  • eh? It's the original song..

Daft punk - harder better faster stronger

  • you ar the best pixel art maker of the world

  • :O Thanks :D

  • Oh, Wow Good Job

I Watch The 9 Videos, You're The Best Pixel Artist. greetings From Chile :)

  • Thanks for watching :D Very much appreciated!

  • What program did you use? Oh man your my inspiration!

  • Thanks :) I use Microsoft Paint. It comes with just about any version of Windows.

  • I had another quick question, do you plan what you are going to draw before you draw it, or do you just add things as they pop into your head?

  • Sometimes I just draw as it comes to mind, others I plan by drawing a rough sketch on paper first. Pixel art 1, 3 and 6 were all done on the fly. Pixel art 2, 4 and 8 are based on real places. 5, 7 and 9 were sketched first.

    Thanks for watching :)

  • Fantastic as usual :) Daft punk = traditional pixel art music! I started drawing pixel art after seeing your videos lol, its hard and it takes ages but it's theraputic! I would love to video myself drawing one (I did, it got taken down! :@) but it takes me days to draw one piece of art, and I dont have enough space left on my hard drive to record any lengthy video with reasonable quality :( At least I can still watch yours lol. Keep up the good work! You could write a tutorial (and sell it) :P

  • Hey, it really is therapeutic! I don't put too much detail into the art when recording as you don't really want to spend more than 4 hours recording. It looks too choppy when fast forwarded otherwise.

Your video might still be available under your account settings. If it's an issue regarding music copyright, you'll be given the option to replace the background music and they'll put it back up.

    Thanks for the comment :)

  • glad to see more of your work

    im gonna subscribe

PS: you should really look into selling your art

like i told you last time

  • Sweet, thanks for watching :D I'll start selling if I ever make anything big enough to be worthy of a print. At the moment they're all just small bits and pieces.

  • how u film this? :)

    Answer to my site

  • I filmed it using a screen recorder. Best ones are CamStudio and iShowU. I then sped the video up and added music using iMovie, though you can also use Windows Movie Maker to do this :)

  • You are so amazing at this. Im a Mac user as well, and right now I have to go into Windows to use Paint. Where did you get Paint to install via Crossover?

  • I took mspaint.exe and the required dlls from a copy of XP. :)

  • dude like i said third in a row

tutorials man we all want to get out of our noob state and go to intermideate

but noone can become higher than

god of pixels and you have earned that rank so plz god of pixels make tutorials and those tips you did was a little helpful but i need a tutorial

  • I really should. Will try to get round to it. Thanks for the comments :)

  • U Need Some Door Details, But Still F*ck*ng Amazing!!

  • Thanks. Yeah in some areas I should have put more detail in, especially the roof of the first building, but after a while I started getting lazy. Also, I didn't want the video to run any longer, it's already choppy compressing 5 hours into less than 5 minutes, I don't think I'll ever take this long for a video again, unless I break it into 2 parts but it's unlikely. Thanks for your comment.

  • This one is my favourite x]

  • Thanks :) I was hoping someone would like it since it took hours! :P

  • This is amazing :)

also what do you use to film this i may post some myself :D

  • Glad you liked it :)

When using windows I record using CamStudio (freeware), when using mac os I use iShowU (Not so free, but cheap!)

  • Thanks :)

  • Pretty cool.

  • Thanks.

  • I am also so sick >:(

  • What do you mean?

  • YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! He made a PIXEL ART!!!!!!! Lol. Looks good, keep it up. Do you want my suggestions?

  • Let's hear them! :D

  • Okaay! I only got some of them... Might be too hard for you... -airport -model catwalk (lol) -motorway -school Hey, why not do something different? Such as famous places? -Dumping Ground (Tracy Beaker) -Albert Square (Eastenders) -Coronation Street -A stage (celebrity singers, ya know) Thats all from me :)
  • I like the airport, motorway and school ideas. Though I'm not a fan of the TV show ones. I'll consider these, but I think I might possibly come out with a tutorial first. Who knows.

  • Btw, thanks very much for the ideas :)

  • I got Wine working, but sadly, I didn't get Paint to work with Wine ... :(

  • Ah that sucks :/ Never mind, you're probably better off running it from windows anyway. The inability to right click is a real pain sometimes.

  • True, true.

  • you know what... IM A PIXEL ARTIST TOO! :D

  • Nice. Thanks for the comments.

  • yay! your back to pixel arting! add me bro!

  • How do you come up wiith this stuff !? o.o

    Amazing btw.

  • I drew this one on paper months ago, but I usually just wing it. Thanks for the comment :)

  • I feel inspired once again to try doing some sort of pixel art... Always hard to follow through for me, though; my creative side is lacking. xD

    Good vid as usual!

  • Thanks. Yeah it can get a bit tedious after a while.

  • See this is what makes you amazing! Originality and amazing pieces. I wish I was this good. Im fairly decent at drawing out it all but the colouring kills me -.- Check out my video. Need to re-name it xD

  • Hey. Thanks :) I drew this one out on paper before making it - that's where the idea came from. Just watched your video, I like the stuff that you've drawn but there are a few items in there that are from Habbo hotel etc, did you just recolour those?

  • Yeh I just re-coloured them like the sofa. But I drew everything else/edited it. My two best ones (The Archways) Were made for me and my friends. I made the One saying adam for my friends adam & adam. The one with a hotel I made for me xD and is now my Desktop background.

  • Nice, keep it up!

  • Thanks :D that means a lot coming from a great pixel artist such as yourself.

  • finally i have the chance to see another work from you

  • Haha! You could have seen this on Friday afternoon but the video was hidden away as private for some reason - just realised today. Thanks for the comment :)

  • This is awesome :D Im bad at pixel art -_-' hehe

  • Thanks! Keep trying if you enjoy it.

  • AMAZING.. this is soo goood i cant even explain it.

  • Thanks :D When I made this I didn't think you guys would like it as much as the last but you guys seem to be really happy with it :D

  • That was GREAT! I haven't installed Windows on Boot Camp yet, so I haven't been making Pixel Art for a while :(

  • Thanks :) I also don't have windows. I run Paint using Wine. Works just as it should except for the ability to right-click - a few problems there.

  • I tried using Wine once, but it didn't work. I couldn't open the Paint file.

  • Try using codeweaver's crossover - it has a bit of an interface, but costs - I think it's cheap though.

  • I tried that too - Same problem.

  • I think you need some additional DLL files, or have you already accounted for those?

  • I don't know, But if I just install Windows on Boot Camp, the problem is solved, I can use MS Paint, so why not?

  • Yeah I've considered that, but I'm not willing to pay for a copy of windows just for paint - and Windows 7 paint isn't quite as pixel art friendly, but if it works for you I can imagine it would be much easier than emulation. I think I'll look for an XP disk to see how cheap they sell it now with windows 7 just around the corner.

  • I'm not going to use the Windows OS just for Paint, I'm going to use it for apps that is only for Windows too. But lets bet back to the topic. That video rules!

  • Thanks! It took me forever!!

  • you know what? I'm going to try againg to run paint on Wine.

  • Wow! The video only went public just a moment ago! Thanks for your comment :)

  • I actually put this video up a few days ago but youtube made it private by default. Just figured it out! Wondered why I didn't get any comments! Anyway, enjoy!
