Really he wasn't the same actor as b4. Mary Beth and Stephen had to learn sign language b4 when Kayla was deaf. But wow, they showed a clip of little Benji and the adult actor was on at the time I to thought it was the same.
Funny, watching this years later, Benji really was a good story device for Steve and Kayla. Kayla identified with the deafness; Steve identified with being abandoned and alone. If only they had made it more of a real story and didn't get all crazy with the Stefano stuff.

Darrell Utley, who played Benji as a child, is really deaf. The actor who recently played the adult Benji, as far as I know, is not.
