My Mom worked there up until 1985. I remember going to pick her up with my dad. She worked in the main building, up on one of the higher floors. It was a very surreal place. I agree with boogadat's comments below; this location could have been converted to a resort, private school, training centre, ANYTHING! Such a waste - but so indicative of the way governments handle their property.

Dislike because of the total waste of money. The government could have followed through on so many possibilities for this location and instead sits on their butts and lets it rot. Total disgrace.
so was wondering exactly what one might have to do to get a good look at that place im just in orillia and have always been interested in goin to see some of these places round our area ..so what would i have to do or talk to whome about goin in there thanx jim
