ang pangit ng national costume. mas maganda kapag maranao na costume, mas sexy pa. tsaka next time pag pumili naman ang binibining pilipinas yung hindi naman mukhang mistisa. tignan niyo nga si miriam quiambao purong pilipina nanalo pa. typical colonial mentality of filipinos. good thing i don't have that.

there is no such thing as a "purong pilipina", you mean to say Pure Malay, the phils is so ethnically diverse,Chinese,Spanish,Aeta, etc..I am of spanish background with no Malay blood in my veins, but I am filipino,so were my ancestors. she was chosen because the winner who was too white to be "pilipina"couldn't speak no english, backed down and she was just a runner up that took her place. mind you,Miriam, "a purong pilipina" was 1st Runner up, Gloria Romero,a mestiza, won miss Universe.

Does anyone noticed about the spelling of the Philippines? In Jennifer´s sash they spelled it as PHILLIPPINES with double "L" Gosh! Miss Universe Org., watch-out for those spellings just like to KOSOVO they spelled it as KOSOVA.. There are also other incidents in this matter like in 2006 with SRI LANKA as Srilanka and BELGIUM as BELIGUM.. So funny but oh well such a history..

i wish you all the luck miss philippines.give your best on the pre-pageant during the swimsuit and the evening gown competition.from this time you should study what is the best make-up and hairstyle that you will look very exotic and stand out.if you have any chance to wear another evening gown that will fits your personality and will exudes your beauty do it.i love philippines.that is my tip for you as a stylist and model here in tokyo.goodluck again.
