one thing tho, how would I loop it? I'd like to use the end result as my desktop background/animated wallpaper and I need it to loop.. can I put key frames in the middle and in the beginning, then clone the beginning key frames and place them at the end ..or is there a better way?

@KotsChopShop there is a way to loop your video. First set up your scene the way you like. Then under Render Options there is a "Loop Time (S)" setting. Change that value to how many seconds long you want your clip to be. For example if you want it to loop at 5 seconds just set the value to 5. Hope this helps

They put the presets in a weird place and it doesn't seem to work right away, but if you move them up one level on your folder you'll be able to see them. So do a search for "Carribbean (RCOL).apr" - this is a preset that will be in an "underwater" folder, somewhere on your computer (I'm on a mac, so mine was Shared>Red Giant>Psunami>Psunami>Underwat­er). If you take the preset out of the underwater folder and put it in the folder above it "Psunami", the plug-in will recognize it. HopeThisHelps

@jaimonee Hey mate, my tsunami plug in works in AE CS5 great but my presets don't work. I can select them from the drop down but I can't press the go button to apply them. I tried the solution you put here but it didn't work. I've looked all over the net for days. Got any other ideas? :(

Nice tutorial! Very nice effect!

One tip to improve the rendering time: If you precompose the water layer before duplicating it, it should reduce the render time. Since you are only applying an effect to the second water layer and not changing the water parameters, there is no need to generate the same water twice. If you precompose it, it will compute the water layer once and use that output for both layers. It should improve the render time quite a bit.
