  • 2:35 Looks like the baboon is laughing.

  • There's an additional scene where he fuses a warthog with a human female, and Rosie O'Donnell steps out of the telepod.

  • @gspendlove you deserve a cookie

  • Looked like he was jacking off

  • better than any CG animation

  • does cronenberg himself cut-off this material?? as Seth with his extra fly foot, probably facing a mirror and just saying "You went so far this time, dude"

  • terrifying

  • 127 hours, science edition

  • SCIENCE!

  • Gross!

  • I get the feeling this is how CatDog was made....

  • damnnnn yo

  • cool but disturbing

  • One of my favorite movies all these years, and I never knew this remarkable scene existed -- wow!

  • I just got done watching the movie on Netflix (loved it!!) but I'm really glad they deleted these two not up to par scenes. The animal splice was unnecessarily cruel and disturbing to watch and took his charecter in the wrong direction. Also, it looked like a silly rubber hand puppet. Plus, how could he chew off parts of himself? Ouch! Just silly. Much tighter movie without these.

  • @audiotrax2000 why dude? animal cruelty is coooool

  • if he had three chambers, he could of made manbearpig...

  • He should have made a Catdog instead.

  • One fine day there was a chatter and a purr

A baby was born and it caused a little stir

No blue buzzard, no four-legged snake

    Just a nasty-looking little CatApe

CatApe! CatApe! Immediately Purged from the world is the little CatApe!

  • @OminousFlare Fucking brilliant.

  • Never seen that scene before I always wondered what happened to the 2nd baboon lol

  • @Schurtburg Turned inside out.

  • No wonder they chose to leave this out! His suit is ridiculous and the spliced creature is like a rubbish comedy! Why film that!

  • @gledhi go watch a micheal bay movie idiot.

  • @DrawOutTheLions why would i want to do that? Tosser.

  • And so he decides to go through with it. Imagine: A fly, two humans, and a fetus.

    Not a pleasant thought...

  • Where the fuck does he keep getting all these baboons?

  • @PoonBot5K lol

  • So if u own this movie u can see this deleted scene, right? OH GOD WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT THING!

  • So if u own this movie u can see this deleted scene, right?

  • like for Oh Hell No!

  • I always liked the drumstick best.

  • That was lovely. I think I'll skip eating dinner tonight.

  • @hafabee good idea

  • Never saw that at Red Lobster.

  • Guy calm down the cat was teleported to a magical land where combine ruled the earth waiting for the next scientist to teleport it into another magical dimension. The monkey though hasn't

  • FAK YOU CRONENBERG!!!

*runs off crying and has nightmares at later that night

  • HOLY SHIT!!!

  • TELEPOD 1 + TELEPOD2= TELEPOD3

    iphone4+iphone4s= iphone 8GS

Just imagine you in the world with latest gadget and apple company pay you for invention.

  • He found a way to pound the puss and spank the monkey at the same time!! XD

  • @1992Xenomorph lol that's really witty

  • Just imagine the world with a monkey-cat...

A milk drinking, banana eating monstrosity that both meows and flings it's filth at you, as well as masturbate in public and can rip you in half...

That my friends, is what nightmares are made of...

  • well done, being a bastard xD

  • why in THIS WORLD they cut this scene out? ok, its obvious, because its very graphic.. but its brilliant..

I'm a fan of The Fly for almost 20 years i think (i'm 29). And i've seen this scene for the first time in my life today.

They should make a director's cut and reimplement this scene for sure....

    absolutely stunning and perfect.....

  • @jone4s same story here, and i've seen it for the first time 22 hours after you did :)

  • @jone4s not really. To sense how david's filmmaking is, he knew where there is stuff unnecessary to be shown; not because it's disgusting but to the point where showing alot tends overkill the movie. Agreed that it should've been in this flick but again a key to a good film is to balance everything with moderation.

  • @jone4s The consensus of the scene was the audience thought Brundle was being cruel to the animals and therefore lost all sympathy. That's why this scene was cut out.

  • this is a movie i loved , it was on amc this morning for fear fest and im sure ill see it again. This is one movie i wouldnt mind being remade, id like to see a cool update to it.

  • @TombstoneInc Haha, same here! It's actually still on AMC (ends in about 5 mins). David Cronenberg is a great, horror filmmaker!

  • Why was this scene deleted? It perfectly fits into the movie.

  • isnt it cute?

  • this is the scariest scne in the movie!

  • +1 if you thing that this scene should be in the movie!

  • So...what was he trying to accomplish? He knows splicing is possible, is he trying to fuse them and see if he can separate them? Why not try a rat and a fly seeing as how that would probably yield similar results to himself...and would probably be less likely to require lead pipe-related disposal.

    And no control group?!

I'm starting to think that being turned into a pus-spewing fly-creature may have a negative effect on one's adherence to the scientific method!

  • @nosorab3 That's exactly what he was trying to accomplish. He was looking for a cure for his condition, and was using the Baboon that had survived the teleportation process earlier in the film.

  • Just wait & see. Your brain's gonna work this into your next dream!

  • is genetic interference/engineering any different really?

I don't think so. It's a huge mistake that will eventually kill millions and not just one stupid scientist.

  • @Photonzos

Yes, it is. We have already feed millions of people through genetically engineering crops to grow in new climates.

Norman Borlaug saved one billion people with genetic manipulation.

We can use it to cure disease and make life better and we do in fact do that very thing.

It's called science, it's what you are using to communicate with me, we are the ones who need to be ethical in our implementation of science, but apparently we also need to get educated first.

    Good luck.

  • Jesus christ can you fucking imagine what the Animal right's personnel were thinking of this scene whilest monitoring the safety of the animals.

  • @XlansteelX they probably can tell the difference between latex and baboons.

  • Why did they delete this from the movie? It's a brilliantly fucked-up scene, I think.

  • @samisyosam because they thought that it wouldn't make seth sympathetic

  • One fine day with a buzz and a zap, a monstrosity was born and that was that!

  • If Brundle took time to transform after the teleportation, instead of coming out the pod immediately as half-human half-fly, the same should apply to baboon and cat. It's good they deleted this because it's inconsistent.

  • @MoonwalkerWorshiper Speaking strictly for movie-science, of course, consider the same-ness in the Baboon/cat body mass/genetics. However, Brundle was human, and his DNA spliced with an insect of vastly different mass/genetic functions/species. I suppose this could account for the fact the baboon/cat was spliced instantly while the Brundle-fly took time to transform.

  • @chocolatedevil169 Maybe but there's also another inconsistency to be aware of, the fact that the baboon and cat had both their heads left in each end after their transformation while Brundle basically remained 1 head and 4 extremeties. A fly certainly doesn't have four 4 extremeties, it had wings aswell. That's were the genetics work differently. One excuse could've been that Brundle had been changing the computers since his own transformation but I doubt he could work.

  • @MoonwalkerWorshiper Yeah. What can I say, movie science is fun.

  • NO! MONKEYCAT DIE?!...

  • Holy fuck!! That would have gotten people puking for that scene alone. Brilllaint use of effects and music overall. This flick overall is the most underraterd flick I have ever seen.

  • @MrTantraMan TOTALLY AGREE!!!

  • woah talk about giving me sexual relief

  • 0:27 deliberately bad science trollface

  • @illuminatioracle lol i thought the same thing xD

  • Thumbs up if you said "Oh what the hell!!" at 1:04 when it shows the cat. P.S. I have not seen the movie yet only when the fly pukes on that guys hand and leg.

  • ...Only one thing ot say, I loled when he beat that baboon....

  • Could someone tell me what font is used on the computer sequence?

  • This scene was too nasty (monkeycat) & darkly humorous (getting rid of an extra appendage, ...) to take out regardless of the rationale or excuse. A baboon is not docile to begin with, a cat is a mammal & can get aggressive instantly when spooked by being fused with another animal like a baboon. No actual animals were hurt, though the actor spent a long time in uncomfortable make-up.

  • I'm glad they did delete this scene. It's pointless!

  • It doesn't make sense: how can you get a mean animal out of two docile animals? Where did the mean element come from? "I wanna live!" You can make a docile animal more aggressive by merging it with a more aggressive animal, but starting with two docile animals...

  • @aikido8888 It is prolly begging for death

  • Dr. Brundle was happy that the cruelty to fucked up mutated animals laws had yet to be conceptualized

  • If only flim makers took time and dedication to make their movies nowa days :(

  • Cool movie

  • Cool!!!!

  • Smart enough to build a teleporter, but not smart enough to build one with a WINDOW on the receiver. No wonder things went wrong.

  • @matthewdkaufman watch the movie mate... there were three telepods in the movie, the one without the window was the prototype and was only bought back into use once he started the gene splicing experiment. the 2 pods used for main teleportation both have windows.

