Sound and acceleration LOOKS --> 3.6 liter standard ... no upgrates.

@bmtastic I love e34 but I have only a 520i. But it is my dream to have a M5. But I do not know wich, the 3,6L or the 3,8L M5... The M38B38 should not be so good, i have heared. The M38B36, your angine, should be better and should live loger. And I have heared, that both M5´s had very little power at little Rpm´s. Only in higher Rpm´s they should have power. Sry, if my English isn´t so good, I go still to school and I am 16.^^

3.8 liter 340 hp 6 gears . The 3.8 liter should b better dow ;-) And its true ! till 4000 rpms not fast , they need + 4000 rpms to Go fast in acceleration . Mine is tuned by Racing Dynamics , So i dont have that problem ;-)

I think this is a 3.8:

Check out the right side of the rpm gauge, sometimes a green button comes in the picture. Thats the EDC (Electronische Dämpfer Control) which only came in the 3.8 versions if Im not mistaken.

M5 has that wheel, and it is an M5. The exhaust is M5 but not sure if it is 3.6 or 3.8. Gotta love the e34 M's!!!

i think this was from an alpina bmw or a newer 535? Idk. I owned a 525i '92 but engine got swallowed with water. steering wheel is 3 spoked isnt it?

this is the wheel from the 3.8. the 3.6 models usually have 3 spokes
