  • HELP!! Hi, everything worked fine when I enter information and send the form. But when I receive the email it only contains the words name, email and comment but no information that was entered into the form. Please help!

  • Excellent Tutorial Thx :-)

  • hi im looking to make a login page for my website but was wondering how to do this as i know you have to u sql etc. have u made a video on this or know someone who has ?

  • @minevilleofficial Well if it's only you who needs a password you don't need mysql (Neither if it's more than you, but it would give you less coding ^^) If it's only you, you can add mysql for extra security, but that's about it ^^ There's some great tutorials out there :)!

  • I like how he is saying fail instead of file :D

  • thank you...took your basic concept and created a long form

    WORKS GREAT!

  • is this guy speaking english??

  • @VioletKoncz yea he is scottish like me

  • I NEED THE Contact.html FILE PLEASE CAN SOMEONE EMAIL ME THE CODE PLEASE OR EVEN POST IT UP

  • Hello, get scripts and services at html-world(dot)net

  • This is one of the best tutorials I've come across..Many thanks!!

  • Is dreamweaver a desnigning program for html?

  • Sorry, forget what I said before, I fixed it. but I have another problem, it shows the labels, like name: email: comments: but the fields are blank, even if I wrote something.

  • @Kittycatnya12367

have u got this to work yet? im getting the same problem. no idea on how to fix it.

  • @minnaren Hmm, I can't remember exactly how I fixed it, I'm pretty sure that it had something to do with the .php file's information not correctly matching the information in the .html. Just go through the .php and make sure all the ID's, emails and URLs are correct. I'm not sure how else to help you. sorry. :\

  • Thanks, but I have one small problem. I tested it on my computer (while it was live) it didn't show the message, but it did refresh, and I did not receive the email. I also had a friend test it on his computer and I still did not receive the email.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH THIS WAS SOOO HELPFUL BEST HELPFULL VIDEO EVER...YOU EVEN PROVIDED US WITH PHP CODE THAT WAS AWESOME.. ALTHOUGH IT TOOK A WHILE TO LINK THE PHP PAGE TO THE FORM BUT THIS VIDEO WAS VERY HELPFUL : ) THANKS XO

  • @BlueSquareWeb Tell this to the rest of these morons on here who are complaining about his accent when they have completely lost out on what he's showing!

  • purom proses

  • @helpvid it showing like it should?

  • My virus protector is saying this is a dangerous website.

  • I tried this mail script it will send the email but in the email it dont show the name or comment only the email showes up

do you know how this is possible?

  • I've tried numerous contact scripts on youtube, and this one WORKED! Mind you, you need to be minimally programming savvy, in order to create the actual contact form.

You need to make sure the names of your fields are matching to the fields on the form process, and make sure your contact page goes to the form process script. Then, if your php compatible host is set up on the internet, you should have a working contact form. Thank you mr scottish man!

  • Thank you, Mark!

  • Can anyone help me please, i have built a html form with in a page, and have used this PHP that this guy supplied, i have gone through changed the email etc uploaded both to host and still nothing works, is there some sort of other connection i have to make between the PHP page and the form? Please help

  • how do I get the button to submit when I click it? : S

I'm making another site, but nothing happens when I click for instance "login".

  • @kjakur In insert>spry>spry validation confirm

    I think.

  • @PhilipBramsted

Indeed...read my post. This guy is a complete scam....

  • But it just proofs how careful you need to be...U HAVE BEEN WARNED....

  • His tutorial may have been somewhat useful but this guy is a total scam. I visited his website and contacted him for some questions and help regarding my website. He then told me he would help me all the way if I would donate some money to his website. I thought it made sense to ask for some donation since I am sure he gets many requests from many people. Boy how wrong I was...after his first and only reply he never wrote me back again. The donation may have been just a small amount of money...

  • Hi Please could you help me out, Im getting an error that says: There is a syntax error on line 64. Code hinting may not work until you fix this error. I notice my (echo) is green and yours was blue..also I did not make the form from your previous tutorial and I have also just installed and setup xampp on my machine to run a local server so perhaps that is doing something too. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards Angelo

  • what is this for...to make your own website???

  • @RellJones100 He's showing us how to add a contact form(so viewers of your website can send you emails) to a page on your website.

  • Hey

I keep getting messages like this...Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_SL in /home/midlan13/public_html/book.php on line 35

    Can anyone help?

  • This all works except when I get the email it says nothing even though they wrote stuff? do you know why?

  • Could you advise me to a vid/solution on how to do validation for a form as this? This works perfectly on a Mobile web view. Would javascript work if i deployed on a mobile web view?

