  • You could do some extra money selling this master pieces of Synth Patch Programing!....

You´re awesome!... Just tell me... How can I get them?.

  • I love his demos but the clips and video distortion makes me crazy; I'm just interested in the f:ing synth demos; I need to concentrate on the synth in order to decide a purchase! LOL

Keep them coming without the clip-ins because your doing a great work, Jexus! :-)

  • @Aetila He's just adding some artistry and personal character to his clips! Jexus i love it don't change your style, clips or synth playing/programming for anyone you are perfect.

  • I own this and a Waldorf Q which make perfect complements to each other. The JX brings just enough analog, straightforward grit to the party while the Q brings that unpredictable, clean, precise digital powerhouse that can be used for literally anything. *sigh* I'll never need another synth again.

  • lol at picture quality n00bs

  • *On purpose

  • YouTube screwed up the video, it jumps! lol

  • @Aetila Lawl, its in purpose, makes the video sick....

  • Hi Olo!

It would be really cool if you could do a demo of Roland D50 + it programer the PG 1000

and it would be even cooler to see and hear what a master like you can do with the D50 and the PG 1000 :-)

Love your demos, keep up the good work................

  • damn you have a pg800, me wants it

  • it's a shame about the picture quality but good demonstration

  • @MrTamiya89 It's made on purpose....

  • oh ok

  • @MrTamiya89 Uhhhhh.... Are you freaking high? It's intentional. It's called a post-modernistic retro look, and requires a very talented bit of editing. Olo- Good job, man, as always!

  • A totally unique and different beast than any other Roland, yet a very powerful and fat analog synthesizer, this is one of my all times favorites!

  • i know a school that has one of these colecting dust in their music room. its such a beautiful sounding instrument. but its broken, how sad.

  • wow!

  • I saw you playing all those sounds of your keyboards, and you play FANTASTIC!

    Man, you're really good!

  • Awesome sound! Big and phat! It's cool, but I still like the old Jupiter and Juno. Gotta twiddle the knobs and switches.

  • Most creative synth demo on youtube. More like an arty short film.

  • I love this much!

  • WOW..... 90´S MOVIES! I LOVE IT!

  • Ah maaan 6:50 - worth buying the synth just for that sound.

  • I wanna have the money to buy this wonderful and amazing synthesizer with the programmer...

  • How do you get the degraded effect? Actual 30 year old VHS tape?

  • great video!! nice

  • An underrated machine. Killed by it's "interface from hell". Only with the optional programmer, it suddenly starts to come alive! (and guess what is the most expensive and hard to get a hold of 2nd hand??)

  • well to me its like a 8 voice juno 60....

  • @soundmanhaven1

"well to me its like a 8 voice juno 60."

Strange as it's only got 6 voices! (don't let the 8P fool ya). I've got an 8P and a 3P - the 3P is far closer in sound to the Juno 60 cos they share the same filters, 8P is 'softer' less edgy. All different synths. Junos are over rated, JX's are under rated. JX-3P is the best JX though, then 8P.

Btw this works fine with a generic midi control box (BCR) no need for expensive PG800!

  • I like the way you splice the Robocop 80s type video clips into your videos m8 and the video aging effect and let me just say that you have made the jx8p sound easily as nice as the Juno 106, if not better.

  • any way to get the sound that starts at 7:18 out of a DX7?

  • @JohnnyMidnight1 Completely different types of synthesis. You'd need an analog or analog modeling synthesizer to make these sounds.

  • I think you' re really talented synth-player. Excellent play!!

  • i wish you never posted your vids, im going broke buying all these keyboards!

  • THAT WAS AWESOME! Great visuals indeed!!!

  • This is blew my mind. Incredible demo!!! If someone simply has blood in his veins should wish to have one os this....

In my country, there is only one guy selling a JX8P, who is asking... $1000.- but here every dollar is almost 4 time more expensive. In short, you find in an aution site a JX8P for $3800.- Is ab solutely sick, more considering in US you can get one for $300

  • I'm about to get one for $250. IT would be tought to get on a plane to europe, but then i could pay for the trip!?

  • Thats alot of money! This thing is really not worth that, it really is worth only 300 at the most... What country is this in?

  • if my mom and pop ever get a laptop ill have to buy myself a midi cable so i can load in some patches

  • This is so much more than just a synth demo.

    5:42 and 7:18 ...haunting!

  • wonderful sounds... I've got to change my mind about the JX8P!! (for some silly reason I always thought they were only good for brasses and pads)

  • Wild videos...A pleasure to view and listen.

  • dammit, jexus, your videos make me laugh a lot.

  • Great stuff... Love the Roland JXs (3P, 8P and Super JX), not so keen on the other 'name only' JX's though. Got the 3P and 8P and can't really get rid of either as they are both useful in different ways. :)

  • Reminds me to Miami Vice and Super Mario Bros. 1

  • it's neither mixer nor jesus. it's a timbre controller.

  • jesus

  • whats that mixer

  • Lizard, you mean the thing above the JX? It is a PG-800 controller, made to be used with a JX 8/10 for easier editing and realtime control. =D

  • This makes me wish I had money to buy a decent synth, Im stuff with the cheap ones for now :(

  • yo guy on ebay 100 BONES!

  • yet another great lo-fi vid from polend!

(i don't mean this in a synical way)

    who's that women @ 08:25 (Charles Milles Manson's girlfriend?)

  • Aileen Carol Wuornos - Female serial killer.

Killed seven men in Florida between 1989 and 1990.

  • nice ;)

  • she that serial killer where that movie MONSTER is based on . .

  • yeah, she fucking ruled

  • NIce showcasing of tne synth's charm. What's that little box to the right you toy with every now and then?

  • That's the optional PG-800 programmer box Roland made for this synth back in the 80's. It provides real time control over all the sound parameters at once, instead of having to dig through menus to get to only one parameter.

  • cool!

  • love this one - perfect back story

  • nice. i think this is my new favorite synth.

  • Oh this sounds great !

  • No offense, the tracking is off a bit, but none the less, everything is great. Can't expect much from a vintage camera ;)

  • Wha'cha talking about, tracking just fine ;)

  • Ya just gotta LOVE the VHS video, if the camera is vhs, it's awesome. Glad to know you have a working vintage camera :D

    Nice music! Fantastic playing!

  • Thankyou for your work ...showing us this great Machines, thank You!!

  • did you edit this on some uncalibrated 1980s video equipment or is this a Final Cut plugin?

  • You have the best synth demo videos on youtube. Cool synths and cool video editing.

  • A good friend of mine has one of these.

Really fun synth with the programmer, otherwise I bet it's a bit annoying. I love the random function on this one particularly.

  • Great demo, I've posted it on switchedonsynthesizer.blogspot . com

  • Another fun video showing off a great synth. The controller is a must for this synth. At the time the JX series came out the slider and knobs were disappearing because of cost and were replaced with multi screens. Thanks, that brought back many memories.

  • Brilliant video and original sounds! I do not think many are actually aware of how brutal these "cheap" old 80's synths can sound. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with the rest of the world. Amen

  • i'm not that kind of guy that can wait
