I am just loving the way the family include their cousins and Aunties ect even though they are different in values and lifestyle it is a real testimony to the Duggarsgenuine Christian love reaching out and teaching by example love and patience. @ImYaArchEnemy I actually disagree. TLC may not be teaching in the sense of Geometry, Phonics, ect. However, they ARE teaching/exposing people to things they may necessarily never have seen before. How many people do you know that have a hoarding problem? Have 18 kids & are faithful to God? Even something such as Say Yes To The Dress is educational in a sense. It shows an inside point of view on the bridal industry.

Second, you don't know that there haven't been thousands of people becoming Believers. Media doesn't cover those kinda things anymore...how would they document such a thing? Anyways, my point is they're doing their job as Christians to spread God's love how they can. It's up to individuals to chose to believe or not. Christians arent miracle workers themselves.

@britni0187 There are shows on TLC and Discovery that I don't approve of. I don't dismiss the channels, I just don't watch those shows. Unless you live the lifestyle, you have no idea what a huge impact it can make on a child to see on television kids playing, saying grace in public, talking about Jesus, nonchalant about not much television or Internet and being homeschooled. My son wants to be like Jim-Bob, Josh and John-David, going into business for himself.

They have never said anything to indicate that they "look down" on anyone who does not believe or practice the way they do. I wish more parents were like them. There would be a lot less children landing in foster homes or ending up on the street becoming statistics.

Stop hatin all! At least this family loves eachother and has money to take care of their children. The kids work ethics are amazing (they built their own house)! There are other people in this world who have children they cannot take care of, some addicted to drugs, people living in poverty who take our money to take care of them and not show good examples! Teen parents, I mean I can go on and on, but this family is SOLID! We can all learn something from the Duggars!

Jim Bob was a former state legislator and served in the Arkansas House of Representatives. All before TLC! So ya TLC does help and give them money, but we never had to take care of those kids!! Everyone gets plenty of attention, the parents provide financially and emotionally for everyone, and the kids do no more than siblings in a smaller family would do. No one person is doing all the work, they ALL help. If you didn't have chores and responsibilities to the family growing up, you missed out on some stellar education.
