  • @RobertsDigital I really do not need or value your advice. As far as calling africans lazy, you are incorrect. Making such foolish comments and generalising continents just makes you seem stupid. So take my advice, and get a life.

  • when I just landed in Lagos a few days ago, first thing I noticed next to the runway were plane wrecks, comforting no? BtW how long is KLM still holding onto their MD-11s?

  • when I just landed in Lagos a few days ago, first thing I noticed next to the runway were plane wrecks, comforting no?

  • Good vids, but sad ending, just look at our national flights rotting away without no care, but u and i visit 9ja with other countrys national carriers, shame on those who ve in one way or the other ruled and killed 9ja to this delapidated state......level.....call it anthing u like

  • i hope to go to lagos this summer

  • nice video thanks for sharing

  • Going back to my route to Africa! gooing back to my roooute to Afrika!!

  • You know it's an MD 11 or tail mounted engine when you hear the whining of the engine after the wing.

A very nice video, hope to visit central aftrica soon.

  • @EinkOLED

no md 11 goes to lagos

  • md11 huh when was this filmed

  • reminds me of when i always travel. KLM used to be my best but now i prefer Lufthansa. the airport in Frankfurt really sucks. schipol airport is the best airport av ever been to. which still makes KLM my best airline. you can never go wrong with European pilots. they're the best.

  • i thought the amsterdam to lagos route is operated with a boeing 777?

  • @oliverjumelle no its 737 becuz 737's are only made for 6 hour flights.

  • @oliverjumelle

    yes with 777-200ER....

  • Wow..why did you stop shooting ..that last minute was great! Nigeria DC10 and A310 in full colors..though dirty, still good to see. I wondered what else was at the terminal. Thanks for posting!

  • fear they make that man cough

  • airport suck been there many times but i don't like it

  • very interesting airport, I like that 747 museum beside the runway.

  • Not a bad landing!

  • The carcasses of those planes represent the failure of the Nigerian Government. One thing I believe in is change... It has already started happening... And where light shines, darkness disappears.. The people who killed Nigerian airways are all gone... U dnt hear of them anymore... thats life... If we join hands together, we can become a stronger force...

  • @javicrane WHY ISN T THERE ANY nigeria airways ANYMORE..AN NATION, AND OIL NATION WITHOUT AN NATIONAL AIRLINE???

  • @am1966ath Nigerian airways went bankrupt as a result of bad management..... i feel sooo sad about it sometimes, but for now lets see how far Virgin Nigeria Gets......

  • @am1966ath its just a result of bad management and corruption..... when people only care about their personal benefits, this is wat we end up with....

  • @am1966ath The Airline business is one of the hardest businesses to maintain. American airliners & others go out of business all the time. It takes heavy ticket sales & cargo contracts to keep an airline strong. Lagos needs to improve the city to start attracting more tourist.

  • @tierren The airline business is hard in that it needs massive investments and the return are sometimes small. But Nigeria is a major oil producing country in Africa with a huge population. Lagos as a tourist destination?..what I saw of Lagos some 15years ago was huge traffic jams and outdoor markets but not anything of historic value..also,unfortunately a high crime rate..but people are friendly.

  • @javicrane why can't NIGERIANS REMOVE THOSE PLANES and take them to a scrap yard. Why do you have to show the world that you are lazy???

You are developing...but for goodness sake remove those planes.

  • @RobertsDigital You speak about nigerians as if they are all the same person. I fail to understand how some planes prove that nigerians are Lazy?

  • @07radeyemi A typical Nigerian -African- like you will take pleasure in leaving the planes there. Instead of removing the planes you are choosing to support it by arguing. A big country with millions of people and not a single Nigerian has lifted a finger to say "bring electric saws let up cut these planes to pieces and send them to the scrap yard." Not one!

An impression of laziness is displayed once again.

  • @RobertsDigital And yet another typical racist, who sits behind a computer making ignortant comments. Another ignorant human.

  • @07radeyemi Instead of taking advice and doing the right thing you call everyone racist

    Thats africa

  • shame about those planes they were airworthy and still abandoned

  • Is this the sight you see when you arrive to Lagos? scrapped aircrafts?!!

  • WOw seeing that DC10 brings back memories. There is no shame in that country those planes should be ina hanger some where but cool video.

  • It is not a DC 10 please.

  • Thanx for this video,it's always emotional when u hear the hostess on board welcoming u to ur destination after a happy landing.. Another observation is the level of contamination in Nigeria especially in Lagos where is hardly u can see the blue sky during the days and lots of clouds that never permits to see the beauty of the city while on Air.

  • I remember when i entered nigeria airways from lag to KD for holidays in the early nineties. Boy, the service was still very good then.

  • I used to take KLM to Accra. I still remember how KLM flight attendants often pronounced Lagos as "Lah-gos" instead of "Lay-gos".

  • haba my broda, the plane shook a little. Don't forget the boycott by the foreign airlines two years ago made them fix the runways at MMA in lagos, and Nnamdi Azikiwe airport in Abuja, so that should explain why there wasn't too much bouncing going on.

  • most airlines do lol :P

  • Were you on your way to Lagos or going to Accra via Lagos?

  • i didnt know we still have Nigerian Airways..thought they had be sold..i remember when i boarded Ethiopian airline in 2007...the trolley for serving meal was that of Nigerian Airways..lol

  • why are you talking about nigerian airways ? the airline is KLM

  • yes but when the plane landed, you could see those planes parked there..they are Nigerian Airways..thats why

  • You're right. Nigeria Airways no longer exist, and all its previous assets have been sold to Arik Air.

  • the carcasses of those planes have been left out there on the field for as long as I can remember. I remember seeing it in 2000 and wondering what on earth they were still doing there. You can now imagine my utter shock at still seeing them there now!!!

  • i wonder the impression the nigeria airways plane will give foreigners upon landing in nigeria...they shoulf be kept in an hanger instead of being displayed

  • it is so sad. I actually flew in that DC-10 parked out there in 1986. I know because it is the only DC-10 Nigeria Airways ever had!!!!

  • see hold up for lagos...lol

  • this is an excellent vid god bless u mehn 5*

  • Very nice filming thanks, very smooth landing too, i once read that the MD11 is a difficult plane to land smoothly, but obviously the Dutch pilots know how to do it, Well done.

  • nice
