  • Thank you so much! I completely failed and water marble. I could never get it to look good, but I love this. Looks great! Subbed

  • I like this drag marble effect and it does look a lot easier. I have a few nail and make up ideas that I do. Do you get free nail polish from OPI and China Glaze for advertising for them? Do you get paid for your tutorials?

  • @MsCerise007 I'm not really advertising for any polish company, even when I use their colors in my design, you can substitute whatever polish you have =) I have received colors for review a few times but never from any of the big companies. But I do earn some money for being a Partner

  • How often do you strip the polish off your nails?

  • @MIZoMIZ000SKILLROX I change my manicure 3-4 times a week =)

  • heyyy can you try zebra print water marble

  • @datboicudsang it's on my request list but usually for an animal print I'd just use Konad so I'm not sure when I'll get to it =)

  • Your voice is relaxing x)

  • I didn't know you can drag some of the polish over so it can cover the baldspots if the nail wasn't wet enough with the polish!! i love the drag marble look it is less messy and you do use less polish.. i learned how to do the marble look today for the first time after trying for soooooooooo long and I GOT IT! BUT I LOOK LIKE A LITTLE KID WITH ALL THIS POLISH ALL ON MY HANDS!! Im going back to just doing the drang marble look..

  • aww it looks like pink roses i like it!

  • Looks so easy! I bet it won't be when I try...-__-

  • You use Konad??? Me too!

  • I also tried the water marble and it turned out great. But after watching this I have to try this as well. Your tutorials are amazing! Thank-you!!

  • @amazingswift13 it's on my request list =)

  • do u use anything that help ur nails to stay strong and long

    ?

  • @bayonne619 I try to keep my nails moisturized, lots of lotion & cuticle oil & I also take a biotin supplement – you can check out my Nail Maintenance vid in the Tips & Trick playlist for my full routine. I do occasionally get a tear or break but you can check out my tutorial on silk wrap patching for how I save those nails =) I do "Naked Nails" posts on my blog every month or so where I talk more about like all the specific products I'm currently using.

  • what can i use to replace that brush?

  • @bluecaramel1 the brushes are one tool there's not an easy replacement for - you can dab polish on with the dotting tool, but it won't really look the same =)

  • how to take the nail polish off the thin brush??

  • @oyamagalesiralhc I just use polish remover =)

  • your nails are amazing :)

  • I have tried water marble twice and it is very messy. I like your idea sooo much better, great idea for a Mother's Day design!

  • so preety

  • When i use china glaze i really just can´t get it thik if i dont do many layers, it that just the collection ? Beacuse now when i see your china glaze it gets thick...

I have neon colours, yellow nd orange....

  • @MyZozzo every color is going to be different - but lot of the up & away collection were very opaque & a little on the thick side =)

  • Does your nails ever break?! D:

  • @DJPixiee I very rarely ever have a full break, sometimes I will get a tear but you can check out my tutorial on silk wrap patching for how I save those nails =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Thankyou :D maybe i can grow my nails without them breaking :D

  • it must take years for the polish to dry :( I probably would mess it up during the time

  • @TheSvea86 Seche Vite takes care of it nicely, even layers this thick =)

  • Your nails are so long.....

  • Can u sent me products

  • @PURPLEQUEEN76 ? Um, no. Buy your own =)

  • how to make the nail polish dry faster when it's on ur nail?

  • @arubiangirl04 I use a quick-dry top coat =)

  • Do you have any specific tips for short nails? I can't do a lot of the designs because it over powers my nails.

  • @crissyfm well, most of my designs can also work on short nails, but I have worn my own long for a very long time. There are some pics of my blog of my mom's nails, she doesn't always do nail art but her nails are quite short =)

  • That's really pretty! Where do you get your tools from?

  • @1998ingram IIRC I got the dotting tools online & the brushes at Sallys =)

  • that`s so cool design

  • where do u get the liner brush and dotting tool???

