  • I love the drummer and his opening fill! Aggressive playing!

  • @sisenor124 Ckeck out this concerts version of Head over Heels. The drummer really kicks it on that one. Dont know who he is but man hes good.

  • @sisenor124 Check out Head Over Heels from this concert. He is a great drummer.

  • that second guitarist is so flat.

  • 4 People don't want to rule the world.

  • Great performance!

  • My jam

  • Meh

  • lo mejor tears for fears temazo

  • great performance... great band!

  • loves the words, loves words me..... WORD UP LOL :)

  • The first time I heard Tears for Fears' ' Everybody Wants to Rule the World' was this one- live at Knebworth. I remember listening to in 1992. This song had a deep impact on me. This is a song that will always remain timeless even though it was made in the 1980s.

  • @BrokenMummy theres plenty of brilliant music today, and there has been ever since the 80s, its about doing a bit of digging around to find it rather than complaning about what you hear on the radio.

  • THIS IS SO TRUE, THE WORLD IS FREE, FREE FOR EVERYONE," WORLD NOT FOR SALE":):)

  • Nice live version of one of the very few 80's pop songs that was any good...

  • @BrokenMummy sorry but that "grunge" hit back bit made me laugh the only thing grunge has ever hit is the heroin needle.

  • knebwrth 90...... i watched TFF the best group in 80's

  • happy 50th birthday Curt :)

  • @ddozful Yep! Even more horrible teenagers, style and awesome music! That was the 80's! 100% over-rated just like the 90's! Great, but over-rated!

  • Thanks for posting this..I've had a teapot of day but watching this great day has been fab. I think TfF came on after Quo just as the sun came started shining :). It stayed that way until Floyd came on before we all went home...Stevenage to London what a journey home at midnight

  • @BrokenMummy word up. (irony intended)

  • Did that cop really get on stage and start dancing with her? or was that a setup?

  • @Forserean Moron, it was a setup!

  • watching this bought tears of a great memory, had been pouring rain, sun came out as this started playing, nordorff robins silver clef award winners concert was actually better than live aid

  • Thoroughly enjoyed watching this live video. Great .

  • 80'S RULES forever and ever loco !!!!

  • my dad and mummy dawn went to this

  • The one of best songs in the world.

  • this is played way too fast.. but still good though..

  • Looking at current videos, it seems that Roland has aged gracefully. Curt, on the other hand, looks like he's at death's door.

  • Studio quality. love it

  • Bom demais!!!!!!

  • They should rule the world ;))) Very good song from my youth.....

  • Will never get tired of Tears for Fears. Love you Curt and Roland <3

  • klass super nice schon!

  • this is on a game....

    world in conflict :D

  • @lamri13uk

World In Conflict : Epic Win

    Tears For Fears: Epic Win

    World: Epic Win

  • @empollONE This is AWESOME

  • ha ha ha I used to have shirt just like Curts.

  • @paulj2749 GREAT COMMENT

  • luxe!

  • Everybody wants to bang my mom

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!

  • Who would give this song 3 thumbs down??

  • Why do they need those silly back up singers? They don't add too much to the song and they don't seem to be too aware of Roland and Curt's personal space.

  • this song is the cure for aids and racism

  • would be a ROFL is slipknot would dance like that live xD xD

  • I believe that every season of every year has wonderful music across all the genres! Pick your favorites...any and all...

  • my opiniongoing based also off brokenmummy's comment is that its not WHO its WHAT.If you look at peoples comments and i mean a LOT of people they keep talking about era.NOT any one band but all the bands unified.Thats what made nirvana big because they were that one band to turn the tide for others.Yet nowadays everyone is set on turning the tide by not being labeled as just 1 type of alternative, metal, rock .Now bands label themselves as a lil of all.We need to find era,not a turning tide.

  • You can rip the audio-mp3 of this song at fromvideotomp3 doht cohm.

  • alle prøver at sætte dagsordene for verden det lyder lidt klice agtigt men ikke desto mindre er det rigtigt spillet om at få stor magten har været på tale længe

op trap ning i steden for det mod satte

  • this is corakt transletted everbody goner wrolds the world

eller alle øsmer at sætte dav ordene i verden det gør ikkr sage beder

    når det er sådan smiler

  • this is corakt transletted everbody goner wrolds the world

  • i was @ Knebworth 1990 & Tears for Fears was 1st on & in the rain & were pukka !

  • @paulj2749 Yeah, seems like it's time for a revolution or something, every old music clip I see, there's a comment like this with 30 something thumbs around it.

Hm.. my favorite band is Muse. Very interesting, lucky you to live in the 80's! You got any ideas how you would like the music industry, or more - the whole world to be like today? I've got some ideas :)

Btw, Muse is my favorite band. Ever heard of them? Do you think they are crap too? ^^ No problem with me, just interesting. :)

  • Compared to this...almost everything released nowadays sucks..big time.

  • I LOVE this SONG! I LOVE TFF, ALWAYS HAVE, ALWAYS WILL! =)

  • This is a bad live version. Curt's voice can be so much prettier!

Still, this is my favorite song of all times. =)

  • @Caitlin70sdisco I know. You can't even hear him because everything else just over-powers his voice.

  • Lol@ "words match the mouths" haha

  • @paulj2749 - I was 15 in 1980 and I think I DID realise how great the music was at that time. I went to so many concerts I can't even remember them all!!!! I knew it was unique. In my heart, I KNEW!!!! :0)

  • paulj2749: Brit? (realise vs realize); had a ball every time I worked with Royal Marines; you can be very proud of your RM, they ARE the best NATO force I ever served with in my career as a Marine. Saw TFF 4 times in concert, they were always excellent, always started on time, gave encores; you got way more than your money's worth (can't say that for Guns & Roses, though I loved them & still do: their concerts were for shit) Christ yes the best years of my life were 1979-99!

  • anayone knows if somenone else took the saple of this song and put it in their own song? why do i think that shania twain did that!! i hear it in my head but i cant remember!!! its killing me!! help! anyone :)!

  • I want the organist's shirt. Plus the song's pretty wicked too. There's not a lot that can compare.

  • I want the keyboardist's shirt. Plus the song's pretty wicked too. There's not a lot that can compare.

  • HE IS IN PERFECT TIME...YOU'VE GOT TO REMEMBER THAT THE "KICK SHUFFLE" BEAT ON THE RECORDING WAS PROGRAMMED BY COMPUTER, NOT PLAYED ON A REAL DRUM KIT.

  • lovly!!!

  • I adore this song but a part of me will always associate it with Dennis Miller Live.

  • Apparently lhart99 and Mel Gibson see the same therapist. Okay genius with motherfucking MINOR in psychology (University of Phoenix perhaps?), please, oh please, enlighten us poor douche bags with your sage knowledge....on second thought, shut your fucking pie hole asswipe! Have a nice day :)

  • Comment removed

  • @lhart99 congrats on your psych minor pussy

  • The drummer is going way too fast. Compare the keyboard intro tempo to what the drummer does.

  • this is songwriting at its best

  • Even 70s, 80s, & 90s is the best.

  • This Is The Reason Why I Stop Listening To Rap And Listen To This. This Is WAY Better Than Any Todays Shits.

  • Just amazing how good that song is live

  • When first released this song sprang out of nowhere and took the world by surprise... what a mega song... wherever did the inspitration come from, it was completely unlike anything else at the time?!

  • @RHP9898 I guess that s what makes greatness....we\'re still listening to it 25 yrs later

  • TFF only played 8 songs on this their last ever show until 2004 (well Curt & Roland TFF show as Roland kept the band name and toured in '93 & '95/96): Head Over Heels, Change, Pale Shelter, Sowing The Seeds Of Love/All You Need Is Love, Advice For The Young At Heart, I've Got To Sing My Song (sung by Oleta), Badman's Song and EWTRTW

  • awesome !!

  • @paulj2749

You`re so right! I love many 80`s bands like TFF, A-ha. They make so great music, enjoy it! I hope they get the respect the deserve.

  • LOL, what's with the hair, .... oh yea, bad fashion that should never return. Cool song, thanks for it.

  • esta bueno

  • What's with those female back up singers/dancers?!

  • @piscesgeekygirl They're there to dance and sing to support the performance.

  • beautyful song

  • i love this song..

  • ahh sorry

  • Comment removed

  • @szero66 I meant the video, not the performance.

At the time, the only videos of this performance on Youtube were out of sync.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAMO ♥

  • Boy, this is a fast version!!

  • Comment removed

  • beautiful music! amazing!

  • here they are again with the drummer with the ridicoulsy large drumkit who does the lars ulrich ending(Tama says it all!) and

plays just a bit too fast!! Tears for fears are great though!!

  • Roland Olazabal = the talent behind this band. Don't get me wrong Curt Smith can sing but Roland writes the songs and music and can sing too :)

  • That Roland he can jam a guitar. Go boo!

  • i have the whole concert at Knebworth on a 3-part DVD... this is really awsome especially pink floyd :)

  • how can i get the concert on dvd, i was at knebworth 1990, it was a puka day !

  • well... i got it from someone because it's really hard to find :(

  • YER PUKA WHO DID TOU GET IT FROM ?

  • yer yer yer, but can anyone tell me how i can get the dvd !

  • soudgood

  • yeeah great quality :D

  • Fantastic! I never tire of listening to TFF.

