You can indeed use SketchUp Warehouse models by importing the ‘skp’ files into a new generic Revit family template and then saving this as a new component. This will transfer the model with the original colours but do note that this is not advisable as best practice because the model is likely to be very inefficient compared to the equivalent created in Revit.
Just a quick question if you could help me please.When i apply a material in max it applies to an entire element. For example when i apply glass to a window the frames ect become glass. Any idea what im doing wrong. Thanks
@zSgtPePPeR go to materials use the PICK MATERIAL (dropper) tool and click on your object, selecting any material slot. a multisub material would get loaded. then apply separate materials to each ID in multisub. and that wont apply material to whole object. hope this would help you.
When I import models from autocad 2008 into max 2011 the image is black , can anyone help please?Thanks in advance!