  • No duty is more urgent than that of returning thanks. Great tutorial, I've been trying to get around php forms for a while but none made sense till now.

This form works great for me.

  • is there something I can do to remove the grey border that surrounds all of the fields?

  • when I check my code on the preview no uploaded to the host all i get is IE can not display the post, it doesnt show the page name:$name etc, does that mean my code doesnt work as I wont be uploading it to the host for a while? This tutorial is very helpful.

  • Thank you very much!

  • For all people having blank name/email/comments: Go to your contact.html (or however you named it), go to the form, select it, there should be an "action" somewhere in the property menu below dreamweaver or in the start of the form code, type "contactformprocess.php" (or however you called your php document) :) good luck

  • tbh this is tutvids tutorial just completely copyed with a diffrent voice and deleted a few fields

  • I did this and it works great. Although for some reason when the emails do send (which they do) the subject, name, and comments section are not there, it's all messed up. Wonder what I did wrong?

  • @feedphillipnow Did you every figure out why the fields were blank? I'm having the same issue....

I'd also like to ask: how do I redirect back to a specific webpage? I typed in my webpage in the URL redirect, but it just shows the "Your Message Has Been Sent" or whatever...

  • No. The tutorial worked for me. I've searched for quite a few and couldn't get them work. But this one worked completely and so it has been bookmarked and I have saved his file. The only thing is that it was challenging to try and follow what he was saying. That was the only problem I had. But good PHP script!

  • ur tutorials are shit. there' not in order, u don't have any series, so it's difficult to learn everything in order, not to mention i can't understand one fucking word ur saying becuz of your stupid accent. thanks for wasting 10 min of my fucking tme u fucking fuck

  • His tutorial worked for me but he was very difficult for me to understand.

  • I would just like to say that learning PHP on youtube is cool and all and there ARE some really neat tutorials, but If you ever felt that you wanna learn all of it quick, Simplephp is a complete guidebook to the php language in an e-book form. It takes all the useful information and displays it then goes on to the more complicated fancy stuff. Good php programmers can make like 125$ an hour so why not learn it and make the money yourself! Its WAY cheaper then all the rest. Here: tinyDOTcc/332n9

  • This worked great! I had trouble sending it to any emails with a differend domain than the webpage its on, but once I tried using the domain email it worked. I don't know too much about web script so I don't know why that is. Thanks for the help though!

  • I have a little confusion can any one tell me what is the use of "contactprocess" file

  • I've been at this for a week. Tried everything - I finally got 1 Response, which was incomplete - it took 15 minutes to get to my inbox though, Gmail. On Hotmail - well, it wouldn't even send.

I checked the script according to yours and the tutvid guy's script.. Pretty rage-ish right now :(

  • Where did you all copy the php script from? As the video is run through Youtube I can't copy the php as recommended? Help.

  • does anyone know if freehosting allows php in a way that u can use this?

  • No, most free web hosting services will require you to upgrade your account to be able to use php.

  • thats what i thought, since you said most, do you know of any that will allow u to???

  • erm... I don't think any of them do to be honest mate. You could try freewebs. Just type freewebs in google.

  • So any idea where I can obtain the PHP script listed in this video? Its doesnt sday where to get it from?

  • a good place to host your website that allows php scripting is 000webhosting check out my channel its got a video on how to set it up

  • i think my freehosting does

  • Has the tutor advised anyone to enable php on there machines?

I think most people who know Dreamweaver are prob ok! but PHP takes knowledge! to configure

  • i wach u video is very good but the problem i have i need to on top of my layout using dreamweaver

    thanks.

  • Not working for me , followed all the steps correctly and have uloaded all files .

When i hit submit it says the following

    Not Found

The requested URL /contactformprocess was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

  • @robcheshire I solved it by changing a bit of code in the contact form .

At the start of the code i changed the following

The code i had to alter different from your web tutorial was in the contact web page .

before the code read <form action="contactformprocess"

    I CHANGE THE CODE TO <form action="contactformprocess.php"

  • make sure the name of the php file is the same as in your html file code where ever you created the contact form. i had the same issue.

  • :((( it gives me this:

Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SMTP server response: 554 The message was rejected because it contains prohibited virus or spam content in D:\Hosting\4902710\html\sendEmail.php on line 28

    I hope it works !

  • good video..nice dwarf voice :))

  • It doesn´t work for me, what can it be?

  • I am definitely not an expert. After reading some other input I found some folks needed to upgrade their hosting so it would allow PHP. Like I said, I'm no expert.

  • This usually works great but occasionally, I'll receive an email of a sign-up but the form will be blank.

    name:
