@pvarl351975 This show did pretty good in the ratings, but I believe ABC dumped it so that they could pick up Diff'rent Strokes from NBC [which by the way bombed and was cancelled before the next season even ended] .... but I remember John Ritter saying that they had planned to have Jack and Vicky get married in season 2 and Jessica Walter (Vicky's mom) was going to be around more. Kind of sad that ABC treated John Ritter that way.

The set looks like the same blueprint they used for the apartment in One Day at a Time. That Jeff Spicoli rip-off was attrocious and it was completely unbelievable that he would ever get employed anywhere, let alone have a resume. No wonder everyone ripped this to shreds when it came out

The theme song is beyond corny. I liked Jack Tripper when he was a bachelor. No, nothing compared to Three's Company (even if Chester Tate {Robert Mandan} did play the father here).

This is the American version of Robin's Nest, which lasted like 6 seasons. That was a spin-off/continuing of Man About the House which was what Three's Company was based off of.

@chippewaman1975 Antenna TV will be showing this within the month, its gonna air it after Three's Company airs the last episode. Than after they start Three's Company over again they'll start showing The Ropers when their characters leave Three's Company
