this space unit?

  • Awesome tutorial video!

  • where can you buy the key kit

  • Ebay, look for vw radio removal tool, it's cost just one dollar

  • cool

  • autodvdgps, com have The most intelligent item and the price is much cheaper.
