Here's a question for you Evolution believers. Please explain how different languages and races happened. The Bible claims God did this to present a temple to heaven. So tell me smart guys. Where did race and language come from. Do you know why there were servants in Christs day? Who were their masters. The lighter skinned over the darker skinned? Was that how it started. Does anyone know. How did apes learn to play Rock in Roll? You have no answers for these things. I've already looked..GOD!!!
What's funny is we know Jesus was real/ Unless you're saying the disciples were liars. Jesus said he was the Son of God. We know he rose from the dead. Unless we've decided they lied about that. TheAtheistexsperience-quotes Jesus often. I read where an ex-Atheist said Atheist's just chose to live sinful lives. Therefore denying God's is real -leaves them free to live a life of Sin. For God Hates a liar
@DocKro23 He that is devoid of wisdom despisth his neighbor-But a man of understanding holds his tongue. The integrity of the upright shall guide them but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy himself.
God forbids that I should justify you. My lips shall not speak wickedness. I will destroy all the wicked in the land. In those days men shall seek death and not find it. They shall desire to die and death will flee from them...Good luck to you
@Rickenbacker53 We know that Spider-man is real because they mentioned something he did in a copy of The Fantastic Four. And you can't call the Fantastic Four liars after they saved the world from Galactus, can you?
@CalvinOrosaa That is why every actual atheist is agnostic, if a so called atheist states with conviction that a "god" does not exist then they are just anti-theist or anti-god i guess.
Usually people that become atheist after a life of indoctrination tend to say that a "god" definitely does not exist, probably as a form of rebellion but no doubt they will keep learning and realize that at this point in time nobody can justifiably say a "god" exists or does not exist.
@LogicalStatements3 That's because God is Spiritual-There are several different recordings of Jesus.People don't deny Jesus lived. He raised the dead-Walked on water-fed a multitude of people. We still don't believe. So I guess God knew that. Because it's spoken to in the Bible with the word elect. Those that have chosen to by faith believe. There never will be absolute evidence like what is demanded by Atheists. Not until it's to late will you know.Yet we believe we'll get to work everyday ETC""""
Atheists don't ask for absolute evidence, we ask for a certifiable, empirical evidence that can back up your claims of god's existence.
But instead of evidence, you give repeated assertions and promises of heaven if we follow you, that's why we don't believe that there is a god, because your religion merely sells the notion that god exists without giving any evidence that can support it.
@ultramatuxen There is all sort of evidence in Roman doctrine about a man put to death by pilot. A so called king of the jews, born to a whore that descended from kings. Plus there are 3 different accounts of the day this so called king was sentenced to death. Where the sky had blacken with a full moon present. Also mention is a resurgence of the Christian faith around this same time. So much so the elite of that time were concerned with their power positions.
Continued: There are also several accounts of Jesus brother james being stoned to death. The was all recorded somewhere between 30-40 AD. Obviously many records were lost. Nothing is pure evidence. I realize that. I just know in my heart that money, sex, nice cars, big house's etc. Doesn't really make you happy. Living for God sure seems to be the answer for inner peace. The kind most look their whole life for. I'm sure you'll disagree-And that's ok
Anyway, give me one historical evidence that support the notion that this man existed, and the supernatural things that happened when he died (such as the dead rise from their graves), besides the passages from the bible.
And the spread of christianity began when the roman emperor Constantine converted into a christian and established a law that made christianity the official religion of the roman empire.
@LogicalStatements3 I don't need proof. The proof is in me. However-There is proof Jesus lived and walked the earth. He said he was of God. One in the same. Nobody ever disputes there was a man named Jesus. Many chose not to believe he works weren't magic. But he was here. I believe he was the son of God. So do many others. No-one ever disputes this.
@Rickenbacker53 um, "Nobody ever disputes there was a man named Jesus." bullshit, there is not a shred of reliable evidence that suggests jesus ever existed. Even if he did, why the fuck would you worship a rapist? your fucking sick dude.
@LogicalStatements3 There's no cop out. I chose to follow what the Bible says. I read the Bible I pray. The problem is most people think things are going to change immediately. For some it does. With most of us. It's like anything else. It's a growing process. I have things happen all the time that I've prayed about. I'm sure you'll say that proves nothing. Maybe not to you, but to me it does. That's what is important. Sorry you think that's a cop out.
@LogicalStatements3 There are flaws in everything we do. The constitution, the way we govern our countries and the way we treat people. So why does it surprise us that religion has so many?
@CalvinOrosaa It doesn't really surprise me at all, but going by that logic we must admit or acknowledge that the bible is not the word of "god" for it has so many human flaws in it.
Disclaimer:
I know the bible was written by men but people do say it is the word of "god" , it is all rather hilarious :p
@CalvinOrosaa you just need to think about it. you can't expect someone to believe in something JUST because you can't disprove it. with that logic, why does 80% of the county not also believe in leprechauns, unicorns, flying spaghetti monsters and the boogey man? instead you simply say, i do not believe there is a god because you have not demonstrably proven YOUR claim that he does exist.
@JayyBarbour Are you really so full of hate. That you think those are comparable example. Come on. There are tons of things that point to God being real. If we have evolved from apes or monkeys. Then why are apes and Monkeys still around. Also why did man quit evolving in shape or form. Why aren't our heads the size of basket balls. Watch a saved and then an atheist die. Sit at someone's death bed. Whether they are saved or not. The wicked are scared and gasp for every breath -saved go easy..
@Rickenbacker53 we share a common ancestor with modern apes; we are cousins. AND, you cannot assert that we have quit evolving, because the process of evolution happens over a LONG time. we are STILL evolving. none of these things "point to God being real." they merely show that you know nothing about evolution. there is no reason to believe we have a creator, that we can communicate with it, or that the judeo-christian God/bible are relevant to our origins. sorry.
@JayyBarbour There are plenty of Geologists that don't agree. They say researcher often see what they want to see. AKA Lucy . I would think you'd support God. How could you. He doesn't approve of your Lifestyle choice.
Religious people don't believe in their religion because we can't disprove it, they believe in it because they have faith in it, regardless of the lack of evidence.
So technically all of the above you mentioned could exist, all you'd have to say is that you had 'faith' in them.
@CalvinOrosaa Exactly It all crumbles down to Evidence vs Faith.....
Let us go right back to the beginning....... What was there before the big bang? I do not know, (some) theists answer is that "god" was there before, I ask what created "god"? their answer is nothing he always existed.....I ask how do you know that to be true? they say "just gotta have faith". At that point they are admitting to believing in something that they also admit they cannot prove to be true. That is a childish cop-out.
Amazing that the so-called 'atheist-experience' is supposed to be so free/open minded and rationale- yet they BLOCK ME. Note that I have never insulted anyone, used profanity, spammed them, or made outrageous statements. So much for seeking the truth and open & honest debate

Any single human being that puts aside theology and begins to practice and study any form of deep meditation will realize with practice and much patience that there is something so much greater!
can an american tell me if christianity is taught in your school system??it isnt in here in england.do they teach both science fact and religioun or only religioun?
I dont think shows and videos like this should exist. I'm a staunch atheist/agnostic and when I see things like this it makes me cringe. Arguments over "who is right" are pointless, inconsiderate and never end well or resolve anything. I am respectful and tolerant of other peoples beliefs even when they arent respectful or tolerant of mine. If you want to truly be without religion, then stop engaging in discussions like this, otherwise you're just creating yet another religious group.
@Leestink No, shows like these are absolutely necessary, the point is, as an atheist i dont care what others believe unless it affects my life negatively When christians want my kids to learn pseudo scientific nonsense in schools instead of real science, when an out spoken atheist cant run for office that easily, when religious nut jobs dont let gays to have their rights, when the mullas want to mutilate the genitals of kids etc.. i think we need to speak up. Their beliefs informs their actions.
@Leestink - So you think it's okay to teach that gravity doesn't exist, and that we're all held down by angels, and if you stop believing in the flying spaghetti monster then you'll fly off the face of the earth? After all, you're a rabid "agnostic" (which means nothing, btw), so it's OKAY to teach people these things, right? After all, you can't DISPROVE that belief in the FSM isn't holding you to the ground, therefore, it's okay to say it's true!
@LeksServices Wait a minute. So I'm a Christian but my child can't learn about God. But I am very much against Homosexuals- But it's ok my child is subjected to that? Personally even though I'm a Christian. I don't think public school is the place for it. Go to a private school. In the same respect I don't think anything that influences a child's family beliefs should be taught. The only thing being attacked is Christianity.
MY oldest is in College. It's against campus rules to have any teaching or talk of Christian beliefs. Yet 2 years ago the school had a clock installed that rings a bell at certain times of the day. So Muslims can stop and do their prays. AT dances the straight kids better not get caught getting it on. But there's a special tolerance for the limp wrist crowd to openly show all affections. Except they can't get naked. So it's all about stopping Christians rights and beliefs. That's what is wrong.
@Leestink - In other words, facts are FACTS. They do not change. BELIEF can change. If you want to BELIEVE that evolution does not exist, then YOU ARE FACTUALLY WRONG.
Sometimes, there is no "neutral position." The facts are the facts. You can't teach non-factual bullshit just because you don't like the facts!
Idiot. And yes, your ideas are so stupid you deserve to be mocked for holding them.
@DoubterApe Your what's wrong with the world. Your not willing to take a stand unless it's going to cost you not to. You speak kindly of gays on one hand. On another you complain because fagots want to ruin your kids pecker. Plus your wrong Atheist are mostly very much so pushing this way of belief. If you can't see that. Seriously the world cares not about important matters. They are more interested in the Bachelor or how often Snookie and gang get drunk and then laid.
@Leestink In my opinion its very inhumane to know that religious people around are deluded themselves\were deluded by others, that each second in prayer is a second wasted, see them in their ignoranse doing tremendous harm to themselves and to each other without even realising it, AND at the same time not caring about them and their lives to such point that you convinced yourself that not caring is a right position. People can deal with not caring, but dont say that everyone else also shouldnt
Actually 'rĕ'em originally translates to Unicorn. Modern Bibles like the NIV swapped out 'unicorns' with 'oxen' to make the Bible more believable for modern times. It cant be an wild ox because Psalm 92:10 talks about it having only one horn.
@Serpent541 Hmmm, well, I have it otherwise in a Hebrew English dictionary, but that's a modern translation as well. I'll demur to you sir, and add 'rĕ'em to the list with, spiders are from Satan. *scratching head*
@Serpent541 Well, it seems there is no "unicorn" in Hebrew mythology. Therefore the word "'rĕ'em", would have to mean something besides what the King James translators called unicorn. I'm back to the wild beast, but not ox, since an ox would require domestication.
The KJB translating rĕ'em as unicorn could be an error, but the modern versions are just taking a wild guess with their “wild oxen” translation and most other scriptures show this wild guess to be wrong. The KJB editors could have been ignorant enough to think a rhinoceros was a unicorn for all we know.
@ZebrasFirst Well I vote for hoax. Hmmm echoes of jesus... lets see, war, disease, crime, poverty, etc well you might be right there. Seem a lot like the work of your god.
@ZebrasFirst No I disbelieve god whether good or bad things happen. Those of faith though always seem to attribute only good to their god and brush off the bad. They say that is it our doing or the devil did it or maybe they will say it fits into gods great plan. I also joke about god being real when good things happen also. I don't discriminate. The reality of a god is a joke to me period.
@wraith168, In my local news, a veterinarian sexually raped a horse!! He was arrested for crimes against nature.
(Beastiality) is another recorded crime in Leviticus. According to you, the prankster writers of the Bible "simply" observed people eating pork and getting sick, and observed people engaging in sexual perversion with animals, and just decided to throw that in, too?
@ZebrasFirst - First Timothy, Chapter Two. And no, "out of context doesn't cut it." Remember that all-important partial-verse, "Before you were born, I knew thee ...?" Well, in light of THAT little quote mine, it's hard to dismiss AN ENTIRE CHAPTER as "out of context."
BTW, First Timothy is NEW TESTAMENT. So don't go saying "But that's the old testament!" It does not work.
@USAEVANTOLICO I dunno about you, but a nation floating on the water would be pretty bad-ass.
Especially if you take into account that, to do so, one would have to overcome trials such as: Hurricane winds, tsunamis, oxidization, reliable farming methods, etc...
If an Atheist Nation could accomplish all that, I'd be DAMN proud to be Atheist.
Also, kudos on the stellar grammar, way to be a credit to your team.
Atheists are gay. This implies a screw up in their thought process, they don't understand that if the parts dont fit quit. This is why they think they came out of nothing.
@romanomihai I'm sorry... what? There is a screw-up in the Atheist thought process that makes them think they come out of nothing?
God literally EXISTS as nothing. He, evidently, has always been, and always will be, and created everything... wait for it... FROM NOTHING! Meaning anyone who believes in God actually, legitimately, believes they came from nothing.
@DeathsHood You are goldfish brain? You are the one who stated he literally exists as nothing. Do you forget everything you say after 5 seconds?? We never see any influence? Israel is not a nation is it.. I can see that you don't comprehend bible prophecy. I am glad you came out of nothing and evolved into an advanced ape that was naturally selected to have a goldfish brain.
@romanomihai Wow, it's astounding just how completely retarded you've asserted yourself to be.
Try reading my comments. The argument I present is Christian Logic, not my own.
I didn't 'forget' anything, I merely phrased is better. 'outside time/space/logic'. That means 'As nothing', and THAT is what Christians believe God exists as.
And yeah, there is no evidence for God, just like there is no evidence against God, because God is a negative.
@DeathsHood Are you a Christian? Do you speak on behalf of all Christians? So, explain what evidence for God is. I didn't know God needed evidence to exist, I must be an idiot. But that is OK you are going to tell me what evidence is needed. You have been naturally selected for this. IT IS YOUR NATURALLY SELECTED DESTINY!!!
Without evidence, you can't claim something exists.
What evidence is needed? Really? ANY evidence is needed. A photo, a 'Hi, how do you do', an epic, booming voice coming from the clouds threatening Great Smiting. ANYTHING!
Yet, there is none. No evidence exists to prove God.
That's why I'm Atheist, because it's completely illogical to claim 100% accuracy of knowledge on something that has no proof.
@DeathsHood A photo? Now lets just say we had a photo.. how many people would believe a photo, that can be edited in so many different ways, is God? A hi how do you do? Life isn't enough, and a scripture to a promise of an afterlife? LOL a booming voice in the clouds?? If you hear a voice, the atheist will say ohh nonono that was just a coincidink from thunder sounding like it was talking. Or, my fave, they will say its an alien that sent a sound wave from 1543200000 miles away lol
@romanomihai Sure you could alter a photograph but there are dozens, if not more, ways to assure a photographs authenticity, a 'Hi how do you do' would be irrefutable if it really was God, because 'God' could prove it was Him, and a giant booming voice coming from the clouds promising Great Smiting is also equally irrefutable.
We have seen NONE of that, and NOTHING else to prove that God does, indeed exist.
If you think it's an alien sound-wave... err... good for you, I guess...
@DeathsHood Right, but who says God wants or has too reveal himself physically? Who are we to say when God feels like doing what he wants to with is own creation. We can't understand God... that doesn't imply anything about his existence, other than that this being is far to great.. we have to believe and it is so simple a blind man can do it. Why must we be pampered and have him prove something to us, when we should be the ones proving we believe. That is the way of the wise man...
@romanomihai A complete lack of any evidence to be presented makes for a great case regarding the existence of God, huh?
I don't care if God pampers me, or any other Human being in existence. If He, in all his omnipotent glory, can't spare a single 'Hey, what's up?' it's obvious to me that he doesn't exist.
Your 'way of the wise man' is more 'way of the unsure fearful man' if you MUST have an afterlife, and it MUST be 100% perfect with immortality/all your hopes and dreams/whatever.
@romanomihai - Your god is supposed to be omniscient, therefore it would know how to demonstrate it's existence so everyone knew it existed. Your argument fails here, too.
@romanomihai - He stated YOUR world view. Tell me, is god empirically testable, that is, testable in such a way as to pass peer review? Can we do a test that shows that god exists in no uncertain terms? A test that is repeatable in every laboratory, one that will show to each of us that, without a doubt, it was god? And if god can be tested that way, what makes god any different from science?
You claim science can't know god. Therefore, god does not exist because god is not testable.
@romanomihai - Yet, in spite of god not being testable, god does exist, even though you can not demonstrate god to anyone else in any way shape or form.
So it is your logic that god exists and does not exist at the same time. Not ours.
@LeksServices You make no sense... what you are asking is irrational. You are asking to test a being with no limits. Think about how foolish you sound. Get over yourself, I figure you are the type who thinks he is smarter than everybody.
@romanomihai Well I am an ape, so are you all humans are it's not really debatable even if you don't believe in evolution, and I do like bannanas. So yes please, I would like a banana.
A person who believes in God does not believe he is an advanced ape. These 2, baldy waldy and chibby wubby, don't beleive in God. They are super apes / gaythiests. Therefore, if you say God exists but unicorns don't, they get offended because for Christmas as little gay kids they wanted Unicorns. "So why would God be realy if my unicorn isn't! NAH NAH!" that is their logic. Dumb and dumber, and too al other athiests, God is in a spiritual place so how can we physically prove God? By a unicorn?
@romanomihai - How about this: Show us god exists.
BTW, there's a "free will" argument that's easily broken down. In your fairy tales, Satan knows god exists. It hasn't effected his free will any, now, has it?
Want more christian logic? God created hell. Everything happens to gods plan. Therefore, god planned to send you to hell.
@LeksServices free will is free will. God's plan is God's plan. You can believe as you will, but God's plan is going down. It isn't easy for a non believer to understand..
@bardiche1989 yet it was written that if you believe you save yourself from Hell. I am sure you have it all figured out. If God planned to send you to hell then it wouldn't of had been written otherwise. Oh so flawless is one who believes in nothing?
@romanomihai The basic dogma of christianity, and/or most organized religion is this: believe in god, or go to hell.
And, if god has a plan for everyone, then isn't it by his almighty plan that I would become an atheist at one point in my life? That means that he already knows that I would be sent to hell along with those who once believed his existence and then abandoned their beliefs. god is ultimately responsible for sending people to hell, not the people themselves.
@ultramatuxen - sorry, but you are mistaken- that is not the premise of Christian belief presented in the Bible if you will examine. the LORD in the Bible does not threaten or punish pple with "hell" There is no compulsion of faith. God offers himself to anyone who seeks Him in Spirit and Truth. Pple who dislike faith and what He offers will not have him & will experience what they want- everyone experiences the universal principal of reaping what you sow !
@shieldsff You reap what you sow, I like that thought, but if you really say that he doesn't threaten or punish people with hell, then you are the one who's mistaken.
Because if god gave me the freedom to believe or not to believe in him, what does this almighty being have in store for me if I answer no? Answer: eternal punishment in a place you call hell.
So don't tell me that the bible doesn't threaten people with hell, because you will be contradicting your 'holy' book.
@ultramatuxen - sorry, but I think that if you were paying attention to what I just stated you would see that I did [just] tell you that.... it's, in fact, quite clear to anyone who takes the time to seek and examine...
As for what the Almighty has in store for (for you and others), what is in store simply is what you choose and decide to to with your fate and decisions in eternity.. People who do not want or who hate God will not have any part of Him; isn't that free will ?
@shieldsff Examine what exactly? That one of the requirements to enter hell is to reject the idea of his existence, regardless of the good things that one may have done in his life?
And for your free will speech, if I am free to choose between believe in god or not, why is there a consequence if I choose not to believe? If I really am free to choose, there would be no consequence for saying "No, I don't believe in god.", and any answer you give won't get you a punishment nor a prize.
namely the thoughts, writings &reasoning underlying the Christian perspective which might help to address many of the criticism you offer (most of which are not at all innovative or logically sound).
Imagine a person insisting they are building a space-craft to Mars but because of a dislike of rocket fuel they instead intend to use diesel- both are petroleum derived fuels they might insist. The point is that we have 'bounded free-will' within the confines of laws, truth &reality
again as far as examining, you might begin with a study of the New Testament Gospel of John and the letter of Romans, Another book which does a great job of examining the nature of moral epistimology & human nature is "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis. To object to the laws of nature & scince is not a reasonable argument against the ultimate reality of God. That aside, even many humanist atheists agree that morality is a societal good & contains behavioral consequences
@shieldsff Did morality come from religion? no, it didn't, it comes intrinsically, from our innate understanding of what is wrong and what is right, and the parameter by which we measure what's right and what's wrong that changes overtime.
And this free-will argument you keep spouting is flawed, because if we are really free to choose, there should be no terrible consequence for saying no, and there won't be an ultimate reward for saying yes.
@shieldsff And may I ask, what is the ultimate reality of god? All of us are bound by laws of nature, and science merely explains the universe as it is instead of attributing god to something we haven't fully understand. 'god did it' is a satisfying answer to a religious, ignorant person, the same as a bottle of beer is a satisfying resolution to the problems of an alcoholic person. It doesn't explain or do anything good except to make them feel good about themselves.
actually, not really I could maybe also make the fatuous statement (like you) that atheism (or whatever you believe) is an make believe illusion for an person to ignorant and immoral to reflect on the possibility of an eternal nature of man, etc) - but I won't because that is clearly offensive when trying to have a reasonable & civil discussion. I've offered you responses & references- U are at liberty to consider them or not as you will. Western monotheism has no compulsion clause
@shieldsff Which is more fatuous; the belief that there is a creator that created this vast universe and offering humans the reward of eternal life in heaven by just believing in him and following the rules from a terribly outdated book that was made thousands of years ago and eternal torture in hell for not doing so, or the contrary: there is nothing that can prove religion is true so maybe it's not right.
Which one is fatuous? (in your opinion of course.)
Because as I understand it, compulsion is where you felt the need to do something, sometimes it's without a clear reason of why you should do so.
And Western monotheism uses this, by promising hell if you don't do the stuff that God tells you to do, such as believing his existence without a certifiable proof. So you are compelled to do so, because there will be a terrible consequence if you don't do it.
that is well and fine- it's understandable that you would object and have great anguish about this potential fate of eternal suffering..Jesus said it's so serious that we should be concerned w/building for ourselves a storehouse in heaven (prioritize eternity) then being mainly focused on our temporal existence. As our Creator, reality can only flow from His existence. That said, God of the Bible sends no one to 'hell';rather, sinners CHOOSE hell. It's His desire that none perish
@shieldsff I object to the notion that a loving god would create a place where someone would be tortured forever, I don't believe in hell, why should I be concerned about something that I don't believe in?
Question; who created the requirements for getting into hell or heaven? god. and judging by what you said, god has a plan for all of us correct?
So by that logic, his plan for me is to be an atheist at one point in my life, and go to hell because I will reject his religion.
@shieldsff Sinners doesn't choose hell, because if what you say is true, that god has a plan for all of us, he already knows that some of his loyal followers will reject the idea of his existence.
So in a sense, he does send people to eternal torture, because it's all part of his grand plan.
@ultramatuxen Dude, it was god's dick move I was talking about!! I am an atheist too and I think the biblical god is an DICK! That makes MOVES! It is his DICK MOVE I was talking about! Do you realy think an theist would make a statement about his faith with "kind of a dick move"?! CAMON!
correct, what I say is true, but it does not follow that He the Creator sends all but 'his loyal followers' there..You seem to resent and attempt to criticize God because He DID NOT make us as robots or automatons. He gives sufficient knowledge in our human consciences to know that there is a moral law and some existence outside of our temporal human existence. God will judge everyone perfectly. At this time, He speaks peace to all people in the life & resurrection of Jesus Christ
@shieldsff Why would I resent it if god didn't make us like automatons?
I resent the thinking that this creator made us capable of thinking, and questioning the mysteries of the universe, but yet if you use that brain of yours to come to the logical conclusion that there might not be a creator, there's an eternal punishment waiting for you.
And we can think that there is some existence outside of our own existence. But as long as there is no proof, why should I believe them?
@ultramatuxen - You object to the wisdom & judgments of God & ask if His actions fair, right or good ? Have you asked yourself what is good ? What human or even yourself has the ability to make determinations about the nature of the universe, human nature or the value of people's lives. You inveigh against God with me,but I am not a moral authority- only God is the Creator &source of values. So if U dislike the fullness of what Creator has made what on earth do U mean by good?
@shieldsff Have you asked yourself for what is considered as good? Because what is considered as good now, and what's considered as good back then is so much different.
e.g: It's okay to have slaves in Jesus' times, but it's not good to have slaves in the 21st century.
We have the ability to determine of what is good and what isn't, and if you want us to follow the morals of the bible, we would be living in the 1st century where women are treated like a property.
@ultramatuxen How can you say it was good to have slave back then? It is because god said it? Because, as fair as I am concerned, it sucks to be a slave, it sucks to have your children or your wife slaved. Slavery causes human suffering and human pain. It is not, by any fair standard, good. Wait; are you a christian or an atheist? Because you said something about determining good from bad, but I thought christians would just follow what god says.
He should believe in unicorns, the bible mentions them a few times

I'm a skeptic of God as much as these guys are.
But just because catholics/christians/muslims...whatever it is, can't prove their god exists
It doesn't mean us atheists/agnostics can prove they don't exist.
CalvinOrosaa 1 week ago
@CalvinOrosaa That is why every actual atheist is agnostic, if a so called atheist states with conviction that a "god" does not exist then they are just anti-theist or anti-god i guess.
Usually people that become atheist after a life of indoctrination tend to say that a "god" definitely does not exist, probably as a form of rebellion but no doubt they will keep learning and realize that at this point in time nobody can justifiably say a "god" exists or does not exist.
LogicalStatements3 1 week ago
@LogicalStatements3 That's because God is Spiritual-There are several different recordings of Jesus.People don't deny Jesus lived. He raised the dead-Walked on water-fed a multitude of people. We still don't believe. So I guess God knew that. Because it's spoken to in the Bible with the word elect. Those that have chosen to by faith believe. There never will be absolute evidence like what is demanded by Atheists. Not until it's to late will you know.Yet we believe we'll get to work everyday ETC""""
Rickenbacker53 23 hours ago
@Rickenbacker53 God is supernatural, he can't be proven.
Atheists don't ask for absolute evidence, we ask for a certifiable, empirical evidence that can back up your claims of god's existence.
But instead of evidence, you give repeated assertions and promises of heaven if we follow you, that's why we don't believe that there is a god, because your religion merely sells the notion that god exists without giving any evidence that can support it.
ultramatuxen 22 hours ago
@ultramatuxen There is all sort of evidence in Roman doctrine about a man put to death by pilot. A so called king of the jews, born to a whore that descended from kings. Plus there are 3 different accounts of the day this so called king was sentenced to death. Where the sky had blacken with a full moon present. Also mention is a resurgence of the Christian faith around this same time. So much so the elite of that time were concerned with their power positions.
Rickenbacker53 1 hour ago
Continued: There are also several accounts of Jesus brother james being stoned to death. The was all recorded somewhere between 30-40 AD. Obviously many records were lost. Nothing is pure evidence. I realize that. I just know in my heart that money, sex, nice cars, big house's etc. Doesn't really make you happy. Living for God sure seems to be the answer for inner peace. The kind most look their whole life for. I'm sure you'll disagree-And that's ok
Rickenbacker53 1 hour ago
@Rickenbacker53 By pilot...? Don't you mean Pontius Pilate?
Anyway, give me one historical evidence that support the notion that this man existed, and the supernatural things that happened when he died (such as the dead rise from their graves), besides the passages from the bible.
And the spread of christianity began when the roman emperor Constantine converted into a christian and established a law that made christianity the official religion of the roman empire.
ultramatuxen 1 hour ago
@Rickenbacker53 Yes so you admit to believing in something that you yourself does not know exists...
I am sorry but one can only resemble that to a child believing in santa.
I openly state that by one using the word "faith" one must have a childlike mentality.
I just wish that "adult children" would grow up.
LogicalStatements3 22 hours ago
@Rickenbacker53 You can read the bible over and over and over again, how do you link that to a "god" existing? via the word "faith" right?
There you are, admitting you believe in something that you also admit you cannot prove to exist.
That is also known as a cop-out.
You have know answer therefore you insert that cop-out of a word called "faith".
LogicalStatements3 22 hours ago
@LogicalStatements3 I don't need proof. The proof is in me. However-There is proof Jesus lived and walked the earth. He said he was of God. One in the same. Nobody ever disputes there was a man named Jesus. Many chose not to believe he works weren't magic. But he was here. I believe he was the son of God. So do many others. No-one ever disputes this.
Rickenbacker53 19 hours ago
@Rickenbacker53 um, "Nobody ever disputes there was a man named Jesus." bullshit, there is not a shred of reliable evidence that suggests jesus ever existed. Even if he did, why the fuck would you worship a rapist? your fucking sick dude.

Rickenbacker53 1 hour ago
@LogicalStatements3 There's no cop out. I chose to follow what the Bible says. I read the Bible I pray. The problem is most people think things are going to change immediately. For some it does. With most of us. It's like anything else. It's a growing process. I have things happen all the time that I've prayed about. I'm sure you'll say that proves nothing. Maybe not to you, but to me it does. That's what is important. Sorry you think that's a cop out.
Rickenbacker53 1 hour ago
@CalvinOrosaa That does not stop us from pointing out the flaws in religion though.
LogicalStatements3 1 week ago
@LogicalStatements3 There are flaws in everything we do. The constitution, the way we govern our countries and the way we treat people. So why does it surprise us that religion has so many?
CalvinOrosaa 1 day ago
@CalvinOrosaa It doesn't really surprise me at all, but going by that logic we must admit or acknowledge that the bible is not the word of "god" for it has so many human flaws in it.
Disclaimer:
I know the bible was written by men but people do say it is the word of "god" , it is all rather hilarious :p
LogicalStatements3 1 day ago
@CalvinOrosaa you just need to think about it. you can't expect someone to believe in something JUST because you can't disprove it. with that logic, why does 80% of the county not also believe in leprechauns, unicorns, flying spaghetti monsters and the boogey man? instead you simply say, i do not believe there is a god because you have not demonstrably proven YOUR claim that he does exist.
JayyBarbour 4 days ago
@JayyBarbour Are you really so full of hate. That you think those are comparable example. Come on. There are tons of things that point to God being real. If we have evolved from apes or monkeys. Then why are apes and Monkeys still around. Also why did man quit evolving in shape or form. Why aren't our heads the size of basket balls. Watch a saved and then an atheist die. Sit at someone's death bed. Whether they are saved or not. The wicked are scared and gasp for every breath -saved go easy..
Rickenbacker53 1 day ago
@Rickenbacker53 we share a common ancestor with modern apes; we are cousins. AND, you cannot assert that we have quit evolving, because the process of evolution happens over a LONG time. we are STILL evolving. none of these things "point to God being real." they merely show that you know nothing about evolution. there is no reason to believe we have a creator, that we can communicate with it, or that the judeo-christian God/bible are relevant to our origins. sorry.
JayyBarbour 1 day ago
@JayyBarbour There are plenty of Geologists that don't agree. They say researcher often see what they want to see. AKA Lucy . I would think you'd support God. How could you. He doesn't approve of your Lifestyle choice.
Rickenbacker53 1 day ago
@JayyBarbour
Religious people don't believe in their religion because we can't disprove it, they believe in it because they have faith in it, regardless of the lack of evidence.
So technically all of the above you mentioned could exist, all you'd have to say is that you had 'faith' in them.
CalvinOrosaa 1 day ago
@CalvinOrosaa Exactly It all crumbles down to Evidence vs Faith.....
Let us go right back to the beginning....... What was there before the big bang? I do not know, (some) theists answer is that "god" was there before, I ask what created "god"? their answer is nothing he always existed.....I ask how do you know that to be true? they say "just gotta have faith". At that point they are admitting to believing in something that they also admit they cannot prove to be true. That is a childish cop-out.

Rickenbacker53 1 day ago
MY oldest is in College. It's against campus rules to have any teaching or talk of Christian beliefs. Yet 2 years ago the school had a clock installed that rings a bell at certain times of the day. So Muslims can stop and do their prays. AT dances the straight kids better not get caught getting it on. But there's a special tolerance for the limp wrist crowd to openly show all affections. Except they can't get naked. So it's all about stopping Christians rights and beliefs. That's what is wrong.
Rickenbacker53 1 day ago
@Leestink - In other words, facts are FACTS. They do not change. BELIEF can change. If you want to BELIEVE that evolution does not exist, then YOU ARE FACTUALLY WRONG.
Sometimes, there is no "neutral position." The facts are the facts. You can't teach non-factual bullshit just because you don't like the facts!
Idiot. And yes, your ideas are so stupid you deserve to be mocked for holding them.

@BlissfullyDoubtful The word "Unicorn" is an English mistranslation from the Hebrew word re'em, that better translates as wild ox
Postie218 4 weeks ago
@Postie218
Actually 'rĕ'em originally translates to Unicorn. Modern Bibles like the NIV swapped out 'unicorns' with 'oxen' to make the Bible more believable for modern times. It cant be an wild ox because Psalm 92:10 talks about it having only one horn.
Serpent541 3 weeks ago
@Serpent541 Hmmm, well, I have it otherwise in a Hebrew English dictionary, but that's a modern translation as well. I'll demur to you sir, and add 'rĕ'em to the list with, spiders are from Satan. *scratching head*
Postie218 3 weeks ago
@Serpent541 Well, it seems there is no "unicorn" in Hebrew mythology. Therefore the word "'rĕ'em", would have to mean something besides what the King James translators called unicorn. I'm back to the wild beast, but not ox, since an ox would require domestication.

The KJB translating rĕ'em as unicorn could be an error, but the modern versions are just taking a wild guess with their “wild oxen” translation and most other scriptures show this wild guess to be wrong. The KJB editors could have been ignorant enough to think a rhinoceros was a unicorn for all we know.

romanomihai 1 month ago
@romanomihai I'm sorry... what? There is a screw-up in the Atheist thought process that makes them think they come out of nothing?
God literally EXISTS as nothing. He, evidently, has always been, and always will be, and created everything... wait for it... FROM NOTHING! Meaning anyone who believes in God actually, legitimately, believes they came from nothing.
The only screw-up in logic is believing in God.
DeathsHood 1 month ago
@DeathsHood ? u r mental. So God doesnt exist but he exists as nothing? U must be an atheist, only they use such profound complex logic
romanomihai 1 month ago
@romanomihai That's actually Christian logic.
God exists outside time/space/logic, and yet he created the entire Universe from absolutely nothing.
Christian logic.
God is the 'only being that can not exist, yet exist and influence the effects of... everything all at once'
Yet we never see any influence of God that says 'I'm God, I did this'.
DeathsHood 1 month ago
@DeathsHood You are goldfish brain? You are the one who stated he literally exists as nothing. Do you forget everything you say after 5 seconds?? We never see any influence? Israel is not a nation is it.. I can see that you don't comprehend bible prophecy. I am glad you came out of nothing and evolved into an advanced ape that was naturally selected to have a goldfish brain.
romanomihai 1 month ago
@romanomihai Wow, it's astounding just how completely retarded you've asserted yourself to be.
Try reading my comments. The argument I present is Christian Logic, not my own.
I didn't 'forget' anything, I merely phrased is better. 'outside time/space/logic'. That means 'As nothing', and THAT is what Christians believe God exists as.
And yeah, there is no evidence for God, just like there is no evidence against God, because God is a negative.
DeathsHood 1 month ago
@DeathsHood Are you a Christian? Do you speak on behalf of all Christians? So, explain what evidence for God is. I didn't know God needed evidence to exist, I must be an idiot. But that is OK you are going to tell me what evidence is needed. You have been naturally selected for this. IT IS YOUR NATURALLY SELECTED DESTINY!!!
romanomihai 1 month ago
@romanomihai Yes, you are an idiot.
Everything needs evidence to exist.
DeathsHood 1 month ago
@DeathsHood A photo? Now lets just say we had a photo.. how many people would believe a photo, that can be edited in so many different ways, is God? A hi how do you do? Life isn't enough, and a scripture to a promise of an afterlife? LOL a booming voice in the clouds?? If you hear a voice, the atheist will say ohh nonono that was just a coincidink from thunder sounding like it was talking. Or, my fave, they will say its an alien that sent a sound wave from 1543200000 miles away lol
romanomihai 1 month ago
@romanomihai Sure you could alter a photograph but there are dozens, if not more, ways to assure a photographs authenticity, a 'Hi how do you do' would be irrefutable if it really was God, because 'God' could prove it was Him, and a giant booming voice coming from the clouds promising Great Smiting is also equally irrefutable.
We have seen NONE of that, and NOTHING else to prove that God does, indeed exist.
If you think it's an alien sound-wave... err... good for you, I guess...
DeathsHood 1 month ago
@DeathsHood Right, but who says God wants or has too reveal himself physically? Who are we to say when God feels like doing what he wants to with is own creation. We can't understand God... that doesn't imply anything about his existence, other than that this being is far to great.. we have to believe and it is so simple a blind man can do it. Why must we be pampered and have him prove something to us, when we should be the ones proving we believe. That is the way of the wise man...
romanomihai 1 month ago
@romanomihai A complete lack of any evidence to be presented makes for a great case regarding the existence of God, huh?
I don't care if God pampers me, or any other Human being in existence. If He, in all his omnipotent glory, can't spare a single 'Hey, what's up?' it's obvious to me that he doesn't exist.
Your 'way of the wise man' is more 'way of the unsure fearful man' if you MUST have an afterlife, and it MUST be 100% perfect with immortality/all your hopes and dreams/whatever.
DeathsHood 1 month ago

BTW, there's a "free will" argument that's easily broken down. In your fairy tales, Satan knows god exists. It hasn't effected his free will any, now, has it?
Want more christian logic? God created hell. Everything happens to gods plan. Therefore, god planned to send you to hell.
Good luck getting out of those paradoxes!
LeksServices 3 weeks ago
@LeksServices free will is free will. God's plan is God's plan. You can believe as you will, but God's plan is going down. It isn't easy for a non believer to understand..
romanomihai 2 weeks ago
@romanomihai you are clearly mad LeksServices destroyed your argument
be mad br0 :))
"Want more christian logic? God created hell. Everything happens to gods plan. Therefore, god planned to send you to hell."
This was a flawless clear deduction and not irrational at all you are simply mad and in denial :p
bardiche1989 2 weeks ago
@bardiche1989 yet it was written that if you believe you save yourself from Hell. I am sure you have it all figured out. If God planned to send you to hell then it wouldn't of had been written otherwise. Oh so flawless is one who believes in nothing?
romanomihai 2 weeks ago

Pple who dislike faith and what He offers will not have him & will experience what they want- everyone experiences the universal principal of reaping what you sow !
shieldsff 2 weeks ago
@shieldsff You reap what you sow, I like that thought, but if you really say that he doesn't threaten or punish people with hell, then you are the one who's mistaken.
Because if god gave me the freedom to believe or not to believe in him, what does this almighty being have in store for me if I answer no? Answer: eternal punishment in a place you call hell.
So don't tell me that the bible doesn't threaten people with hell, because you will be contradicting your 'holy' book.
ultramatuxen 2 weeks ago
@ultramatuxen - sorry, but I think that if you were paying attention to what I just stated you would see that I did [just] tell you that.... it's, in fact, quite clear to anyone who takes the time to seek and examine...
