  • This mantra is healing me and helping me

  • es muy bonita

  • - there is only one truth... it's where we come from and it's where we return.

    - while you are here, you will either follow your desires away from the truth or you can re-learn how to participate with it and become one with yourself and nature.

    - your ego will tell you exactly what you want to hear or

    - you can follow your heart home.

-wishing you the best of success with your choice and your time.

    -peace and love

  • Jai shiva!

  • Good one but the chant is not done properly.

The word Om needs to be prolonged for one complete breath exhale with resonating chest cavity.

  • Honro a mi ser interior...Om Namaha Shiva ,,,

  • GRACIAS, por haber regresado a mi, Om

  • This just resonates at the core. Simply and utterly beautiful. Thank You

  • Bom Shiva Mahadeva

  • Beautiful.

  • Jai Shiva

  • i love this mantra sooo much i cant stop

  • not sure if its this green tea or this mantra but my pineal gland is up to very strange things while hearing this :] om

  • "I bow to Shiva" as the supreme reality, the consciousness that dwells within, the inner self which is the form of God within you (God: also known as Brahma, Allah, Yahwey, Buddah, Christ Consciousness, Source Energy or by whatever you call its name). Sing this mantra with the feeling of bowing to yourself, feel the very vibration in your mouth, let it resonate throughout every part of your body / your being on all levels, and know that you are merging with the source energy; God.

  • @Alowisha that is beautiful.

  • @Alowisha

  • om namah shivay

  • What dose 'Namah' mean?

  • @billygundum

  • What does this mantra mean?

  • @xcalx123 Om is the Universal sound - the hum of Heaven-Man-Earth which is to say spirit, mind, and body.

    Namaha means devotion I believe

Shiva is a representation of God and particularly God's transformations. Read the Bhagavad Gita for a deeper expression of that.

  • @xcalx123 ITS A WORSHIP TO THE NAME OF THE CREATOR / DESTROYER WHO IS KNOWN AS SHIVA

    AUM THE NAME OF SHIVA

  • What is the meaning behind those words? I feel like I get a connection with the spirit of the world when I hear to this.

  • Om Namah Shiva. , Light, Love n Peace to all sentient beings. Namaste, Shalom, Hajo!

  • I feel empowered when I sing this chant: "Om Namaha Shiva!!!!" It feels as if the Goddess is being evoked!!!

  • @ilionessgraceful1 You ´re right about feelings, but Lord Shiva is GOD not Goddess :)

  • @TWORable Respect to the religious meaning behind "Shiva" . God and Goddess are ONE in my book....

  • @TWORable Is there not a Goddess in all of God(s) and the other way around?

  • @Genjinai nice perspective

  • I just Love this one:-)

même si je reconnais le ramanayha comme faisant partie de la revelation des 144.000 prophètes envoyés au monde, et sa communauté comme étant celle du sixième ciel, qui est d'ailleurs excellente.

  • I'm not Indian,I'm not hindu but I still say: Om Namah Shiva. This is your universe Shiva, as it's not meant for love but for destruction!

  • @Genjinai u r right u know about god

  • wadiad, how you people could give concept to Vedic philosophies which you people yet to understand a lot.

Hindu is the word first coined by Greeks to denote those culture and religion in Indus river area and still far beyond.Later,Persians pronounced this Indu as HIndu.

Hindu was used for the benefit of others outside India.

Ancient India was called as Bharat Varsh and it religion was called Sanadhan Dharma meaning 'the most ancient religion'.

West has nothing to with Vedic philosophies.

  • @Saraswathiputra Thanks for explaining this

  • Shambo Shankara Namah Shivaya!

  • i am not indian and hindu but i listen and chant it too

  • okay Id like to check something. anyone reading this comment, respond to it by inserting your ethnicity if you are a non-Indian Hindu. I'd like to see how many non-Indians are Hindu.

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx i am ..

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx ...as far as i understand "Hindu" is a western concept. Indians did not self-create that label, nor do they (in general) exclude people of other religions from "Hindu" practices. There is nothing to stop, for example, someone born a Christian from practicing tantra or yoga which is generally associated with Hinduism. Nor does it require a conversion, per se. "Hindu" is not mentioned in any ancient scriptures. Non-duality is emphasized. Hindu and non-hindu would be dualistic.

  • " Non-duality is emphasized" there are many theories on dualities of a variety.

  • @wadiad Good points!

  • Om Nama Shivaya

  • ohhhhh grandeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee shivaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • om naga natha mahadeva !

  • Beautiful, uplifting thank for the privilege.

  • Moron!Do you have any common sense!

You people may daily basis kill many people!

    Is it justify the killing?

Nobody pray cow. in Hinduism. Some animals are respected for their contribution to human race!

  • this is Panchakshri mantra. It is pronounced as Aum Namah Shivaaya. 5 lettered mantra. Aum Namah shi vaa ya.

    minimum chanting 108 times.

