I was at this show. My friend who is a HUGE Manowar fan turned me onto them. I remember them doing Heart of Steel, Wheels of Fire, and Kings of Metal. I was blown away by the show. Do you have the rest of that show to upload? Brings back great memories, thanks for sharing!

He is using a Fender Strat , customized by Dawk Stillwell.. I own that guitar.. at the end of the Triumph of Steel tour Dave wanted to sell it and I told him since I worked on it everyday that I wanted it!!

I know he wants it back too... it sound way out of tune on here!! I wasn't teching that show.. I joined up about 6 months later!!

no, ross the boss left manowar after the release of kings of metal album, in 1988. Then David get the guitars, and in 1992 they release The Triumph of Steel, and in 1993 David left.

And David has blond hair, while Ross has brown hair. The guitar player in this video has blond hair ^^

Anyone know why Manowar were playing such a small club? I mean was it some record company thing, a warmup gig or was it just where Manowar were at in the US at that time?

Also is Scott Columbus playing on Rhino's kit? I thought it was Rhino that had the single tom up front like that, but it's clearly Scott.

This show was a private music industry event, at the Cat Club in New York City, held during the annual CMJ music convention right before the release of Kings Of Metal. Most in the crowd are seminar attendees, not brothers of metal who wanted to get in but couldn't. The set was short, only 30 minutes. I was very happy to be there up front.

As for Scott's drum kit, I don't know the story behind that.

It is David Shankle bro, Ross did not touor with Manowar For the Fighting the World and Kings of Metal releases, because he left the band b4 they did those tours. And you can also tell in the shred style of playing there. Not to mention the Tattoo on the right arm.