As for what the Almighty has in store for (for you and others), what is in store simply is what you choose and decide to to with your fate and decisions in eternity.. People who do not want or who hate God will not have any part of Him; isn't that free will ?
shieldsff 2 weeks ago

The point is that we have 'bounded free-will' within the confines of laws, truth &reality
shieldsff 1 week ago
again as far as examining, you might begin with a study of the New Testament Gospel of John and the letter of Romans, Another book which does a great job of examining the nature of moral epistimology & human nature is "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis. To object to the laws of nature & scince is not a reasonable argument against the ultimate reality of God. That aside, even many humanist atheists agree that morality is a societal good & contains behavioral consequences
shieldsff 1 week ago
@shieldsff Did morality come from religion? no, it didn't, it comes intrinsically, from our innate understanding of what is wrong and what is right, and the parameter by which we measure what's right and what's wrong that changes overtime.
And this free-will argument you keep spouting is flawed, because if we are really free to choose, there should be no terrible consequence for saying no, and there won't be an ultimate reward for saying yes.
E.g:Hell for not believing, Heaven for believing.
ultramatuxen 1 week ago
@shieldsff And may I ask, what is the ultimate reality of god? All of us are bound by laws of nature, and science merely explains the universe as it is instead of attributing god to something we haven't fully understand. 'god did it' is a satisfying answer to a religious, ignorant person, the same as a bottle of beer is a satisfying resolution to the problems of an alcoholic person. It doesn't explain or do anything good except to make them feel good about themselves.
ultramatuxen 1 week ago
actually, not really I could maybe also make the fatuous statement (like you) that atheism (or whatever you believe) is an make believe illusion for an person to ignorant and immoral to reflect on the possibility of an eternal nature of man, etc) - but I won't because that is clearly offensive when trying to have a reasonable & civil discussion. I've offered you responses & references- U are at liberty to consider them or not as you will. Western monotheism has no compulsion clause
shieldsff 1 week ago
@shieldsff Which is more fatuous; the belief that there is a creator that created this vast universe and offering humans the reward of eternal life in heaven by just believing in him and following the rules from a terribly outdated book that was made thousands of years ago and eternal torture in hell for not doing so, or the contrary: there is nothing that can prove religion is true so maybe it's not right.
Which one is fatuous? (in your opinion of course.)
ultramatuxen 1 week ago
@shieldsff And no compulsion? Really?
So think about that for a second.
ultramatuxen 1 week ago
that is well and fine- it's understandable that you would object and have great anguish about this potential fate of eternal suffering..Jesus said it's so serious that we should be concerned w/building for ourselves a storehouse in heaven (prioritize eternity) then being mainly focused on our temporal existence. As our Creator, reality can only flow from His existence. That said, God of the Bible sends no one to 'hell';rather, sinners CHOOSE hell. It's His desire that none perish
shieldsff 1 week ago
@shieldsff I object to the notion that a loving god would create a place where someone would be tortured forever, I don't believe in hell, why should I be concerned about something that I don't believe in?
Question; who created the requirements for getting into hell or heaven? god. and judging by what you said, god has a plan for all of us correct?
So by that logic, his plan for me is to be an atheist at one point in my life, and go to hell because I will reject his religion.
ultramatuxen 1 week ago
@shieldsff Sinners doesn't choose hell, because if what you say is true, that god has a plan for all of us, he already knows that some of his loyal followers will reject the idea of his existence.
So in a sense, he does send people to eternal torture, because it's all part of his grand plan.

@ultramatuxen kind of a dick move, hun?
fadechicobuarque1989 1 week ago
@fadechicobuarque1989 what dick move?
ultramatuxen 1 week ago
@ultramatuxen you know... eternal torture... send people there... Isn't a... dick... move...
?
fadechicobuarque1989 1 week ago
@fadechicobuarque1989 That's not my dick move you know? because if god of the bible exists, the logic goes like this;
-He has a plan for all of us, and nothing that happened, or will happen in the world goes against his plan.
-He also created the requirements for people to be tortured for eternity in hell or rewarded in heaven.
-So if one day a religious man decided to become an atheist, he would be tortured for eternity in hell, but does that goes against god's plan?
No.
ultramatuxen 1 week ago
@ultramatuxen Dude, it was god's dick move I was talking about!! I am an atheist too and I think the biblical god is an DICK! That makes MOVES! It is his DICK MOVE I was talking about! Do you realy think an theist would make a statement about his faith with "kind of a dick move"?! CAMON!

@fadechicobuarque1989 Sorry, sorry, I was just so caught up in the moment that I forgot to check your name, truly sorry!

@ultramatuxen oh, you confused me with that theist you were talking with. Thats ok, I've done that before.
fadechicobuarque1989 1 week ago
@fadechicobuarque1989 Yeah, I really apologize man, I messed up, won't happen again.
ultramatuxen 1 week ago
@ultramatuxen hey, that is ok. It is not like you will go to hell for that or anything ;-))
fadechicobuarque1989 1 week ago
correct, what I say is true, but it does not follow that He the Creator sends all but 'his loyal followers' there..You seem to resent and attempt to criticize God because He DID NOT make us as robots or automatons. He gives sufficient knowledge in our human consciences to know that there is a moral law and some existence outside of our temporal human existence. God will judge everyone perfectly. At this time, He speaks peace to all people in the life & resurrection of Jesus Christ
shieldsff 1 week ago
@shieldsff Why would I resent it if god didn't make us like automatons?
I resent the thinking that this creator made us capable of thinking, and questioning the mysteries of the universe, but yet if you use that brain of yours to come to the logical conclusion that there might not be a creator, there's an eternal punishment waiting for you.
And we can think that there is some existence outside of our own existence. But as long as there is no proof, why should I believe them?
ultramatuxen 1 week ago
@ultramatuxen - You object to the wisdom & judgments of God & ask if His actions fair, right or good ? Have you asked yourself what is good ? What human or even yourself has the ability to make determinations about the nature of the universe, human nature or the value of people's lives. You inveigh against God with me,but I am not a moral authority- only God is the Creator &source of values. So if U dislike the fullness of what Creator has made what on earth do U mean by good?
shieldsff 1 week ago
