I wanna say that this was a fun day and one I won't likely forget!

There's a backstory to this video.

First of all I can't stand hot food! My rule is the hottest thing I eat is icecream!

SO it became a challenge for my team and collegues to get me to eat the pepper.

Eventually I stupidly said I'd do it for $100. Overnight people came out of the woodworks to get the money together mostly because they wanted to see me burn. It burned!

Now. In response to some of the posts.

It's not an act of toughness! I consider myself tough.. but I consider THIS an act of stupidity. I wouldn't do it again if they payed me $200. Just not worth it.

If ya count the seconds in the video, I lasted 8 seconds chewing. Length of time chewing or before drinking was never part of the deal. I chewed and swallowed the pepper and got something to cut the burn fast as possible. You would too with $100 on the line!

Give us a break. I've seen little girls eat those with their lunch. It tastes great in guacamole and stews. This guy is a wimp. Use 3medium tomatoes, 3 habaneros, 1 medioum white onion, a little garlic powder and salt and chop it up very fine (or use a blender) a couple of table spoons of water, put on the stove on high heat and when it boils it's done. Break out the chips...great salsa...

Um, eating hot peppers has nothing to do with being tough, silly. If you eat hot pepper regularly you become chemically tolerant to it, so food that somebody else might find untolerably spicy might just feel mild to you.

When you get down to it, if you're not accustomed to hot peppers, eating a habanero is a pretty stupid thing to do. Eat something milder. Habanero peppers have a really awesome flavor and smell, but you have to work your way up to them.
