  • Thank you Jim. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • I liked all the episodes of the Beatles cartoons

  • When I was a kid I watched the Beatles cartoons every Saturday.

I also watched Popeye, Tom and Jerry, the Pink Panther, and others too numerous to mention.

  • Yes I have

  • Thanks

  • ur welcome. I think this show is cute Plus, Sweet Polly sounds like she's voiced by Billy Lou Watt. She used 2 voice Astro Boy in the 1963 version of the show

  • Actually, Sweet Polly was voiced by Norma McMillan, who was also the voice of Casper the Friendly Ghost and Gumby.

  • Who? Sorry. The oldest cartoon I know(as u already guessed) is Astro Boy. I'm new 2 this. I got interested in it when I saw the Disney movie adaptation. Well, I don't like Disney. Except 4 'Snow White'

  • That's OK.

  • On a more serious note....RIP John Lennon who was so tragically and senselessly gunned down 29 years ago today.

  • I remember that day as if it were yesterday :-(

  • Me too. I miss both John and George :-(

  • I love Shoeshine Boy! I think this is my favorite one so far!!

  • Thank you....and the spot where Shoeshine Boy was playing peek-a-boo with Sweet Polly? That was intentional. lol!

  • I figured it was. I loved it!

  • Glad you loved it.

  • Great! I love the disappearing/reappearing Shoeshine Boy part. And Ringo always did Carl Perkins proud. Thanks, Francis.

  • Thanks Gerry. In addition to Ringo, George also did Carl Perkins proud with his rendition of "Everybody's Trying to be my Baby."

  • Right you are about George doing "Baby". I have Carl Perkins' DANCE ALBUM, and that all the songs that The Beatles covered. I think they must have gone through several copies of that classic album.

  • One of the great things about the Beatles (as well as the Stones and all the other great British Invasion groups) was that they were great cover bands. Listen to the Stones version of "Not Fade Away" or the Animals version of "House of the Rising Sun".

  • The Beatles, Stones, Animals, Hollies, Them, The Spencer Davis Group...they all had astonishing taste in cover songs. I wonder how many Moody Blues fans know that "Go Now" was an R&B for hit for Bessie Banks before Denny Laine and the guys made it a hit! Doc Watson also does a great version of "House Of The Rising Sun".

  • I didn't know that about "Go Now". That's one of my favorite songs.

  • Oops forgot to mention....I wanted to have Shoeshine play peek-a-boo with Sweet Polly

  • This ws fun, bender1958. I especially like the "animation" effect at 0:42.

  • Thank you.

  • Bender....you are just awesome.....brilliant!!! I love it!!

  • Thanks Wolfie
