I think you did a great job, especially if this was done at a drama school.

You have a strong and beautiful voice -- maybe not the best song to show it off. Beware of pacing without destination. There's a lot of aimless, self-conscious wandering that has no relevance to the scene. Some criticized you on not having connection to the song. I feel that there was a small connection, but not a large enough one to feed the extraordinary circumstances in which the song takes place. Good job -- it's a hard song to do. Look forward to seeing more of your work.

You commented on the clips i have in "my favourites". I would argue, be it real or manufactured, the two singers you mentioned were very successful in making connection with their audience through their performances although i fully recognise the input of the "Cowell Factor"

I do wish you the best of luck with your careers and as a theatre fan, hope you have a long and successful run in live theatre.

One other point, i did come to this clip having surfed through YouTube researching the song, Send in the Clowns, as part of an essay i am writing on the power of music and song and its ability to evoke collective emotion in people.

There are many varied interpretations at both ends of the scale eg Elizabeth Taylor in the film version, at one end and Judi Dench's truly outstanding rendition, at the other.

Maybe you have a point. I apologise if i offended. I was though, saying it as I saw it.

This was a recording of a stage production. I wasn't in the auditorium watching it, soaking up the atmosphere created by live theatre, like some of your previous respondents, who obviously DID see it and enjoyed it. I stand corrected but beware the perils of posting theatre clips to be viewed on "the box" . It has to be done so skillfully, otherwise it just doesn't work. See DigitalTheatre

Sorry, this was just so wooden. Yes, she can sing but displays no believeable, visible connection to the emotion in the lyrics. As for the guy, well, he was pure "diamond" (as in wood equals stiff, diamond equals stiiff ist!!)

@migy60 That comment coming from someone who has favourited videos by Susan Boyle and Joe Mcelderry doesn't bother me too much, as I feel a question of taste comes in to play. I'm by no means saying that our performances are "perfect" however just because we're not giving it the showbiz factor doesn't mean that there isn't any visable emotion. I'm all up for constructive criticism, but that was really very rude and patronising. But thanks for watching.

Kudos for your overall performance as Desiree, you captured her character perfectly. Your voice is soooooo beautiful! One of the most prettiest voices on YT.

since my dream didnt come true, make it to broadway and make it come true for me as well as for you because you are a couple of steps closer, i never got to perform in a musical on stage and i wish every day for that to happen but i dont think it will so if i see you make it, ill consider it my dream comming true through you.
