people talking about DelaHoya in his primne would have been different. bullshit. he might have fought harder,but manny still could have beat him. It's hard the first time you fight somebody with more stamina than you,and is not using that stamina to stay away,but bring it to you aggressively.
Chavez was a much easier target for DLH than Manny. I don't think it was that DLH was past his prime. i just think he got overwhelmed and wasn't used to that. he didn't know how to handle it and just gave up.

The only way Cotto beats Manny is by digging to his body, and he's going to have to take some big shots to do it. Manny's critics suggest he's vulnerable to the body and Cotto is known for his body work. No way will Cotto vs Manny be as one sides as The DLH or Hatton fights were. I suspect Cotto will have his moments, but it's hard to pick against Manny right now. If I had to, I'd pick Manny in a decision (I'm not sure he has the power to knock out a sturdy welter like Cotto)
My feeling for this fight is: Cotto wins by KO or Pac wins by decision (accumulation of points). I think Cotto has the ability to neutralize Pac's speed. Zab, Mosley Clottey are not slow plus they pack punching power. I give the edge to Cotto just because the types of fights he has endured and having been tested Welter Weight.
It is OK to be a fan, but please sustain your opinion with details as to why you believe he is going to KO Cotto. If Mosley, Clottey, Margarito, Zab Juddah which are true great Walter Weights couldn't, what makes you think Pac will. How many of the proven fighters have Pac KOd in his last fights? Chavez was a much easier target for DLH than Manny. I don't think it was that DLH was past his prime. i just think he got overwhelmed and wasn't used to that. he didn't know how to handle it and just gave up.

The only way Cotto beats Manny is by digging to his body, and he's going to have to take some big shots to do it. Manny's critics suggest he's vulnerable to the body and Cotto is known for his body work. No way will Cotto vs Manny be as one sides as The DLH or Hatton fights were. I suspect Cotto will have his moments, but it's hard to pick against Manny right now. If I had to, I'd pick Manny in a decision (I'm not sure he has the power to knock out a sturdy welter like Cotto)

My feeling for this fight is: Cotto wins by KO or Pac wins by decision (accumulation of points). I think Cotto has the ability to neutralize Pac's speed. Zab, Mosley Clottey are not slow plus they pack punching power. I give the edge to Cotto just because the types of fights he has endured and having been tested Welter Weight.

Those are all 130 to 140 pounders. None of them but the washed out DLH was a WW. Again none of those boxers would do any good in WW, If Margarito, that was hitting him with everything but the kitchen sink, didn't KO him, I seriously, not imposible, but doubt PAC can.

I don't think he'll knock cotto out like hatton but i think he can stop him. pacman has better movement and throws 5 to 6 punches at once. cotto never seems to adjust in fights, he just keeps doing what he always does and hopefully it's enough to beat the other guy. He can't do that in this fight.

The Oscar camp and the world was under estimating Pacquiao at that time, so there is no way Oscar was paid to go down, coz he actually thought that he was going to win, plus he's already so rich that he could afford not to get embarrassed like that.
Pacquiao was already known as an A+ fighter with superb speed, so don't take anything away from his victory. When two fighters enters the ring there are no excuses, bcoz their life is at stake!
