@del885 Powered exoskeleton prototypes existed in the 50's so stfu about "stealing" it from Japan. It's a completely different control mechanism anyways. The HAL suit reads muscle signals (least the early versions), this is controlled entirely by the force you apply to the handles and shoes.

Also Japan relies on our military to keep that region from blowing up. They're not allowed to have a full-blown military anymore and it's not because they're peaceniks. Read your history books!