  • @Runejenn98 IIRC I got the brushes at Sallys & the dottin tools online =)

  • Does it matter what type of bbrand of nail polish u use ?

  • @karinaspage not so much for drag marbling, as long as it doesn't dry to fast almost any polish should work =)

  • @simplelittlepleasures how do u grow such long nails.......mine neva grows....im j!!!!

    :P

  • @anagha2009 I try to keep my nails moisturized, lots of lotion & cuticle oil & I also take a biotin supplement – you can check out my Nail Maintenance vid for my full routine. • These almost look like roses! Very pretty! Do you ever dabble with acrylic paints? I bet leopard print would look so good on your nails! Leopard, tiger or zebra prints are so neat looking on long nails. Those are what I would love to see on your nails, or roses. Your water marbling technique is to die for though, so very easy looking but I am sure it's harder for a novice like me. Thanks again for taking time to do these for us all to enjoy Colette!

  • @ThePamster I usually just use polish, because I have so much I can mostly find the exact color I'm looking for =) I have several Konad plates with animal prints, my favorite is the zebra/tiger stripes plate =) I'll be showing some of the full-nail designs when I get around to the next parts of my Konad FAQs

  • can you use like a toothpick or something instead of a dotting tool??

  • @katieedontcry yes - I use a toothpick in some of my other drag marbling vids =)

  • do the colors have to match? what colors look good together that arent the same color in different shades? any ideas? please respond!

  • @dogzrock142 you can use whatever colors you want =) It's all up to your personal taste, they don't have to be the same or even necessarily go together.

  • It looks like roses

  • The photo at :09 with the flowers is just gorgeous!

  • pattern looks like roses <3

  • i like the other type better

  • where do you get the brush thing??...you are awesome! did u no i watch 2-5 videos a day. sometime i watch the same thing twice!! your advice to me is very good. More people should watch you

  • @Runejenny98 I got the brushes at Sallys, I bought the dotting tool online =)

  • I thought you didn't like pink with your skin tone :P Haha.

  • @DeathNote521 LOL, it's not my favorite, but every now & then I'll wear it =)

  • eisai thea agapi mou, teleia!!!!=you are a godest, perfect!!!!!(in greek) love your work, keep doing this please <3 <3 <3

  • You really have a talent! This is just beyond gorgeous!

  • Love your channel!! Ive been on a nail polish binge for a while now and the whole lines and dot designz were getting a bit old.....i wuz gonna stop for a while or just keep painting them solid colorz until i came to ur videoz and ahhh!! I have been inspired again:D

Ur so awesome and thank you for taking the time to walk thru the process for us!! I just have one question, sorry if you answered it alrdy i just didnt see it:P but, is there a specific way you tape your finger??

  • @Olielihe Also!! If you have shorter nailz...do you recommend doing a smaller bullseye??

  • @Olielihe not necessarily - it will depend more on how you draw your design than the size of the bullseye that you start with =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Thanks so much for the advice, I actually did thiz for my friend earlier after reading ur commentz and OMG....it wuz such an intense process for us!! I did the marblin in the h20 while she dipped her nailz. I took a while to get it but the end result wuz pretty decent for our first time:D Getting room temp h20 wuz tough for some reason but we figured it out. however do u recom. changin the h20 when doing the 2nd hand cuz after a while the nail polish dried quickr and didnt

  • @Olielihe spread out so much:p Imma keep practicing to make it look a breeze like u do. I recommend to first timerz to definitly set aside a lot of time to try thiz out cuz you will mess up and get frustrated but if you keep on going you will end wit something to be proud of for attempting:]

  • @Olielihe I actually have a taping tutorial, it's part of my Tips & Tricks playlist, & linked in the info box =)

  • @Olielihe you know what this will help alot and save u so much time!! instead of putting tape put chapstick on ur finger.. then just wipe off the paint it comes right off!!!

