I have always thought that people were entitled to believe what they wanted. Basically, science is too young to say there is no God or that there is one. Why call what sum 1 believes stupid if u yourself don't really know if there is one or not. I am christian, but I do not feel special or exalted. In fact,I believe we are all the same.
Ok, I have a problem here, we live in a Universe that was created, whether by God or not, it was created and exsist under the laws of physics. Without the laws of physics nothing would have happened with matter because it would not exsist. Matter in our universe is not random which places the universe to a set to a strict rules. With the strict set of rules that hold our universe together, it's only feasible that there are rules in the creation of life - not random events, stars are not random.
it is also done to dispel the multi-culturalist view that all viewpoints have equal merit.while i think their is much to be said for a"live and let live"philosophy in many aspects of life,it can not become an absolute societal standard
Why be so selfdefeating? You do realise you are actually much more intelligent and knowledgeable than the big 25k-views-youtube-commonsense-gurus right?
I hear you. I've been trying to convince a creationist that science does not and will not include the supernatural as an explanation. The guy doesn't believe me? He has twice pulled a definition of science from the dictionary and claims it does not support my position. (when of course it does)
I say this to back up your view. Even on a tiny little point the creationist will not accept what I say. I'm only arguing because I know I'm right. Humanity is in trouble???
I agree. The only kind of worthwhile video response to JF777 is a parody video making fun of him.
The problem with convincing the public that there is no debate, is that the press has lost sight of what objectivity really means. Instead of approaching stories from a standard methodological perspective (true journalistic objectivity), the media today looks for "balance" and thus creates the illusion of controversy where none exists.

i agree.the debate with a creationist fundamentalist is never done for his sake,it is done for the sake of spectators.

it is done for those that have been exposed to no other point of views but are still trying to think about these things.

It must take so much effort to be so ignorant, how can they go through their lives ignoring everyone thats smarter than them?
It would be too difficult to be a creationist :)
