I'd listen to Wade's REAL country over Kenny's pop country anyday! Am not saying Kenny sucks, Just saying Wade is great, and I really wish he was more popular so we could hear more of him.
@outraged70 I like Kenny Chesney too but for years all he sang about is beer and beaches. I still love this song from my teenage years....18 years and counting. being a real musician isn't determined by the number of album you sell...
@5snickerdoodle my point exactly, Kenny's songs about beer and beaches and back when I was in high school have really gotten old, that's why until these last few songs he's released I really havent listed to him in awhile.
I think Wade chose another path for his life when he got married. He chose to put the career to the backseat to that. Kenny chose to pursue his career instead of getting married. If you recall he and his first fiancee called it off three weeks before the wedding. Kenny's career took off after that.

kenny chesney and wade hayes came on to country music at the same time. (But kenny was also doing real country music at the time.) Now Kenny is a huge star and wade is nothing. Part of being a country music star is being able to change.
Wade is nothing?? WTF?? It might seem that way because he's not on the radio right now, but radio sucks and they only play what the record labels pay them to play. Wade is still out there making music and not selling out his talent to make a buck! I respect that about him more than anything. He knows who his friends are, and I am proud to be able to call him my friend! He doesn't need to change.
@rockok07 You couldn't have said it better, rockok07. Wade sticks to his traditional country music roots, which is why his fans stay true to him. Wade knows where his heart is.
He's nothing? Why? Because country music won't play his new material? Remember a legend named Johnny Cash? The same thing happened to him! Was he nothing? No. There are many artists that are currently played on mainstream country music radio I myself would consider nothing or next to it. I generally listen to prime country and wait for great singers like Wade Hayes to come on. And maybe not changing for an industry is a good quality to have. More artists should do that I think.
Seriously you would wonder why ....he must be so easy in the studio....you hear him here where nothing is perfect and he just nails it...every note....his voice is incredible.
@CountyLT76 changing with the times is a greater indicator of not knowing who you are and what you are about rather than someone who stays true to what they love and who they are. After about five years of listening to Kenny Chesney sing nothing but beer and beaches I would take this song over that any day...
@5snickerdoodle In actuality what you see is an artist put in hard work playing what they have to, to get air play. Once uve constructed a hall of fame career like Kenny, or Brooks and Dunn or even Alan Jackson you can do what whatever you want. Thats why Kenny sings about beaches and beer and Alan and B&D sang a lot of silly, dumb songs towards the end. Its those artist who play what they want from begining to end that are special like my personal favorite Eric Church
@CountyLT76 You clearly don't know a damn thing about him!!! First off his "name" is not Wade... Wade is his middle name... Tony is his first name and he grew up in Oklahoma. Bethel Acres... ever heard of it? He does a lot of charity work. You might want to get more information before you go around dogging a man!
@DestinedPalmer Your right I'm not obsessed with him like well. . .you. Crazy ass. It seems like your hiding in a tree outside his house in Nowhere, OK. And this comment was totally based on an examination of the two artist over the past 15 years. And it was a comment from 3 years ago. . .damn.
What happened to most of the Country singers is, Country Radio decided it wanted to sound more like Pop, and try to appeal to Soccer Moms and teenage girls. So now we have Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift. Country fans sure got the shitty end of that trade.
I wish somebody would upload the official music video for this song! I would if I knew how. Love Wade Hayes!