  • thats cool ima try it next week! The last water marble that i did came from you and my friends loved it!

  • can u drag marble with clear polish and any other polish?

  • @blbl1st yes =)

  • i have 2 questions- can you put a top coat on before you put on the marbling stuff, and will this work on short nails?

  • @bffscribbles if you have short nails, you just get less of the design =) I suppose you could put a top coat first although I'm not sure why you'd want to? The base needs to be wet to be able to mke the design.

  • I don't like this one but I love her water marble ones. I tried the water marble one and it was sooo nice. If your a girl try the water marble it's fantastic.

  • That is something I will try can you use a toothpick or pencil instead of the dotting tool. Please reply back cause I really want to know cause I mess up it's a bad mess up.

Thanks and have a good one.

  • @sissy528528 yes - you can really use anything with a fine point that you don't mind getting polish on =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues thank you so much for anwsering back i will try this in the future

  • for a dotting tool i use an old pen that doesnt work anymore...or a tooth pick, depending on how small i want the end

  • are those real nails ;o??

  • @PindaSmaak yes, they're my natural nails =)

  • Do they do this technique in regular nail shops.. this is amazzziinggg!

  • @MonaiteMonroe I've never had my nails done professionally, so I'm really not sure - but I'd be curious to know if you find out =)

  • r those ur original nails?

  • @cupcakeYT yes, they're my natural nails =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues wow they r beautiful

  • "not as cool, but it is very cool. " HA! whattt?

  • "i don't think the design is quite as cool...but you know, it is very cool" LOL :)

  • love it!

  • Beautiful, thanks for sharing this video, I was having a horrible time with the water marble it was clogging up and finally it would clump on to the wooden stick. This I can't wait to try.

  • what type of dotting tooll can i sub for

  • @clairebearx3x3 if you don't have a dotting tool you can use pretty much anything with a fine point =)

  • @clairebearx3x3 i used a toothpick it turned out great!

  • Excellent. I really love it!

  • very nice, do you grow your nails longer?

  • @jvoges73 I'd like to =) I've have't had any breaks lately so I hope my luck holds

  • @jvoges73 Her nails are too long, in my opinion...

  • this is so dam nice!!!!!!i thought it was roses painted on your nail!!!!!=D YOU ARE REALLY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!<3

  • This is pretty. When I firdt saw it, it looked like roses painted on your nails. Can't wait to see more.

  • Love it!! I think it's super cool.

  • thanks for sharing..love it

  • I love this! It's a wayyy less messier way of marbling your nails! thanks for this :)

  • Wow I love it!

  • From a person who has a lot of experience with nail polish, such as yourself, could you tell me why it is that you don't paint your nail all the way to the (cuticle?) sorry if i spelled that wrong

  • @xXGaticaXx You're not supposed to paint it all the way to the cuticle because you have to let your nail breathe, if you don't then your nail will become weak.

  • @Eviless2424 oh, thanks! 8D I had no idea

  • @Eviless2424 Hmm, I've never heard that before. I use biotin to keep my nails strong.

  • @xXGaticaXx The 2 main reasons I don't paint all the way to the cuticle is #1 the polish can pool against the cuticle & look messy, keeping a small gap looks neater IMO. & #2 it makes it easier when you remove your polish, it doesn't get stuck under the cuticle as long as you towards your tips.

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Ohh thank you, it may be weird that I watch abunch of nail artists when I don't really paint my nails (I don't own any nail polishes as of now) but yeah, when I did I would paint over the cuticle, and you're right, it does look messy if you do that.

Thanks for the answer! next time I wont make that mistake

  • pretty pretty....it kind of reminds me of a rose

  • how do u stand the fumes of the polish?

  • @BFFFL16 I don't have to much trouble with fumes, I don't lean over the cup & my desk area is pretty well-ventilated.

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues o ok thanx... :-)

  • that is beautiful! i love pink.

  • really cute! and very simple :))