  • can you tell me the name of the autor of this song?

  • @eAlobre: the singer is sheila chandra. The lyric is just a mantra being repeated again and again - "ohm namah shivah" - its a mantra (not sure there is an author for it).

  • there probably is, but i would be insane if i expected you to know that, yes i meant singer, tnx very much :)

  • This mantra is important to me!!

  • Is there somebody?

    Nobady there.

    just emptyness

  • @Madved07 we are all here..you just need to listen :)

  • @dalnaibiideusername, thank you a lot, well I felt something like that but wasn't quite sure.

But the emptyness is frightening a bit..

  • @Dhragonfly because protect me from evil.

  • Hara Hara Mahadeva Shambo..........

  • relaxing!

  • shivaya is just another way to pronounce Shiva or the "actual" name Siva (in sanskrit the name has no "h" in it)

  • its the same thing

  • Shiva is the name of the Lord for whom we chant "Om namah shivaya". However, some people may also still chant "Om namah shiva".....its not the words that count....its the love you bestow upon God that counts....

  • Why does Shiva has snake on his neck in most of the images?

  • snake because snake indicating towards death , shiva is beyound death, time that's why name MAHAKAL beyound time or timelessnes. , another reason snake indicator of kundalni energy become active, sanke indicating of poison turning elixir. Lord shiva is every thing ness and nothing ness (emptiness of Buddha), always in meditation ,in Samadhi.

  • MahaKala and the name mahakala or mahakali means great time or above time or great blackness/darkness...also Another name for Shiva is Rudra, which depicts his wild or fierce aspect. also That particular serpent does not represent kundalini, as the serpent kundalini is depicted as being at the base of the spine curled around 3 turns, traveling upwards, or reaching the base of the skull/brain where the organ is thought to resides when awakened and then traveling on through the crown chakra

  • Om Namaha Shiva

Amen....My feelingsof LOVE beyond words in my Heart....

    Blessings, Peace Love LIGHT

  • Tears on my cheekswhen I hear these beautifull words. But I think words cannot tell the beauty which are behind the words...

  • "I bow to Shiva," the supreme reality, known as the inner self......the knowledge that we are all gods and goddesses.....BEAUTIFUL

  • helps me calm my anger let me turn it into something useful o lord....

  • beautiful !!!!

  • Simply perfect.

    Mo' Nasty.

  • What is the difference between SHIVA and SHIVAYA... Cause there is another mantra that says Om Namah Shivaya. Is there a difference?? Let me know please:)

    Thanks

  • Om Namah Shivaya i the six elements that rule the lower six chakras, but not in order. Shiva-ya means Lord Shiva -so it has multiple meanings.

  • hey type "Sakela~The Greatest Festival of Kirat People" and you find more about these people who are believed to have started the religion of worshiping phallus stones.

    also type "Kirat Temple"

This video you will see three phallus stones which is the main deities of the Kirat. But you won't see any image of Shiva like other Hindu Shiva temple.

    see you

  • there are many different versions of this mantra friend. om namaha shivai, om namah shivaya, etc... but behind all are a lot of the same seed sounds and are chanted for same purpose and intent. in some recordings on you tube the chanter switches between 5 of one, then 5 of the other... peace and love james and may all good things come to you sir

  • same mantra, in some cases, me for example one will switch back and forth between the two while chanting

  • @jameslikebond Shivaya is the correct word. Shiva + aya - it means " to Shiva". Adoration to Shiva. That's how Sanskrit works. :)

  • i can neva get bored of listening to this.

    this is just amazing.

    i <3 it

  • I love this video - is there any way I can get a complete video or is this just a coupleminute clip

    don

  • Om Namaha Shiva

  • I love this mantra and this song ... I LOVE IT ... PEACE BE WITH YOU ...

  • Thanks for sharing this with the world, may you be blessed.

  • "The clear conception of Siva arose in the Upanisadic age. Siva as been, for the first time, explicitly mentioned as the Aryan god in the Svetasvatara Upanisad in the background of Yoni-Linga relationship". There is never mention of Siva as Aryan god in Rig Veda, the oldest text of Aryan. ~Tribal roots of Hinduism By Shiv Kumar Tiwari

From here it can be ascertain that Siva was worshiped by the aboriginal Kirata and Dravidan people before the advent of Aryan.

  • This sound clip is great. Im going to use it in my Triligy series. Be sure to check it out. Coming within 1-2 weeks.

  • Use Google to find a tool called "FLV downloader". I think that works.

  • The Arabic "AMIN is same as the latin "Amen" is the same as the indian root sanskrit word "Om" which was considered as the "word of god" the shabda-brahma" or "all encompassing word as it represented the hindu holy trinity A for brahma the creator, U for vishnu the preserver and M for Mahesh the destroyer. Pronounced together, Aum sounds like Om but "is different a bit in that the "m" is to be pronounced nasally without closing the lips as one would so when pronouncing