  • @ftsjr right !!! greetings from Poland TFF fantastic :)

  • Un grupo ícono de los 80's, que lamentablemente se separaron al comenzar los 90's, pero para beneplácito de todos, han vuelto a reunirse y seguir haciendo lo que mejor saben hacer: MUSICA A-1

  • Not a lot of Roland in this one...I think the camera only goes to him like twice.

Excellent audio quality. Too bad I was born too late to hear this great music when it was mainstream. Pop culture today (hip-hop, etc.) seriously sucks, people are just afraid to admit it!

  • yeh agree. they afraid cus they dont want to be "hated". to be honest in school i dont give if i tell the teacher to put this song on , loads of people say "ugh its old , your a sad person" lol but i feel sorry for them that they ont have any taste in music ;)

  • a little bit fast?

  • I thought so too....

  • good song

  • uuhhh, why are you all saying this took place on 1980? this is knebworth 1990, 90, not 80...

  • Actually, the Knebworth Festival that took place before the 1990 one was in 1979, so I don't know where anyone would get 1980. Plus, the footage doesn't even look like it was from that earlier time period.

  • maybe they meant early 80's i dont know

  • @LadoomProductions The song was actually written in 1985. I was just saying that I was a little kid in 1980. There's no need to be rude. :(

  • i was young not taken life seriouly just drinkig chase hoes dam i wish iwas back in the 80 miss gd music now igot kids and all i hear is how this rappers want spent all my dam money buying the dam club nega buy me a drink im the reason you in the vip. you think beyoce want a broke jay-z hell no

  • right on samyjo

  • This is music instead of some guys on stage holding up their dicks! And saying N word this and N word that! I miss this type of music!

  • One of the all-time great pedestrian beats. That groove is so simple yet so elusive. It is peppered with the tastiest jabs and punches all they way through it. Excellent work. Outstanding drumming.

  • One of my fav song!

  • i love this song ^^

  • I was a teener in the early 80's and it was the greatest time of my life...... If I could only turn back the clock..... :(

  • I hear you loud and clear...

  • I was a little kid in 1980, only 5 years old, and it was a great time for me to be a kid.

  • when i see what the world look like in 2009, i think that if i would be able to i,d go live in the 70's and the 80's

  • i agree with you

  • @samyjo118 each morning I wake up and hope that it maybe 1975 ...

  • @samyjo118 I AGREE 100000%

  • nothing but cool!!!!!!!!!!

  • Voice and instruments, Tears for Fears is absolutely one of the best live performers in the history of music! Now that's real greatness:-)

  • Sometimes we can see the URGEANCY in the message in an interpretation to press through, to persevere, to move others to just stop worrying, and to let it come out .

Sometimes it is the grip of the EYE, the grip of the tongue in the speech on our souls, the grip of inspiration, the grip of confidance, the grip of TRUST, the grip of gripping oneself, the grip of TRUE grit, the grip that helps, the grip the mercies & extends to another, and the time to take hold.

    To: Smile & Wink

  • Lo mejor de Tears for Fears... insuperable

  • its a very beatiful song (L)

  • fab

    uloso!!!

  • One of my faves, but this one is too many bpm.

  • that's exactly what I thought, slow down!

  • One of the Best to come out of the UK in the 80's. Reminds me of my first year of College in 1985. Those were some of the best years of my life.

  • I was in entering my pre-teen years. It was a great time to be a kid in 1985.

  • AMEN to that! I couldn't agree with you more. The BEST time to be a kid, couldn't ask for a better year!!

  • absolutely love this song!

  • the best TFF's song ever!!!...80's rulez!... love 80's

  • great song.. love it

  • wow dudes I just get the years wrong and you all jump on me :/

  • love the song......positive song :)

  • one of the best pop songs ever

  • for me the very best song of the 80's!

  • actualy 90's. great years.

  • actually 80's. released in 1985.

  • pwned

  • i thought i saw some balloons

  • i hate how neil taylor shows off, roland should be playing those parts. and get rid of those back up singers.

  • I agree with you about the cheesy back-up singers, but as for Neil playing his own solo...I don't get your problem. I just rate him for coming up with a cool and original solo in the sterile 80's environment...he's earned the right to show off.

  • They sound weird in this one but sound a lot better in the Santa Barbara live concert. It actually worked out great. Not sure what happened here.

  • The tempo is noticeably faster in this concert than in the recorded song. I wish they didn't have those twerpy backup singers.

  • Me too. They almost ruin this song.

  • this has been the best concert of all times!!!! without words

  • for you it is..and that's because it's relevant for you in time and place..that's what's cool about music..it's the Universal Languag..the best concerts for me were Rush - Moving Pictures Eperience..ZZTop - Eliminator Tour..The Cars - Heartbeat City..The Eagles - Farewell Tour I..and every Gordon Lightfoot concert I've been to (17)..

  • fantastico y en serio, esto ya no se escucha, ahora solo se copia.
