My grandpa was a 35F and says he loves it and never regrets it. It seems like a really cool job being involved in Intelligence things that people can't see but you can, it definitely gives you the feeling that your super important (which you are).
This is my MOS. Hopefully I will be one of the few females with this MOS. Ship date is 5-23-11 for reception. then 5-31-2011 is when it all really begins.
At least you’re getting to mop floors and fill out logs. I usually get stuck with busy work. My work flow normally involves all facets of lawn care, IE sweeping the grass, mopping the grass, using window cleaner on the grass, and yes cleaning the dog shit off the grass with chop sticks. But take solace in knowing you cleaned up the toilets of justice. No democratic society can function with turds in a pooper. “never kick a fresh turd on a hot day”
@boofatty2 Boofatty2. I wish you luck in your cab driving endeavors. You will have more then enough experience from your time driving long distances in 5 Tons and HUMVEES that are filled with heavy equipment, most of which is unnecessary for the day’s events. It will be of particular use when you eventually pick up fat people in the back of your cab.

@boofatty2 That shit just depends on the unit. If you actually do the MOS it's pretty fun and opens up a lot of career oportunities. I myself was a 35F and am now working at a 3 letter intelligence agency.

James bond my ass. 90% of the units in the army your going to get screwed PMCSing humvees and 5 Tons followed by processing security clearances for hours on end. I am more or less a half way between a secretary and a manual laborer. This MOS is an open invitation towards manual labor and a never ended set of tasks that will certainly include sweeping the parking lot and mopping the grass.
@develown You eventually haven't moved up on the food chain otherwise you'd realize that there is more to our job than this. You wouldn't know this job if it bit you in the ass!! And if you actually listened to him, he said he kinda felt like James Bond not that he is James Bond. Apparently the part you saw was at the lower echelons. When you get to the MACOMs you will do a lot more unless you can't hack.
@sabrewolf1978 I am an E-6 who works at theater level and I hate to break it to you, but I still get tasked to clean the latrines on a regular basis. Last time I cleaned the female latrines there was the most disgusting diarrhea in one of the toilets that some bitch didn’t want to flush. I don’t get paid enough to deal with diarrhea. Only sign up for this job if you like to clean up shit, literally, shit.
@develown I am also an E6 and I have never had to clean any latrines and I've worked from BN to MACOM. I've been doing it for 12 years and nevere once had to do it. And literally details come with every MOS not just ours. Now when I was in BDE, I was the Field Santiation NCOIC as a SPC, I had to do it while in Iraq. It's really not all that bad and every duty station is what you make of it, my friend.
@develown Well, yeah, you're describing Army life in general though. If you ever manage to get a 4 year degree, you can take your experience to DIA or something.
