  • What a hypocritcal YouTuber name for a channel! MormonLoveFamilies alright, unless the families happen to have gay parents, and, then, Mormons want to see those families stripped of all their legal and human rights in the same manner that Nazis wanted to see Jewish families stripped of all their legal and human rights during the 1930's.

  • There are those at SLCC who belong to the LDS church and attend regularly; there are also those who do not know more than the two twenty-something year-old missionaries with nametags who knock on their doors a lot. Whatever the opinion is, available at SLCC campuses through the Institute of Religion is the opportunity for all students to learn more of the truth behind "the church" (as many in Utah often call it) so that opinion can turn into knowledge.

  • Whether it be good, bad, ugly or somewhere in the middle, just about every person who lives in the state of Utah has an opinion about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS).

  • For two days beginning Friday, Frederic's nativity will be on display alongside 350 others at Liberty Chapel in Colorado Springs as part of the Christmas Creche Exhibit and Concerts.

The free event, presented by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will also include choir music and 15-minute nativity re-enactments by actors.

  • @omiolo Free is affordable.

  • Sponsored by the San Dieguito Interfaith Ministerial Association, this North County event featured spiritual readings and music from various faiths, such as the San Diego Mormon Choir and Orchestra, the Del Mar Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Bahá'í Faith community of Encinitas. Encinitas Councilwoman Maggie Houlihan introduced the night's speakers.

  • "I saw a man on crutches," Elder Grow said. "I learned he is in constant pain, like his body is on fire day and night. What really impressed me was his huge smile and how he never complained. What began as a casual conversation with a member of the church became a life-changing experience for someone who was seeking the truth. Each of us needs to be sensitive to those opportunities."

  • @omiolo Let the Holy Spirit guide us.

  • Starting in the late 1980s, he started compiling the names of passengers from shipping rosters and travelers on wagon company rosters. While the Mormon-charter ship lists were fairly accurate, the wagon company rosters weren't — Bashore estimated a third were complete, another third partial at best and the final of the companies without any roster.

  • He remembers watching patrons more than 30 years ago enter the old Church History Library, hoping to research pioneer ancestors. The primary resource then was an error-laden, century-old index requiring hours and hours of invested time, so Bashore — in addition to his regular duties — created a lengthy bibliography of journals and lists of trans-Atlantic and wagon company rosters.

  • It was a warm Christmas, made even warmer by the day's activities. The Mormon pioneers spent their first Christmas in the Salt Lake Valley working. Some gathered sagebrush for fires. Others plowed fields. Some hunted rabbits. Others worked on their tiny cabins.

  • Christmas 1847 in Salt Lake Valley was full of warmth, gratitude

  • I have wept in the night

    For the shortness of sight

    That to somebodys need made me blind;

    But I never have yet

    Felt a tinge of regret

For being a little too kind

  • Many years ago I heard a poem which has stayed with me, by which I have tried to guide my life. Its one of my favorites:

  • Everyone should spend more time with their families, not just Mormons. :)

  • @explorelds Very good point.

  • thelordpr - you say the most rediculous, racist asumtions about Mormons. You need to really learn about them. Your glareing ignoranace is showing.

  • The Mafia practices blood atonement to family members that want to leave, that's what Brigham Young of BYU taught too. That you should WANT your blood atoned and that is the way to love your neighbor. Open your eyes and see. Jesus set up equality, but Mormonism sets up patterns of the world of raising up men and praising them instead of God. And killing those or outcasting those who wont submit to the men they praise. You look just like the world and nothing like the Church Jesus established.

  • thelordpr,

I would like you to know that God loves you. He loves you so much, He sent His only Begotten Son.

Families are a place where love can be multiplied.

  • Then why are the non Mormon mothers of converted Mormon brides not allowed at the temple wedding ceremony. and why are non-Mormon mothers of Mormon convert brides not allowed to take care of the gandbabies? hmmmmm? That's not family values, it's family manipulation. Open your eyes.

  • thelorpr:

I think you know the answer to that especially if you read the Bible.

I want you to know God loves you. He loves you with a love that I would call perfect. Please embrace that love. A great place to learn and practice Christ like love is within the family.

  • I believe that you're a loving person. Or maybe you're good at pretending to be because if you don't they're going to kick you out of the church. In the old days they would call that "Danites" which were a group of thugs to either beat you up or kill you - same way they do it in Mob families. It's still about control. I love you too. But I want you to be set free. Be free.

  • thelordpr:

I wish you nothing but love and happiness in your life.

    Look to God and live.

  • I wish you the same and will pray for you. That's the reason I have to point out that what you are saying is in error. God crated man and woman and He said four times in the Bible, man shall leave his father and mother and cling to his wife (a.k.a. family) and the two (2) shall become one. The only reason there is polygamy in our country today is because of Mormonism. And the Mormon value system is based on appearances & religious addiction. Focus on appearance or addiction is the worst!

  • "The only reason there is polygamy in our country today is because of Mormonism"

obviously you have NEVER heard of the Cochranites. But knowledge was never a strong point of yours.

