I like what I'm hearing and seeing. I'm thinking about buying about malletkat, but only if it simulates a marimba sound well enough. Would any of you guys recommend buying a malletkat as a portable marimba subsitute? Thanks.

The malletKAT is only the controller. The quality of the sound you're going to hear is 100% dependent on the sound module you'll be using.
