Never heard this cover before. It's beautiful. I've always appreciated the love you folks across the pond had for Motown. She holds her own wonderfully on one of fave Smokey compositions. I also just discovered her "On A Magic Carpet Ride", wonderful stuff.

The track for this song was recorded in 1968 for Barbara McNair. Kiki added her vocals a few years later. There are several other tracks that were originally recorded by Barbara that Kiki added her vocals on.
Barbara McNair, also at Motown in the late 1960s recorded a vocal to this same backing track.