  • thats some freaky shit

  • I must say....complete success in my opinion

  • you see, when your sanity has been crushed to the point that you do such a sadistic monstrosity to your pet, and your body mutates into growing an insect appendage, i think it's time to kill yourself.

  • THANK GOODNESS THEY DELETED THIS SCENE. It would have been so inhumane with the animals and SOOOO Gross with him mutating.

  • THANK GOODNESS THEY DELETED THIS SCENE. It would have been so inhumane!

  • his FACE!

  • It's a special Easteren delicay: Steamy Bab-coon! XD

  • i understand why this is a deleted scene

, that catboon/babbcat puppet was hilarious.

  • DAMN SON!!! how did he get his neck to stretch to where he couled amputate it with his teeth??? I was reading about that and wondering....

he had parts of it in his mouth still...I bet he was like:

"so thats what I taste like??? I TASTE LIKE ASS!!! BLEH!!!" XD

  • I like how he's all spiderman on the roof. I mean t=yeah he can stick to walls but the way he posed on the edge of a building. XD

  • I love the city backdrop around the 4 minute mark. It's almost like a reminder - life is going on out there. People, just like you and me, are working in their offices, eating dinner in a restaurant, taking baths or watching TV, and meanwhile, on the other side of town exists Brundlefly, caught up in this cauldron of genetic horrors, his life slipping away into this crazy abyss of abused science. We never truly know what our next door neighbor could be up to.

  • brundle fly was researching how to use the third telepod to save himself. in the movie, he only uses 2 telepods

  • hope the poor fuck made it lol

  • I haven't seen this movie-

Did he decide that he was too hot for clothes or something? Like... what?

  • @Ryuhza He is a scientist who has had one of his experiments go terribly wrong and he is trying to figure a way to get back to being "normal".

  • @StillSpy

Oh I know the premise- I'm just wondering if there's a particular reason he stops wearing clothes. .___.

  • @Ryuhza his skin is probabbly burning from the rot.

  • @Shadowdwellerblake

Yuck! Thanks for the feasible answer. :]

  • @Ryuhza I am pretty sure it became pretty hard to fit into clothes at the later stages of his transformation, (and the silly answer would be to say the movie wouldn't have been as creepy if he just wore hoodies all the time ;D )

  • what was the point of fusing the monkey and cat

  • OH MY GOD

  • I laughed so much!!! Man, I love that movie...

  • Why couldn't brundle just teleport himself again and tell the computer to remove the fly genes.. It already has an uncontaminated copy of his original DNA in its memory..

  • @knowpassword Think of a sponge. It absorbs water. He asked the computer if he absorbed the fly, if so then it would be possible to remove it. However he fused with it, meaning that his DNA changed too, so that would be impossible. Now think of that play-doh stuff. You can mix it together, but once you do you can't get the base colours back, because they fused together. Sorry if my explaination sucks. I'm not good at this.

And to think I watched this during my meal. Imma go throw up now.

  • Watch some cat come along and eat that claw.

  • This is very ugly and gore!

  • HAHAHAH this is Gore

  • @Trill104 Actually, there was s deleted when a bum comes across him right after this deleted scene. He attacks them and melts their face off, then begins to suck off the remains. But it was only scripted, thinking it would've been too graphic. However, they brought that back as a surprise attack with his son against a bum security guard in The Fly 2.

  • AL MINUTO 4.00 ....LO QUE SENTIREMOS TODOS EN DETERMINADO MOMENTO DE NUESTRA VIDA...QUE NOS ESTA LLEVANDO LA CHINGADA Y LO QUEREMOS NEGAR HASTA A NOSOTROS MISMOS...NO!....NO!...NNOOO!!!...NNNOOOOOOOO!!!

    ....Y madres,nos cargara la chingada.

  • 0:26 amy winehouse and gary shandling must have gotten into the booth together

  • That's gross.

  • There's new insect steroid hormones on the market now. I cant wait to mutate !!

  • Um....I understand how he got the cat....but where did he get the baboon?!

Also...I wonder if the creatures of CatDog saw this deleted scene and that's where they came up with the idea....Hmmm....

  • @ZeksterMesker The baboon was his pet.

  • @fanblow ooooooOOOoooooooooooohh

  • @ZeksterMesker "Bartok industries" is the name of the scientific research company who funds his projects, he uses 2 baboons in the movie, first monkey he turns inside-out trying to teleport it (which imo is more gross than the mon-cat). The second baboon teleported with no problems the first time, but he fucked it up when he ported it with the cat. My guess is that all animals were supplied by the research company funding his project. to my knowledge there are no scenes with a pet cat either

  • I'm so glad they deleted this from the finished movie. It makes the character so unlikeable after seeing this, like he's being cruel to animals, but I also understand that he is losing he sanity at the same time, so maybe it's not really his fault...

