Lex Luger's life has been a sad story, it's been said that it served inspiration for the movie "The Wrestler", but it probably is worse. Luger used to be 1 of the strongest men on the planet, and he's now almost cripped. That, combined with jail time, the loss of Elizebeth, and who knows what else proves he's had a very tough life. I badly hope he is inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame next year, and a DVD release would be nice to. Godspeed, Luger.

funny..with Hulk Hogan leaving the WWF, Vince needed a new babyface for him to feud with. So he took Luger from a Narcissistic Heel who was in love with himself..to a red white and blue babyface. Luger was supposed to be the next Hulk Hogan..but he ended up screwing that up.

you're right on that story. It was the night before Wrestlemania 10 actually. Him beating Yoko via count out was to propel him to Mania, as you said, he got drunk in a bar and blabbed that he was to beat Yoko, one of the people included was a newspaper reporter. So Vince changed the story around and punished Luger by having him lose. He never again reached main event status in WWF.

You konw what's funny about it. Watch Bret Hart DVD. Lex Lugar didnt blow up because Bret Hart complain to Vince about Lugar being ahead of him with this gimmack. Thats why Lugar never won the title at WM10. Bret was suppost to feud with Owen til Survivor Serious. While Lex Lugar being the reigning champion.
