It's real hard to say how much money you need. Depends on what you want really. All I have is a Straw bale cabin with a pond on 10 acres. I don't know if your kids are of age to help, but I'd recommend having a strong hand around too. It's hard in the beginning, but it's all worth it in the end. There's nothing better than real freedom.