  • "never a strong point of yours" are you saying you've known me? You're making an assumption. Continue living by these kinds of assumptions you'll forever be lead by deception. You have to stop and think for a moment. Mormonism means getting to a false god through works. Mormonism means trying harder after all you've tried - those are the things added to the scriptures copied out of the Bible - after giving it all you've got. Mormonism is praising man and trying to receive praise from man.

  • "You're making an assumption"

    NOPE

I am making a characterization based on evidence. Based on the wacko and bizarre stuff you constantly post on youtube.

You are deceived. You ignore the facts and desperately try to throw mud and hope it sticks.

  • Mormon means Racist. Is your skin "white and delightsome" as promised by the Book Of Mormon if you keep all the rules. Mormon means lots of things, but it doesn't mean family. It wants to mean family so that it can rob you of ten percent of your income if you're desperate for family. But it doesn't mean family. There are legends that Mormo is an ancient other god, worshipped by pagans that controls through fear. Are you controlled through fear. Yep. Does control through fear mean family?

  • "Mormon means Racist"

    tell that to Gladys Knight!

  • Black people weren't even allowed to have the priesthood until 1978 when the the "true" church almost lost their 501(c)3 status for discrimination.

  • "Black people weren't even allowed to have the priesthood until 1978"

tell that to Elijah Abel, his son and his grandson.

BTW, Elijah Abel was a former slave (that means he is black if you are from ANTImormon land)

  • Jesus Christ, the Messiah, a Jew probably did not have skin that was "white and delightsome." Have you thought about that? There should be no focus on skin color. Yet right there in the Book of Mormon you have people with skin color being put down because of skin color and nothing else. The Book of Mormon clearly states that if your character is sinless your skin will be white and delightsome. Don't deceive yourself.

  • "did not have skin that was "white and delightsome." "

either did many of the Lamanites who were described as the MOST righteous people ever in the Book of Mormon.

I fail to see your race baiting point!

  • @thelordpr you kinds of disappear. I am assuming personal problems?

  • You need to really learn about Mormons before you start spouting ignorant asumtions. If you don't like this site go to your own retoric driven site and spew at other anti-mormom, hate mongering "progressives"!

  • The book of Mormon has a strong emphasis on SKIN COLOR. Skin color means nothing okay. White skin and black skin is not an issue with God. But it is an issue with Mormons. Open your eyes. Mormonism is about discrimination and control. Mormonism is not about family.

  • NO it is not an issue with Mormons. It is an issue with you however. You need to really learn about Mormons.

  • You do not know about Mormonism. You don't even know what you are talking about. You are just spewing anti retoric.

  • Have you wondered where your tithe is going? They don't tell you, do they? No they don't. Well your tithe goes to prevent you from finding out the truth about the Mormons. Read the history of the church. Joseph Smith died in a gun battle trying to escape from jail and he killed two people before he himself was killed. The Mormons tell that he was died for his faith. His faith made him smuggle in a gun and try to escape from jail by shooting his way out. If Mormonis "Family" its mob family.

  • No I haven't wondered, I already know and there are many places on-line that explain what it is used for. I also know LDS Church History. You really do not know of what you speak. You are ignorant!! You have no place on this or any other "Mormon" site spewing anti rhetoric. Get Educated girl! You sound like a teeneboper mad at mommy and Daddy spewing hate monger rhetoric. Like you say, you come from liers.Mormond are about family!

  • Mormons have paid millions to create propaganda that says that Mormons are about families. That's they're latest and greatest marketing push. That's how they rake in lonely people and get control of your minds.

  • By the way, I'm a seventh generation Mormon. My ancestors started the church. They were liars, theives, racisist, egotistical control freaks who justified their activities with Mormon teachings. That's what Mormonism will do to you. Be set free. Do not let some organization of control freaks run your life in the name of God. You're not looking for the "true church", you're looking for the "true God." Don't take your eyes off God. Ask yourself what kind of God the Mormons follow.

  • IF this is what you think then YOU are not Mormon. You really need to Learn what the LDS Church really teaches. SO far you have only proved to be a seventh genereation of liars, theives, racists and control freaks.

  • thelordpr,

I want you to know God loves you and wants you to be happy. God doesn't want you to fight against Him, but to embrace Him and His truth.

After you embrace God you will see a difference in your self. Why? Because God is love.

  • Humans who call themselves Mormons love families. But Mormonism doesn't mean family. Millions of your tithe dollars are spent trying to convince you that Mormon means family. But what does Mormon teachings do to the black sheep? Hmmmmmm? 0utcast with a Capitol ZERO. Okay. That's not Christian by the original Christ. Mormon means you are what you do. Mormon means doing becomes being, which is a lie. It's just the reverse of Christianity. In Christianity you be God's child in order to do.

  • thelordpr,

    God still loves you.

  • Mormons are Christian, in fact they are the ENSIGN of such.

I realize that upsets you, probably to the point of rage.

But the truth is the truth!

  • The Mafia loves families too. That's the way that keep control of others.

  • thelordpr,

God does not want to control you. He wants you to learn to love. Families are a great place to develop and expand on love.

  • I think families are very important.

That is one of the many things I love about the Mormon religion. We practice what we preach.

  • @omiolo1 Families are very important and key to our Heavenly Father's plan.
