You are right about the killing yourself angle. However, this plays into the main reasoning for the whole plot line for this series. I watched this a few months ago. Aum is again spectacular. Aff is also just as good. They play together so well. Don't stop watching just because of the first thing. It gets much better. You will love it by the end. Added bonus....Aum with no shirt on!! Super YUM!!!

I love this movie so much especially Aum and Aff... its been 10 years now that i stop watching Thai lakon cuz of my busy life but I got to admit this one is superb.. this story played once.. but it's nice to watch it over again with new actors...
I absolutely love and adore this lakorn, this is like the 7 th time i've watched this. This was my first Aum drama ever and he did a fantastic job, i've been watching all his lakorns ever since, well not all but 12 or 13 of them! LOL
but i hate it when people kill themselves for some stupit love. i think that people should move on to find someone new in their lives..........someone who will love them and apriciate them, then the other person.

It is good. Sometimes it kind of drags...but this show doesn't really do that. This isn't really your typical Play Kidnap movie; you should watch this. Not only did the guy got the wrong girl, he tortured her. You wouldn't know until you watch. :)

I do share his feeling of loss of his brother. It must be a shock for anyone in his place and in this situation. This opening part gives reasonable grounds for the behavior and actions of all the characters in the lakorn. Good opening.

Same as me. It's really a lakorn full of charm of all its components. It has uniqueness in many ways that make it different and superior to other thai lakorns. Still no other lakorn can beat JLR in my heart. I also hope for JLR 2.

Hi, maddysay, an update from my last comment. Aum's book does not tell anything about whether he's full Thai. Some of his hardcore fans say he has some British descent (and the real aum as I used to see really looks like a westerner, especially his nose and complextion) and some say he has some Chinese descent (like many Thai actors/actresses). He himself never gives any interview about this.

The song title is the same as the lakorn, Jam Loey Rak (Defendant of Love). It's the theme song of the lakorn. The song is now some 40-50 years old, the same as the novel "Jam Loey Rak", on which 7-8 versions of movies and TV dramas have been remade for the past 5 decades, and for every version, this song has remained the theme song (though sung by different singers). It's a really everlasting song.

Since JLR, I've found thai lakorns more interesting than I felt in the past. JLR has made me turn back to thai lakorns again after several years lack of interest. Today it's still my favorite. I rewatch it like crazy. So addicted to JLR and aum/aff.
I've watched JLR over n over again and not got bored at all. Love this lakorn so much. Love aum & aff the most. They will have another lakorn together in mid september. Its title is Botan Gleep Sudtai. Wishboniko channel has updated news about the new lakorn. It's very interesting. Can't wait for it to air.
Some may consider JLR a slap and kiss lakorn but I'd like to instead call it a romantic lakorn of different perspectives. Even in some so-called sadist moments, you can find some cute and romantic ingredients in it.

I've watched JLR lakorn for more than 70 times now and JLR mv for nearly that number, and still can't get enough of harit & soraya / aum & aff. Many touching scenes in the lakorn are still alive in my mind. It's really a very memorable lakorn that can be seen as a masterpiece of aum and aff.

Aum has won the best actor of the year from Nine Entertain Awards 2008 for his performances in 3 lakorns (JLR, Badan Jai and BGST) last year.

Same as me. It's really a lakorn full of charm of all its components. It has uniqueness in many ways that make it different and superior to other thai lakorns. Still no other lakorn can beat JLR in my heart. I also hope for JLR 2.

i love this lakorn. love aff and aum. i have my own copies of this lakorn, yet i still watch in here ,too. it more understandable in here 'cause it is subbed and my vcd no sub.

Same as me, I have 1 copy of VCD and 1 copy of DVD of JLR of my own. But I still love to watch wishboniko's subbed version as her translation is very nice. Also love to read all the comments related to JLR and aum&aff.

Hi, maddysay, an update from my last comment. Aum's book does not tell anything about whether he's full Thai. Some of his hardcore fans say he has some British descent (and the real aum as I used to see really looks like a westerner, especially his nose and complextion) and some say he has some Chinese descent (like many Thai actors/actresses). He himself never gives any interview about this.

The song title is the same as the lakorn, Jam Loey Rak (Defendant of Love). It's the theme song of the lakorn. The song is now some 40-50 years old, the same as the novel "Jam Loey Rak", on which 7-8 versions of movies and TV dramas have been remade for the past 5 decades, and for every version, this song has remained the theme song (though sung by different singers). It's a really everlasting song.

Does anyone know how to get to JLR with Chinese subs. My friend's mom (though living in Thailand) cannot understand Thai would like to watch it with Chinese subs but I don't have the idea how to get there. I guess Chinese fans in general may watch JLR with English subs (like wishy's subbed works) but the mom cannot understand English too. Thanks for your help.

Since JLR, I've found thai lakorns more interesting than I felt in the past. JLR has made me turn back to thai lakorns again after several years lack of interest. Today it's still my favorite. I rewatch it like crazy. So addicted to JLR and aum/aff.

Its title is Botan Gleep Sudtai. Wishboniko channel has updated news about the new lakorn. It's very interesting. Can't wait for it to air.

Some may consider JLR a slap and kiss lakorn but I'd like to instead call it a romantic lakorn of different perspectives. Even in some so-called sadist moments, you can find some cute and romantic ingredients in it.

The intro or theme song of this drama is named the same as the drama "Jam Loey Rak." It was written some 50 years ago, as old as the novel Jam Loey Rak. This drama is a remake (some 7-8 remakes for the past 50 years). The song has always been put in the JLR remakes as the theme song. The original of this song was sung by K. Sawalee Phakaphan (National Artist). It is one of Thailand's everlasting songs. (Look for related vdo, wishboniko made a subbed vdo of it.)

I've watched JLR lakorn for more than 70 times now and JLR mv for nearly that number, and still can't get enough of harit & soraya / aum & aff. Many touching scenes in the lakorn are still alive in my mind. It's really a very memorable lakorn that can be seen as a masterpiece of aum and aff.