    Great Movie!

  • Someone call the ASPCA!

  • They should've shown a bum coming across that leg like WTF!

  • oooooohh thats naaaaaaaste

  • Ahahahaha this scene destroys the concept of the movie.

You know he fuses with the fly, but the baboon and the cat just stuck together.

In this logic, in the fist time when he uses the teleport with the fly, it would be just glued in his head or his ass, just like a wart.

  • kill it with fire

  • I laughed my tits off

  • "Gone awry". Fuck, understatement of the year.

  • @Miunni lol

  • @Miunni things are slightly below specs.

  • @Miunni

It was cut because the audience reacted very negatively to it. They thought that Seth was just being cruel, when in reality it was an experiment. Also, one women in a test screening apparently threw up during the sequence as well. In the end, Cronenberg decided that the scene went too far for most audience members and decided to cut it. He has admitted that he thinks it is a very good sequence.

  • 2:41 This is a brilliant idea actually. You can spank the monkey and pound pussy at the same time.

And they said you could only do one or the other. They all laughed at him when he said he could do both, but Seth Brundle showed them. Science!

  • @BelieveIt1051 No, No. Brundlefly**

  • @BelieveIt1051 Very witty very good

  • @BelieveIt1051 LMAO!

  • I feel so bad for brundle..

  • this is very ironic he used a cat as a test subject along with a babboon. cause in the oringal 1950's the fly he used a cat as his test subject for his teleportation machine and it actually suceeded.

  • Yummy, that's good.

  • That was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. I mean the animals part. Poor creatures. The other part was sweet!

  • I am glad that this scene wasn't in the movie......

  • I really hate that mist effect, right before they reveal a monstrosity to the audience.

  • A great opportunity was missed. He had the baboon-thing in his arms, he should have strangled it while crying (I Am Legend). Instead he chases it with a stick??

  • O_o!! wow! toasted! why they took out this part!! It's coool!!

  • wieso kenn ich das nicht...fuck

  • 9 months after a cat meets a baboon at a party, THIS is the result.

  • The baboon cat thing makes the shit weasel look normal...

  • Cronenberg has done well to remove these scenes

  • woah

  • I really like this scene, especially the rooftop part. Sad they didn't make an extended version of the movie with this...

  • Seth- "I just saw something bop out of my stomach. . . LET'S POCK IT!! :D"

  • This Scene Was So Crazy I Don't Know Why They Didn't Add It To The Movie! It Kinda Scared Me! :(

  • You just do not get this level of special effects anymore. Sure more or the motion with puppetry isn't the greatest, but you get a better sense of realism with non-CGI effects. The Original Star Wars Trilogy, The Fly, and The Thing are my favorite old movies. CGI has it's place in some areas, like cinematic views of planet landscapes in Star Wars, but Yoda should have remained a puppet, though the Ep1 Yoda puppet looked bad.

  • this shit looks like catdog

  • Why the fuck does he say no no no

    theres no rime or resion

  • @slasherdude100 Really, he is turning into a mutant fly before his very eyes and there is absolutley NOTHING he could do about it. I'd be scared/pissed as well.

  • @slasherdude100 My best guess is that the Fly part of him was tempted to go out into the city and do something and he was trying to reassert the authority of his human self to resist that temptation

  • Awww, that animal's really cute!

  • Good thing he didn't try to fuse a cat and a dog.

It would have chased itself up a tree...

  • I made the mistake of watching this film while eating pasta bake, nom nom

  • Seth: "No! No! No!"

Civilian: "Some of us are tryin' to sleep down here!"

  • I R BABOON!!

  • I don't really get grossed out this still one of the most disgusting movies I've seen. Good movie just really gross is all...

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA what in tarnation.....

  • oh lord. Seeing Goldbloom beat the shit out of the abomination with a steel pipe was way too silly to leave in the movie. the first baboon scene captured the perfect amount of shock and horror. I too am glad they cut this scene. But I love the following sequence as he struggles with his wall crawling abilities. beats spider man any day. And the fly arm... EEeeeWWWWWWW

  • The part when he beats the shit out of the baboon-cat hybrid would have made him unlikable, I think that's why they had this removed.
